MSO: HR Integration?

Hi,Yes, This issue is resolved there in MSO from 23R2 release onwards.MSO will consider HR schedule of Employees if it’s defined to consider HR schedule in ‘Manufacturing Labor Class’ page. If Use HR Schedule is selected and IFS Human Resources is installed, Capacity hours changes due to HR calendar also will be considered for MSO same as we do in CRP calculation for the Site. If Use HR Schedule is not selected, the person's calendar will be used.Thanks!Lakshan

Yes, as Mats described above, there could be scenarios where Master Scheduling does not create Shop Order Requisitions between inside PTF. @majose is on the Top of this topic. HI Alberto,I’m confused with the explanation given by support personal. I guess it might be a typing mistake DTF over PTF.And the Explanation given by you in the Bottom is correct.Basically, - DTF -> corresponds to a frozen zone, no change in demand and supply - Correct!- PTF -> planning period, here supplies are created for the forecast recorded in the period in the form of shop order requisition, with certain parameters also over the entire forecast period - Correct!- Outside PTF -> Planning proposals - Correct! You will get unconsumed forecasts for this period.However, If in Master schedule Level 1 part; ‘Create S/P Req.’ column also has an effect on this.The available options are;Create S/P Req: Fixed MS proposals within the planning time fence (PTF) create supplies. Do Not Create S/P Req: MS proposals do not create supplies. The supplies are based on the customer order or parent shop order, or must be entered manually. IFS page unresponsive for one user in Chrome

Hi,As the final option before setting up a new user account, did you try to ‘Clear the User profile’ of specific user in IFS Cloud? That would reset the User specific settings within IFS Cloud so then the User will reset as new user.Please note with this action all user specific settings like Bookmarks, etc.. all may get cleared.Thanks!

Automatic MRP performs differently to Manual MRP

Hi James, There shouldn’t be any difference in functional behavior of Manual MRP action and Automated action scheduled via a scheduled task.What we can check here is when the system performs automatically, the MRP run is really happening after the MS Level 1 calculation or not.Sometimes you are already having this in Apps8, in cloud scheduled task for MS Level 1 calculation we can set automatic MRP execution after the MS level 1 calculation so the tasks will not interrupt or may not interfere each other when they are executing in a sequence. APB scheduling shop orders both ASAP and ALAP

Hi Eric,It is bit confusing why you are trying to achieve such behavior?If the Purpose is to utilize available machine capacity at op 10 that would happen even when you finite schedule ‘As late as possible’. And also you will get accurate start dates for finite raw material planning, etc.For those aspects there is no such difference in the functionality based on the scheduling direction that you select. The method you are trying to use here may create lots of gaps within a single shop order and that would create lots of Work In Progress (WIP) stock in your production.If the requirement is finishing as late as possible you can use that option in scheduling and eventually all other finite constraints will be considered by APB when scheduling.For a selected order you can select and try selectively schedule option in APB for Op10 As soon as possible and then select remaining operations of same order and do schedule as late as possible. Hi,No, Shop Order Infinite scheduler is the inbuilt scheduling algorithm in SHPORD component. If you need to keep the scheduled order as it is you can release it soon after scheduling it with APB. Then when scheduling with APB you can exclude released orders. It is always good to follow these scheduling ethics when working with any scheduling solution (i.e. Even in MSO) so you will not end-up in such confusing situation. Thanks!Lakshan

Hi Alberto,In new IFS finite scheduling solution MSO (Manufacturing Scheduling & Optimization) user will get this specific state called ‘Fixed’ where Users can set from Smart Manufacturing Planning Board (SMPB). This state will maintain the Resource and time assignment as fixed. That would be a precise and granular function that you expect for explicit fixing. Hi BytAlberG,Firm/fix up shop orders can also be considered as Released Shop Orders. So after setting the firm orders as released, then User can use specific filtering options given in APB change schedule dialog. When you uncheck the Released objects options APB will not reschedule the Released Operations and they will not move. Thanks!Lakshan

APB sheduling shop orders

Hi BeaIoanaC,Please check if there is any scheduled task to reschedule the Shop Orders by Site. Such task can reset all times set by APB to default values which are generated by ‘Shop order infinite Scheduler’.And also if any user make any modification to specific Shop Order parameters like Need date, EPST, Lot size or hours that also should trigger Shop Order Infinite scheduler and may reset the dates. You can find the Scheduler information in Scheduling Status column in Shop Order Operations table. In earlier versions of IFS applications this column is referred as CBS Scheduled. If APB scheduled this column is showed as Finite Scheduled. If not It should be Infinite Scheduled. Thanks!Best Regards,Lakshan

Timeclock - Filter in applicable operations

Hi,For this requirement you can use ‘Shop Floor Workbench’ to report the Qty complete, It has a ‘My Assigned operations’ toggle where the User can filter the list of operations based on ‘Shop Floor Workbench’ logged in employee.STOP PRODUCTION in ‘Time clock’ is almost similar to Stop production in Shop Floor Workbench. So the User is validating when filtering the Operations required to Stop. So basically the operation should be started by same user or team to report the Stop. With REPORT QTY COMPLETE option we are expecting the scenario where any user can report any other operation which is started by any employee. How to change customer Owned” status in IEE

@meshfemi After the Ownership transfer created PO should be in Closed state.This is automatically creating by the System to create required invoices for the Supplier/Customer.If you want you can cancel the PO receipt and then PO will be cancelled and then your part will become customer owned again. Setting the purchase price as zero would be the workaround to make it zero payables.Other workaround for your concern would be scrapping the incorrect ownership serial and replace it with new company owned serial identity.@Johan Lundström may have better insights on this.Thanks!Best Regards,Lakshan

Site MRP does not create supplies for random parts

Hi Nimesha,Results from Site MRP run should be consistence in generic business case. Selective MRP is a light version of Site MRP designed to perform MRP for a Part or part selection considering Planner, department, production line etc. So if it works correctly and Site MRP gives inconsistence results then this sounds like an technical issue which needed to investigate further.For this concern if the issue is re-creatable you can raise this as a support issue in Manufacturing queue.Thanks!Best Regards,Lakshan

APB scheduling not working

Hello BeaIoanaC,This is a very familiar situation for a Planner in a dynamic busy production facility.Unscheduled situation can occur due to various reasons in APB. Since you have set the Maintain Resource Assignment APB will keep the existing resource assignment for the new schedule action as well. With this setting even though you have enough capacity in other resources system will not consider them for this schedule action.Calendar unavailability of the assigned resource, resource break assignments or any other available capacity based reason can be checked from Visualizer or Machine load details overview. Finite Materials connected to particular shop order is another constraint you need to check here.EPST and Need date of the shop order is also considered when scheduling on time or Tardy. Relationships of particular order with other operations also should be checked. (I.e. Preceding/succeeding relationships, DOP, Project connections, Batch Balance IDs.Thanks!Best Regards,Lakshan

How to change customer Owned” status in IEE

HI Meshfemi,This ownership transfer should be initiated from the Inventory Part in Stock window.Connect the owned customer to a supplier Use Inventory Parts In Stock to get a list of the parts to be updated Right click on the part lines and select Ownership Transfer > Transfer Ownership to Company Enter a purchase price in the “Transfer Ownership Company” pop up window and click on the button OK The system automatically creates a purchase order for the amount of the purchase price enteredIn this process a purchase order is created from a dialog box and the result is a purchase order receipt that changes the ownership of the part quantity, i.e., a receipt in place.Thanks!Best Regards,Lakshan

How does MRP Action Proposals function in relation Purchase Requisition Lines?

Hi Nimesha,If I’m not mistaken Invent is also looking at Site distribution calendar which is general one for purchased parts. Reason for difference is, if there is not any primary supplier for the part, MRP is looking at the distribution calendar for the whole lead time period. But Invent is using calendar just to find the next working day and then it just add the lead time into that particular site date. However MRP is more precise because if there is a primary supplier for the part, then MRP will calculate the Leadtime considering supplier manufacturing lead time, inspection lead time, external and internal transport lead times. This direct calculation happens only when there is not any primary supplier for the part in MRP.Thanks!Lakshan

Hi Linda,In Cloud, Shop Floor teams overview is available and from there you can setup new shop floor teams.After that User can connect each Shop Floor employee to a default team based on the functional need. Hi Dilip,This would not be possible in core solution.Clocking Notes in Shop Floor Workbench are manufacturing solution specific notes adding option which you can see as a column in Shop Floor Clockings Overview by directly accessing from Navigator. This doesn't have any direct relationship with shop floor employee and clocking notes can be added for all types of shop floor time reportings.Time Clock screen belongs to Human resources solution where you can report employee clockings for any task that particular employee does. Hi Nimesha,Expected Lead Time Date in Inventory Part is using Distribution calendar given in the Site to decide the next working day of the site and then it counts number of days required based on the Purchasing lead time. This is normally calculated in the Calculate Purchase Leadtime window but also is an user editable field so here we have given the User convenience to define approximate number of days based on the Supplier lead time plus other overheads.In MRP we do some precise calculation counting from MRP Run Start date and Event date considering site distribution calendar for purchased parts. Hi KelseyLewis,In APB/CBS it is designed to adjust the dates based on maximum of 10 days earlier and 10 days later vice versa.Based on this adjustment, Adjusted dates columns are updating.APB/CPS Show contents dialog.Adjustment Factor range is fixed as -999 to 1000. Beyond these levels would be considered as maximum/minimum.So the Dates are adjusting as shown in the example graph below.However the way of this definition is already changed in newer MSO solution by introducing all new ‘MSO priority score’ column in IFS cloud.Thanks!Lakshan

MRP Type is Selective MRP

Hi Basil,‘Planned by MS’ is setting for the parts defined as MS Level 1/0 parts. They are excluded from MRP calculation since their supplies are balancing from Master Scheduling (MS).“Site MRP” is setting from Site MRP run when you are performing MRP for entire site using Perform Site MRP dialog.“Selective MRP” is setting when you perform MRP selectively for specific part. This is a lite version of Site MRP option which can use to quickly generate supplies required for a specific part. In the Perform Site MRP dialog you can find the command to ‘Selection’ and do the required selection based on part or part specific things like Planner, Product Family, Product Code, etc..Thanks!Best Regards,Lakshan
