Hi Naija If the requirement is very specific , It is better to write a function , else the Amount to Words function mentioned above works well. You may use it, and run the report in Arabic language for the generic translations.
Dear Davido If it is only for yourself as a user, you set this up with your personal profile, whereas if it is for multiple users , then you set this up using a Base Profile. Under Options, Go to User Profile . Choose Base Profile ( for impacting multiple users) and Personal Profile ( if it is just one user ). Note: Each user is by default connected to his personal profile. A base profile can be linked additionally, thus setting up common system behavior across multiple users. I assume , your need is a Base profile . Click on Edit Base profiles and select the base profile . Now go to the screen where you would like to make Fields Mandatory ( header, detail , etc etc) . Right click, and Go to Properties ( usually at the bottom ) and then Select the fields to be made mandatory ( use the tab Mandatory fields ) Once the properties are set, remember to come back to this above screen Options. Hi Davido Please share a screenshot of IFS where you are facing this issue. We will need to check the specific fields and tabs. Which version of IFS is this? Before making it mandatory, does the system allow you to choose from LOVs for this field? Meaning , is this a data entry field OR a fetched field . Only if they can be optionally entered today, then it can be made as mandatory for all, so that users do not miss on making the data entry. If the fields are based on a any other functionality/ configuration of dependent data setup, etc, then this is not a base profile work, but consulting work , to check the dependencies of solutions and then enable the solution Regards Vivek
Dear @IFSmattis You will have to drag the columns in the order that you would need the fields displayed. If this is a TAB, which is similar to Overview screen ( tabular in nature ) , then you have to drag and order them manually. If is in a Form View, then you have to make the changes in the Layout ( RMB , Properties, Layout) You will have to do the same with a base profle , in edit mode, and then save the changes, in case you want to percolate the changes to multiple users connected to the profile. Work Around / Trick : In case , you have not yet deployed the custom fields, you can rename them to 100_CF_<Field Name> , 101_CF_<Field Name> , thus they will be in a natural order of display, as per your requisite display needs. Thus just by using a Number at the beginning, you will be able to apply the order in which you want the fields displayed within that Custom LU. Have not tried this yet, but I have used this data trick whenever I have faced the need to order
Hi Sandra Currently , the only way to do that is if you do not want user to see any/all Custom Menus, then it can be done ( using the option Include Custom Menus, under Properties» General Tab» Menu Behavior) If you want user to see some of the custom menus, published for the screen, and want to restrict just one out of many custom menus, this is not feasible currently. Tried the above suggestion by Rusiru, but custom menus, do not have their own presentation object. WorkAround/Tips: Tentatively, Use the option for setting conditions, from a data perspective, as to which data, should this user see and use, and when should this custom Menu, be applicable to be used. This is not a straight forward solution, as Users are not listed here. Will need some insightful business decision , as to under what conditions, should this menu be used and not used. Second Workaround: Segregate the custom menus, into different Application Packages. CustomAppPackage 1, should be linked to CM1,
Dear AdarshThe standard output of IFS order reports if printed or emailed, is a PDF file. With the XML file being available, it is easier to send the XML to any such system ( to which IFS is to be integrated). By having this directly within the product, we can eliminate the transformation of the report, during the integration.Report Engine is capable of calling IFS connect to send the report in XML, so that the Reciver ( internal or external companies) can read the XML much easier than investing in an OCR to read the PDF.Hope this helps. Dear @KIMKIMANDREW Based on our inputs, the following is my thoughts. Change the conditions to being mutually exclusive of each other. In this case Rule 1 should be for SITE CODE equals ( say A), and Rule 2 Should be for Site Code Not Equals ( to A). Set Logical Printer Id = HARD_COPY . I assume there is a physical printer named as HARD_COPY, installed on the a specific machine to receive these prints. There will be a necessity to configure a print agent , to frequently check if any job is being sent to the Logical Printer, and to forward this to the printer , on that server/system, with the same name called HARD_COPY. Dear JohnsonThis is definitely a unique error, and not something I have come across. The problem statement , in my opinion, also has the solution .It is very rare that a personal profile is disabled for a user. All controls are provided through the base profile. Instead of disabling the Personal Profile, do remove the ability to make such profile changes, which are not to be done by the users. Ex: Users are allowed to create their own favorites / Shortcuts, however They are not allowed to make Navigator changes, Layout changes, etc . Thus the chances of users overwriting base profile controlled changes on layouts/mandatory setup is all restricted. This approach may help resolve the above challenge. The issue itself on the SFWB seems unique and due to the conflict of not finding their personal profiles and the content within the base profile. This is a guideline and hope ti helps resolve . Dear SimonYou do not need the outer join to the Purchase Order Charges View, as you are already using an API (Purchase_Order_API.Calc_Total_Gross_Incl_Chg(purchase_order_cfv.order_no)) to get the total for the charges. This is the reason you see multiple lines per order, if there are more than one charge.You would need to use a join, only when you want to display additional fields or columns from the view. In this case, you are looking for the sum total of charges, and using an API for this, thus no need for the join.Remove the below lines from the codeLEFT OUTER JOIN purchase_order_chargeON purchase_order_cfv.order_no = purchase_order_charge.order_no Eliminate this and then check if the PO total and the PO charges come correctly.RegardsVivek

Hi SimonAssume you were using plsql to build the query till now. While deploying you have to add "Ifsapp." before any view or package that you are calling. Hi DjayThe way to work this out is trial and more trials. Presenting an option that I think may work use the custom page as a TAB in one of the primary screens related to the process. Fetch the default value (s) on a custom field. Use the above custom field as a link between the top page and the custom tab ( your custom page). if you populate the top page, then the custom tab will display data as per the Default value in the field To be creative, you can still Set the top page, to run the query (saved query) by default, so that user does not have to fetch his defaults first. Also do not display these defaults, if you feel so . Thus making the user feel it is the custom tab. RegardsVivek

Hi MDGDAUPHINEEWhat you have done, is managed the content inside the Event Action body, as a TEXT, hence the numeric is very generic number. if this is a custom Event, then pre-format the values in the field or add a custom formatted field in the EVENT itself , to add the thousand separator. We would deploy custom functions to achieve the 1000’s separator , and then use this function to format our numbers. Alternatively, you may use the Execute PLSQL to send the email, but then you have to build the entire necessary parameters, plus the body, to format every line/field , as per your custom requirement. The above 2 examples, attached by Kasun, give you a flavor of each, but its an effort to mix both the worlds : HTML and PLSQL.RegardsVivek

Please check , under IFS Solution Manager » Interfaces » Routing Rules , where the Routing Address, is a BIZ API : ManageMobileApplications:CreateAllAppEvents. If your organization does not use Mobile Applications at all, and if this is not relevant to your solution, you may disable it here. As indicated above, Navigate to IFS Solution Manager» Event Actions and search for ITEM_CONNECTED_TO_PKG , . You may disable them, if and if you have not implemented any Mobile solution framework. if these are event messages, coming recently , after an update and or they were working correctly earlier, now they are appearing , it is best if this is reported for analysis, than just disabling the solution. Note IFS does support in loading the Charges equally amongst the lines or as per the price or even for each line. Find the right field at the PO line level which provides the cost per line and you have this info.For the actual field value, check with Mohd. Rafi, Hope this helps.
Hi HarryDid a trial on the IFS TRY ME SCAN IT and found that the scanned value will be validated for the FIELD that is currently displayed, even without having to click and get the cursor. If your requirement is to SCAN a value, there is no need to have the cursor in the field. Directly click on the SCAN ICON and (the last icon using the camera scanner) and execute the scanningI am not sure about TC52 Zebra.. But every hand held device specialising in the Barcode scanning comes with a direct button to point the scanner and scan. As long as the field shown is the one you are scanning, IFS Scan It will validate and work, even without cursor actually having to be clicked.Also, set the LOV to Off, in the settings if this field is to be scanned alone, and not to be chosen from LOV. Note : The Keyboard and the Cursor being in the field active, is needed only if you intend to type.The need to click to make keyboard popup is a smart mobile device behavior, and is a common behavior across all O
Hi ProThushAFor an IFS generated "Barcode ID" or GTIN code or Part Number , this is technically feasible.Theory :An RFID scanner scans and passes value to the screen (instead of the Barcode scanner), and the value exists in the system as an actual value, in any of the fields, the transaction should proceed ahead.Note: I would say, this will not work for Active RFID tags, has to be passive. This is my assumption.Without an actual POC, I would not stamp on it as a 100% deliverable solution and Agree for a delivery. Needs thorough testing before committing.
Hi W.r.t IFS Cloud , since the application for Aurena is multi device compliant, my understanding is that there would be no seperate mobile apps developed. for apps 9, there was a few associated apps, such as Incident Reporter, Non Conformance ( more of Quality ) and also a Audit compliance tracker ( Again Quality audits).Consider using the aurena pages directly on your mobile devices , in case of need to implement the processes.

Hi UdithaAm assuming , you are looking for some support to identify the table, on which the custom event needs to be configured. View name is : APPROVAL_CURRENT_STEP . Based on this you should be able to further design the custom event, with conditions ( Status = Approved or Rejected).Assume that the action will change, based on the Object Key and LU , meaning if the approval templete is connect to Shop Ord, the action will be different, and if the object key is connected to Project , as an example, the action will be different. Hi @ZTC ZTC JGOTA With the conditions that you have placed of NO SAVED SEARCH , and PROFILES / TEMPLATES, this would leave you with a custom modification. The higher versions of IFS Apps have a functionality called HIDE from LOV, which from the screen shots, is assumed not in your IFS Version. A field called validity is provided in the basic data My recommendationsOption 1 is to use the saved searches ,and base profiles - as this delivers the result without modifying, and is quicker to adopt and deliver solutions to end users. Prefered and recommended advise, from my end. Option 2 - Adapt to the new LOV functionality and add custom Hide from LoV flags, to such critical basic data on the application , as a modification , and then use it to modify the views , where the flag is set of Active - choose this wisely, as it will have to be reviewed/rethought during the next upgrade.
