We are looking for an action type which is not visible (in the action log) to other service departments. Never. Really Never. :-) Is this possible? I take it that action types flagged as private are visible to creating service departments and current assigned service departments. This is not what we are looking for.

It is not something I have tried or really thought about before. You could experiment with using CSGs on actions. This is similar to what we do with Action Templates to stop business areas viewing and changing each others things accidentally.

My realm is already assigned to a separate CSG, so I guess this would result in configuration hell. As actions are already filtered based on various flags, this hopefully isn’t rocket science - I’ll go for an enhancement request.
