Can we have a multi-site work order

We are currently on Apps10 UPD14. For customer depot repairs - we use CRO with work orders. We have a new scenario where we receive the product to repair in site 1and start the work there, then have to move the product to site 2 to complete the repair.We’ve always restricted our repair process to a single site. Is it possible to have a work order cross multiple sites, and move product between those sites as part of the process?

Known Issues where M15 does not clear correctly

We are running Apps10 UPD19.We are experiencing a problem where when we ship no-charge items to a vendor as part of a purchase order (Purchase Component Method = Customer Order). IFS is not transferring the full WIP amount in the Material Cost for Purchase (POINV-WIP) inventory history step. This is an intermittent problem. Sometimes it transfers the full amount, sometimes it only transfers some of the amount, and sometimes it completely skips the POINV-WIP step. The problem is getting worse, with a significant increase in dollars posting to M201.Does anyone know of any known issues that can cause this? I’ve also logged a case with IFS, but so far they are unable to help since I don’t know how to recreate the issue.

Process to "decommission" Yellow Sticky Notes - prep for Cloud

We are Apps10 customers and my users are very heavy users of the Yellow Sticky Note. Need to remember to follow up with a customer on a urgent order - put in the Yellow Sticky Note. They create new notes every day.As far as I know - that data essentially “vanishes” when we go live with IFS Cloud. The information is no longer available and there is no way for the users to access the data stored there. Since my users currently use the Sticky Note to track critical information, I need a plan to basically force my users to stop using the Yellow Sticky Notes as part of my Cloud upgrade plan.Is there a way we could change access to Yellow Sticky Notes to be read only? This way, while we are still in Apps10, users can continue to reference information already in the Yellow Notes, but stop users from creating any NEW data in the Sticky Notes?My thought process is - I can’t stop them from losing historic sticky note data, but I can at least stop them from creating new information well befo

Lobby dividers - vertical vs. horizontal

We are running IFS Apps10 UPD14 using IEE and we are trying to figure out how IFS determines if it will use horizontal vs. vertical dividers. We have multiple people building lobbies and between us we are seeing 3 different behaviors. When we add a divider, we don’t see any way to specific orientation, it just seems to pick on its own.Horizontal Edit mode - Adding a divider - creates a horizontal divider View - reflects horizontal dividers (matches what you see in designer) Vertical Edit mode - Adding a divider - creates a vertical divider View - reflects vertical dividers (matches what you see in designer) Mixed Edit mode - Adding a divider - creates a horizontal divider View - reflects vertical dividers (does match what you see in designer) We are trying to make the published lobby look like what we see in the designer and we can’t figure out why the 3 of us are all seeing different behavior. Correct Report Definition for Advance Invoices

Running Apps10 UPD19We are having some issue with our Advance Invoice layout and I noticed that IFS is using Report Definition Invoice when we print an Advance Invoice. Report Definition Advance Invoice is not used.Both definitions are In the Customer Order Module.Is Invoice the correct report definition for an Advance Invoice? I was expecting the Advance Invoice report definition to be used.And if there is a choice - what controls the report definition used on an Advance Invoice?

Invoice dropping Line Item Table on some Advance Invoices

We are running Apps10 UPD19 and are having problems with our Advance Invoice printouts. This started in UPD14.When we print an Advance Invoice - if Finance overrides the default description (Prepayment) to anything else, the line item section of the invoice does not print. It goes directly from the header section to the subtotal.If Finance leaves the default text as Prepayment - the invoice prints correctly.Looking at our report archive info - IFS uses our Invoice (CUSTOMER_ORDER_IVC_REP) Report definition for Advance Invoices. When I compare the XML data for both invoices (prints correct vs. drops line item table), both appear to be correctly format XML files and the descriptive text is in the same tag (<CUSTOMER_PART_DESC>). The solution IFS support provided is to use a different report layout, except the report layout that works is an old layout with the wrong company contact info. I’m trying to figure out why my correct layout (I only have 1) works for all other invoices

Formatting Text Lobby Element

We are running IFS Apps10 UPD14 and I’m working on IEE Lobby Elements.I’m using a text element to add some additional context info to a lobby and I’m wondering how the “Formatting” section of the Element designer is supposed to work. I was expecting it to format my text (in this case, center the text plus bold and italics), but it doesn’t seem to do anything. How is it supposed to work?

Track which UI users are using - IEE or Aurena

We are currently running Apps10 UPD14We are about to launch a CRM Aurena project and I’ve been asked to report on users logging into Aurena vs. IEE. Is there anywhere I can find that type of information in IFS?

Repair Shop Order vs. Manufactured Rework Shop Order

Running Apps10 UPD14We have a variety of repair scenarios and we are trying to determine which is the better shop order type to use for our different scenarios. I’m looking for more information on the Rework checkbox in Manufactured Shop orders. Based on the description and some initial testing, checking the rework option appears to give us the same functionality as a repair shop order, with the benefit of it being generated out of the customer order and automatically linked.Does anyone have any insights about the differences (or similarities) between these 2 options.

Calculate Aurena URL for Custom Field

Currently running Apps10 UPD14.We have an open request to add a custom field in Aurena that is a calculated field that is a URL for another Aurena screen.Example - Customer Journal - where it shows a business opportunity, create a link to go directly to that business opportunity.Is there any info on how to calculate the Aurena URL if we have he exact transaction ID and want to calculate the URL?

Unable to login to CRM Panel

We are running Apps10 UPD14. We have SSO setup using ADFS. We updated our ADFS setup and the manifest file per the instructions in technical documentation. ADFS SSO works correctly for IEE and Aurena.After installing the Outlook CRM Panel add in - we see it on the toolbar. When it is selected, a login window flashes by, but the panel returns with just a login button. If we click that button, another login window opens and then closes (no errors displayed) - but the CRM panel only shows a login button.Any idea what is wrong?

Excel Migration Job History

We are running Apps10 UPD14I know we can see the history of migration jobs (which jobs were run when and by who) for the non-Excel jobs in view INTFACE_JOB_HSIT_HEAD. I’m looking for the equivalent information for Excel Migration jobs. Does that migration job history exist?

DB Performance slows down after installing UPD14

We are currently running Apps10 UPD14We run nightly and weekly jobs to extract data from our IFS database, run an ETL, and then post the final information set to PowerBI.We recently discovered that some of our initial data extract statements are running noticeably slower. Our business opportunity extract starting running 7 minutes slower immediately after the UPD14 installation.Wondering if anyone else has noticed a similar performance impact and looking for suggestions to fix it

How to Pause IALs that run on a schedule

Running Apps10 UPD11 Is there a way to pause/turn off scheduled jobs for a period of time? We want to stop the IAL refresh jobs from running while we do maintenance over the weekend. I know how to “un-activate” scheduled database tasks, but IALs are not in the DB task list. What would the equivalent be for an IAL

Document Management - Moving File Repository

We are currently on IFS Apps10 UPD6. When we originally implemented IFS at Apps8 SP1+, we made the decision to setup Document Management to be stored in the Oracle database. When we upgrade to Apps10, we moved our quote process into IFS. With that and other changes, we are seeing significant DB growth, which is mainly due to the number of documents we are storing in Doc Man. Feedback from our IT team is it’s taking noticeably longer to back up Oracle and to refresh our development environments from Production. I’m starting to thing about moving our doc man repository out of Oracle. Looking for guidance / words of wisdom / lessons learned Does anyone have experience to share moving document management out of the Oracle database Pros/Cons for the different doc man repository options? Do we lose functionality if we move out of Oracle? At what point would you consider an Oracle database to be “too big”?

User Account setup needed for Boomi IFS Connector

We are running IFS Apps10 UPD14We are using the IFS Boomi Connector for system integrations. I know I can use our app owner user ID for the integrations. How can I setup a non-app owner ID so it is valid in the IFS Connector? I haven’t been able to find any documentation on this.

Run Default Saved Search on Open in Aurena

We are running Apps10 UPD14In IEE - we can set a default saved search to run when a screen opens (inside Properties from Nav Tree). For example - in Business Opportunity, automatically search for Business Opportunities where status is not closed or cancelled, and the main rep is the current user, sort in descending order by create date.Can we do the equivalent in Aurena?We are trying to figure out the fastest way we can get meaningful info in front of the user. The sort order is one of the biggest usability challenges we have. It seems like IFS automatically defaults to sort by create date in ascending order. So - we are always seeing our oldest transactions first (customer orders, business opportunities, etc) and in general, these are the transactions we are least likely to want (we have 7 years of history).

Setting the correct user in docman when uploading a file via integration

We are on Apps10 UPD14 using Boomi / IFS Connector for integration.We have a scenario where we are using Boomi integration to upload a file into document management from an external app. I know who the user on the app is, and I know that users IFS user ID.My challenge is - IFS is recognizing my integration ID as the user uploading the file, and I need to set the docman access based on the application user.Example - IntegrationID is the ID Boomi is using and Joe.Smith is the user in the app. When Joe.Smith uploads a file from the app to IFS, I need the final result in doc man to look like Joe.Smith did the upload (as if they were in IFS when they did it) and not IntegrationID. Currently, it’s IntegrationID.

Finding Logs for RestAPI call from Custom Event

Running Apps10 UPD10 We are calling a RestAPI on a custom event - triggered by a field value changed. The event has suddenly stopped working (it is not connecting to the API) and we are trying to figure out why. Are there any logs in IFS that we can look at to see what is going on?

Logging into Aurena with app owner when use ADFS user authentication

We are using Apps10 UPD6. We use ADFS to give our users SSO into IFS. This means DB logins don’t work from the standard link. When we need to use the app owner ID, we go into the /admin page and use the “IFS Enterprise Explorer - Admin” link to use a DB login. We are starting to work in Aurena. It looks like I only have an “ADFS” door into Aurena. Does anyone know how I can login to Aurena using my DB App Owner ID?

App10 IEE - losing Mandatory Fields on user profiles

We are running Apps10 UPD10We use the Mandatory tab under properties to made additional fields required. But, some of these settings seem to be clearing and we don’t know why. We use base profiles to distribute required fields setting and users do not have access to properties to remove these fields. Does anyone know if applying Updates would change the mandatory field setting in user profiles? Does anyone know how I can create a database report listing current mandatory fields in user profiles? The idea is we could monitor that report for changes, catch and correct these changes as they happen, and hopefully find cause so we can prevent it

Use Drag and Drop to get Document Attachments out of IFS

We are running IFS Apps10 UPD10 (soon to be UPD13).Users are asking if it is possible to use drag and drop to get document attachments out of IFS and onto their desktop. We know how to use drag and drop to add documents, but can’t get it to work to access documents.What they want - when in a customer order (or purchase order or business opportunity or . . . ), be able to open the Attachments pane, click on Documents, select a document listed, and then drag/drop it onto their desktop.Is this possible?

Copy of the current Freight Interface documentation?

We are running IFS Apps10 UPD6 (just received UPD8 to install to our DEV). We have (and use) the freight interface. We are about to implement a new integrated freight system. I’m looking for the most current copy of the Freight Interface document. The version I have is a few years old. Does anyone know where I could get a current copy?
