Apps9 to Apps10 upgrade - Is re-configuration difficult?

We are looking to upgrade from IFS Apps 9 to Apps 10.We have quite a lot of configuration, which i fear will fail after the update scripts have been applied (Am thinking due to view name changes)Has anyone been through the process of upgrading, did you need a lot of consultant time or were you able reconfigure yourself?Also, how easy is it to then uplift pages into Aurena?Am thinking of the future, we have quite good skills in house, but with over 3000+ custom objects I worry we will have to budget for developer time so want to get my house in order

How can I resend e-mail invoice?

Using APPS9 We use the standard functionality to email our customer invoices out from the ‘Print Customer Invoices’ screen. Simple RMC and selection option to emailSome for whatever reason have failed and we would like to resend. Anyone know if there is a resend method? We can print, but that doesn't make the standard event fire.Alternatively - any clues on how I setup customer emailing of invoices via report rules?? Thanks

Apps9: Is there a way to automatically close partially receipted purchase orders?

I understand there is a process where you can close a PO if the part is within tolerance, but I am wondering if there is another method of closing in-receipted PO’s. Maybe by time frame?? Thanks

Apps9: Change orders updates open receipt prices - can we stop this?

We recently realised that when PO had change processed due to price increase and PO was updated to new price; receipts that were created prior to this change but not matched to an Invoice are updated to new price as well.Is there a setting anywhere so I can turn that off, we have issues where we order in bulk but the price changes and sometimes there is a lag between the goods arriving so we would need to receipt them at the old priice

Apps 9 - Can i create a pop-up message which fires depending on supplier on the manual supplier invoice screen?

I have a request from the AP team to have a pop-up message if particular suppliers are used in the manual supplier invoice entry screen.We have some suppliers who give settlement discounts, based on the type of invoice/product or service purchased so want to make sure the entry clerk follows those instructions.Is there any functionality in IFS that already does this? Am assuming at the moment, that I would need a custom logical unit which had the supplier identity and message required, and then an event would be needed that checks on the lu and if it finds an entry its displayed. Am hoping there is an easier way to achieve?

Apps9: Can you turn off receipt financial transactions?

We have a business under the who would like to configure IFS to only create GL postings when the supplier invoice is received.At the moment, the posting control setup means when goods are received, an entry into the P&L with the offset being the GRNI account.We would like to switch this functionality off for one company.They have very little goods received which have not been invoiced and the additional transactions differences are hard to reconcile (Often rounding in the postings).Effectively, they would like to receipt the goods, have no financial transactions created and then post the supplier invoice to the P&L (Using the purchase order pre-posting)Is this possible through parameters in IFS?

Apps9 - Limiting access to amend supplier and onetime supplier bank details

I am looking to limit the ability to amend one-time suppliier payment information to specific users in our AP team.Does anyone know the security i need to remove to prevent the user being able to overwrite/save or possibly even remove the ‘Payment Information’ tab altogether??At the moment, anyone who has access to the one-time supplier specific information can amend.

Apps 9 - 3rd party hauler/shipment intergration help needed

We are currently using a 3rd party haulier to deliver goods produced at our sites. When doing this we have an event based solution that fires when a new shipment is created with a particular ship via. The event registers key shipment information in a custom table. That table is then captured and sent to an FTP folder via IFS connect/application messages.It can be a little unreliable, due to the fact that users are able to update shipments and events aren’t always firing. Coupled with the occasional application message fail, and table lock it’s not a reliable solution.I am tempted to reconfigure the events to fire from the shipment table only, but am finding that as the changes are registered on the customer order, the shipment is only a reference so doesn’t recognise any changes! Am wondering best way to approach this. Does anyone else have any 3rd party hauliers you need to send information almost real time with updates? Our customers change their mind frequently and we like to be fle

Apps9 - Is there a way we can send customer invoices out by email that have already printed?

We have an issue where we have printed a lot of Customer invoices that should have been emailed ( The PDF created event was not enabled)is there a way I can do this en masse? I have around 800 that need to go :(

Apps 9 - What is the best way to handle incorrectly allocated received cash? - Credit Control

We have a situation where customers make payments for invoices, but as invoice amounts are the same they are incorrectly allocated.What is the correct functionality to use to modify allocated payments? The credit control team have been using customer payment roll back, but they are unable to do this when the bank reconciliation has marked the payment as ‘matched’.Any guidance appreciated, the workaround of putting on a 0 value payment we are using isn't the greatest.

Apps 9 - Is there a way i could restrict a date field to only allow a user to a date of today or greater?

We have an issue where some users enter a wanted date in the customer order in the past ( 2020Instead of 2021!)perhaps I could create an event which fires a message to user? Would like to stop them altogether really so perhaps an event that doesn’t allow a past date?Any ideas?

Apps9: How can i output my invoice print in XML or CSV?

I am wondering the best way to create an electronic output file, preferably in XML format that I can send to a third party who will print and post our invoices.Is there a native way to do this from report definitions/print rules or an event? Or should I use a file out mgration script??Thinking of best practice ways to achieve this? Thanks

Apps 9 - Whats the best way to pass a purchase order that was created from a customer invoice onto the sales invoice print?

We have a scenario where product is sold to a customer which is purchased from a supplier and delivered direct. Our current crystal invoice print needs to be reference the purchase order number as that appears on the shipping document. What’s the best way to achieve this? Use an IAL? Or simply reference on the crystal report? Thanks for help in advance

APPS9: RMA question - How can i receive 0 back into stock?

I would like to complete this RMA, but am unable to.The 1st line allows receipt, but the second line says ‘0’ - I have tried to receive that into stock but the RMA pop up just resets the value to spaces and am unable to change the status - any thoughts?? Any thoughts how I can complete/close this RMA?

How can i avoid a mutating problem with a custom event that sends emails when an application message finishes?

Am seeing the following error in the DB alert log when the event fires. -4091: ORA-04091: table IFSAPP.FNDCN_APPLICATION_MESSAGE_TAB is mutating, trigger/function may not see itORA-04091: table IFSAPP.FNDCN_APPLICATION_MESSAGE_TAB is mutating, trigger/function may not see itI have seen people getting around this with an autonomous pragma - but cant insert as am not executing an SQL block but sending an email. Any ideas?

Apps9: Can i restart background jobs that error in a different batch queue?

I have a number of jobs that have gone into error. I want to be able to restart them, but they take a long time to run. Am I able to send them to a different batch queue of my choosing?

Apps9 Migration file path error

I have added a new file path but when I try to use with IFSAPP am seeing the following error message:Java call terminated by uncaught Java exception: java.security.AccessControlException: the Permission (java.io.FilePermission \\vm-ftp-02\HORIZON$\TEST\Outgoing\Customer read) has not been granted to IFSAPP. The PL/SQL to grant this is dbms_java.grant_permission( 'IFSAPP', 'SYS:java.io.FilePermission', '\\vm-ftp-02\HORIZON$\TEST\Outgoing\Customer', 'read' ) Using SYS, I have run the PL/SQL as the message suggests but its still not working - any ideas?

Apps9: How can i add a new file path to a mig job??

I am creating a scheduled MIG job, which I want to output onto a particular server folder. This doesn't appear to work as I expect and I have noticed that you can perform an LOV lookup and I have some file paths already set.How can I add a new one to that list? I cant seem to find the screen in IFS to do this?

APPS9 - Emailing customer invoices is sending the PR (Preliminary Invoice) as well as the final invoice

Any ideas how this could happen?Normally we run a print/email and this performs following stepsTakes the Prelim Invoice and creates a Final invoice Final invoice is then emailed to the customer where email address is present It would seem, somehow the email has sent the prelim invoice rather than the final.Any ideas how I can stop this happening?

apps9 - AP kpi report needed for purchasing team displaying which POs matched to a supllier invoice 1st time. any ideas where to start?

I need to come up with a repo to show management how many times a supplier invoice has matched to a PO. we have issues where people forget to receipt and would like to be able to measure when a user tries and fails to match on first pass? anybody know of anything I can work from?

Apps 9: How many processes do you have in your batch queues?

We have issues where functionality slows down, and I have noticed it can be caused by large jobs being undertaken during the day. These are often cleared through relatively quickly but we are then left with a backlog of jobs waiting.We currently have 1 process on each of the 10 queues we have setup.I would like to increase that for jobs that are not required to run on a single threaded queue but am concerned on the fall out.How many batch queues do you have configured, and do you have more than one process on any of these??

APPS9 - How can I stop application messages looping??

I have an urgent issue where application messages are stuck at processing - which appears to be filling the archive logs.Everytime i try to stop the job i receive an error message informing me that the ‘application message object has been locked by another user’.Any ideas??

Apps9 - Application Message occasional error - 'Message has no body' - any ideas?

We use application messages to send EDI invoices, delivery instructions etc.. however, we frequently see error messages saying that the message has no body. These all resend correctly with a simple right mouse click to restart but any ideas why these fail in the first place??Any ideas how to prevent this? Or automatically resend failures?

Apps 9 - How can i determine where my IFS dev environment is looking for our crystal report layouts are held?

Keep getting message back saying the crystal report cannot be found. Report definitions and rules are fine. I also get another message suggesting the layout is not held in the database. i want to be sure the dev version which is a recent copy of live is pointed toward the correct dev layout folder but not sure how to determine this? all help appreciated
