Copy ETM Datamappers

Another option that I find quicker is to open the ‘Raw’ tab in the mapper you want to copy. Select all and copy to clipboard.Then create a new mapper, add any single thing to it (‘No value when’ works well for me) and save. Once saved, head into the ‘Raw’ tab and paste your mapper into it.

I think we have figured out how this works @richardwest. Firstly, the homepage does cascade from user sessions from their homepage in assystNet. However, it ONLY cascades ‘Shortcuts’ and ‘Services’that they have pinned to the home page (example below).Mobile app example homepage Secondly, and this might not be connected but it was something we fixed at the same time to worth a mention. We added ‘https://’ to the server URL in our Intune configuration. Seriously private Action Type

It is not something I have tried or really thought about before. You could experiment with using CSGs on actions. This is similar to what we do with Action Templates to stop business areas viewing and changing each others things accidentally.

How to mask data field in IFS assyst?

I am not sure of any native way of doing this (if there is I haven't found it) but have a workaround of sorts.We have some custom fields on the ContactUsr form that are duplicates of some of the each other and control access through visibility as a proof of concept at the moment. Populate both fields from the ETM import and manipulate the data with a replace function for the masked field.Example below…

Can a Process an use External Spreadsheet/Database

You could use assystETM to import the data into the system regularly. Maybe as service items. (we do this all the time). This would allow you to drive the role lookup on the self-service portal form from that item and call related details in the workflows.Alternatively, if the data is accessible through an API then you could use the action processor to pull it down and update the ticket information. Something like Microsoft Graph pulling data from a SharePoint list would probably do the trick.

Ahhh, I misunderstood. This one isn't infallible but it might get you started.When we implemented assyst we were advised to use an empty stage called “Complete” to trigger closure in the action processor. If your configuration is similar then this should work for you.select ticket.incident_id "event_id"from incident ticketinner join inc_data tick_add on ticket.incident_id = tick_add.incident_idinner join act_type action on tick_add.curr_stage = action.act_type_idwhere ticket.status_enum = 1 and action.act_type_sc = 'COMPLETE'This will look for tickets in the ‘Complete’ stage but still showing as open. I even discovered some in our system that I should look into.

Promotion utility for Forms/Workflows/Shared Fields

We have used it successfully to reduce the effort required to replicate these things between environments. It dug us out of a hole when our firewall started to block traffic to our test environment which prevented us from using the customiser there. However, there are some nuances that need to be sorted out.

Error while opening a ticket on assystNET

I’ve seen these generic messages for a number of reasons so I cant tell you why you are seeing it. However, I tend to do the following to identify why I am seeing an error….Try raising the same ticket via assystWeb. If it generates an error too then they are usually more detailed. Watch the server logs whilst trying to submit the form to see what errors are being generated.

assystweb login delay

The IFS assyst support team were able to find something in the way the application compression was set up in this version. They were able to run a script on our web servers as a temporary fix and I believe it is permanently fixed in 11.6.2.It is probably work dropping their support a ticket.

ETM - Delete discontinued Event Builders

It might be worth clearing your ETM cache and deleting the ETM accounts open sessions to simulate a user cycling their log in to see if that would make a difference.

I think the ETM uses the assyst User below to process imports. The xxxxx being your account number.ETM assyst UserYou could start by checking the privilege groups that it belongs to (I have included the out of the box groups for reference) and make sure that the delete permission is checked for ‘Event Builders’ as an entity. You could try connecting your spreadsheet or Microsoft PowerBI to your database as a source and using Power Query to filter out your results. I used to do this with a previous ITSM tool. Tutorial: Connect to on-premises data in SQL Server - Power BI | Microsoft Learn
