Mobile Edge Inventory look up

Hi Aaron, is it also after upgrading to mobile v15.4.8.0 you encounter this behaviour and wasn’t it that way on a provious version ?Hi Phil, we cannot use the Empty Bins Removal Batch removal because in our regional warehouses we don’t use Bins, all prodicts are in Default Good.But I got confirmation from our field engineers that the 0 QTY download didn’t happen on Mobile before we upgraded to Astea v15.4 with Mobile v15.4.8.0. Can you please check again where the difference in behaviour comes from ? Is it a functional change or a BUG ?Anyway, our fieldengineers keep complaining that the 0 QTY is too much information, very confusing and anoying because it is useless information.

Hi Phil, then this means that the design is not correct in accordance with the documentation as a remote activity is classified by default as a location “At Site”I’ll register a ticket so R&D can correct this in a next version

AsteaMobile Edge - create/enter new serial checkbox

Hi Phil, this might be an option we also would use in the future to diable this checkbox so engineers cannot create serial numbers.The ideal would be a setting in the MOE, like you have to disable “create a new item” (-10115)

Site Items synchronisation on mobile

Hi Phil, I’ve tested and communicated the way of working to update the item in a Service Order while the engineer is working in it on mobile:set “exclude from mobile” on, save, select the required item set “exclude from mobile” off and save againThe order is removed out of the worklist on mobile after step1 and comes back in the worklist after step 2.The engineer opens the same order and can continue from the point what he already has registered.

Site Items synchronisation on mobile

Hi Phil, settings: -10122 = 200 and -10125 = 500 when the service order is on mobile, the product/item fields are grayed out, so in backoffice you cannot change the item the minor change in problem description does update the orderWe cannot simulate the situation but i advice our agents to check if the minor change in problem description helps to update added items on the site

Hi Phil, we run into a simular issue when an employee needs to be set inactive.first we remove all portals from the “Alliance Portal” page in the Employee Security module to be shure this person cannot use Astea anymore but also to be able to re-use the licences. then we have to wait until all orders where employee has a fullfilled activity (or has created) are in history before we can de-activate that employee. This can take serveral months, surely for repair orders where longer delays are more common (sent to vendor,...)with this method we can continue to work but our data for analysis is not correct. Employees are still active according Astea even after they have left the division already for a couple of months Will this be solved in HF6 for v15.3 ?

Hi Phil, thanks for insisting on development about ergonomic views. It is more difficult to see things that are hidden dan hide things you don’t want to see. In this case if all + are open by default, you see everything and you can hide if you want.Just like in the lookup screens were fields are minimised by default and you cannot see fields that are filtered by default.I’ll way for the feedback

minimize search criteria

Hi Phil, the minimize functions only when you select a number of fields shown on more then 2 lines.If you have no more then 2 lines, you’re not able to linimize, the red arrows are not shown. if you have more then 2 lines, the red arrows are shown and you can collaps to 1 line

print labels

Today in v10 we have an external tool who gets information from Astea database were we can select the document and in that document the lines we want to print a label for. The label contains document nr, product description, product ID (text + barcode), serial number (text + barcode), warehouse and bin.As this functionallity is not standard, we will reinstall the same tool on v15

Alliance v15 views are browser culture dependent.

Hi Phil, I’ve checked the tables with Anthony and we changed the culture code from views made before I changed language in my browser to the code of the actual language and this works. So recoverring views after changing the language in the browser is possible.We also saw the view_category = organisation for the Organizational views I made as customizer. The But those views are not available for other users.

Hi Phil, this works correctly using Edge or Chrome browser. We noticed that using Vivaldi as browser resulted in not correctly un-lock the order. Closing the order did not clear the lock field.

I clicked subscribe in a topic my colleague Gijs raised in the understanding that I could follow it in the list in my profile. But it don’t appear in the list, although I did see those topics before.The purpose is to follow all topics of all our employees.I set to follow Gijs a while ago, but that does not make me to see the topcisI also sent a mail to community@ifs.com as Phil advised.

Refresh interval

Apparently, the refresh rate is not saved with the view. It looks like each employee has to set the refresh rate individually and specific for each module. Can the refresh rate be added in the organization view so when any employee logs in and selects the standard organization view, we are sure that the refresh rate is set and not 0 as is default ?

We also see that date format is not the same for all users. When I log in, I have the correct date format:when another employee log is, he has the US-format, both using Edge or using ChromeHow do we need to set the correct date format for all employees ?

Refresh interval

Where do I have to set that personal Setting ?If I set the interval to 1 minute, I log out and log in again, the interval is 0 minutes again.Is that setting not saved and do you have to select this again every time you open the module ?We need a default Refresh Interval (1 minute is OK) to be set when an employee opens the module to avoid people to “forget”to do it

Organization Tree = too limited

Maybe its an option to make a view only on company level en no site level. To many sites result in a view which is not very handy (actually in v10) but our main objective is to see the company hierarchy as we use for multiple clients a Parten Company - Company - Sites hierarchy. This should result in a usefull graphic overviewAn actual workaround is to do an export to Excel from the Organization page to see a flat list of the hierarchical structure within a company.
