ORA-20112 error on Incoming Customer Orders

We are experiencing a large number of stopped Incoming Customer Orders during our scheduled file import each morning, across multiple customers with the error message: ORA-20112: CustomerOrder.EXIST2: The Customer Order object already exists. These orders do not already exist, and if the user RMB > Approves the order from Incoming Customer Order, it will approve the error without any prior action needed. We have previously submitted this issue to IFS, and they were not able to recreate in their environment - leaving us without answers. I was able to recreate this error in our TEST environment, using our incoming prod orders from today, and I resubmitted a case to IFS - but looking to see if anyone else has experienced this error?

Document Macros

Hi All, few questions from a colleague, re Document Macros I guess you know, there is a standard functionality in “DMS” that allow to fill a Word document automatically with fields in IFS (Macro – VBA). I’m looking for answers about those questions and it is not easy to find : Are those fields able to come from different Views or is it necessary all fields should come from the same one ? o Exemple : I have a file in GED with macro, connected to the View "Purchase.Order". In the file I would like to get the "Manager" field coming from the LU Project. Do I need to add a customfield read only to bring the manager in the View "Purchase.Order" ? Can we put a value in the Word document, depending on condition ? o Exemple : If a field in IFS is “YES” then the Macro populate a field in a certain value in the Word document. If “NO” then the Macro populate the same field with an other value ? The answer should be somewhere in the screen “Macro basic” but it’s too technical for me. Thank you,

ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error: character string buffer too small

In IFS 10/Aurena on the Change Request Form we had 8 custom bulk/multiline fields set to 500 characters each. Submitting a change request with these filled to that limit was not a problem.It was then requested to increase these to the max allowed, and after looking around, it seemed to be 4000 characters is what we needed to set, due to limits in PL/SQL. Each Custom Field was changed to a 4000 character multiline and when synchronized the database was showing Varchar2(4000) as expected for each.When filling out a new Change Request, and using just 2000 characters in each of the custom fields, an error was thrown and the Aurena debug log window shows the following: 09:49:52 TRACE - DATABASE {"origin":"DB","indentation":"11","time":"94786019","category":"FRAMEWORK","level":"ERROR","type":"Framework","text":"ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error: character string buffer too small"}09:49:52 ERROR - PL/SQL: (Server Error) numeric or value error: character string buffer too small Databas

Purchase Order Change Order -Where to use and why

Do you have experience about Purchase Order Change Order, I just took a first look on that and would like to hear for what purpose it’s used and what are the benefits to use it, or is it so that it’s created automatic when some changes made in PO, so it’s more or less like information. 3rd Party API with IFS Connect

Hi, I was hoping someone could help with setting up IFS Connect to send time registration to a 3rd party api. I have created a test custom event where new or changed time registration information is submitted to IFS. My 3rd part company has an API for create time sheet eg https://api.company.com/createtimesheet . So I need to send the API key and respective time-sheet data from IFS. I am just ensure of the routing address/application message setup part. Would appreciate some screen shots of working example if possible

Error previewing Crystal Report in IFS

Crystal report developed and executes successfully outside of IFS. Report is using a custom developed IAL as its data source (access granted to appropriate permission sets) When copy Crystal Report to server and try to preview in IFS an error is presented: Server was unable to process request. ---> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at Ifs_ReportService.GetSavedPDFReport(String FileName, String ParameterValues, String LangCode) in c:\inetpub\wwwroot\IFSCRWebSetupIFST_3\App_Code\Service.cs:line 244 --- End of inner exception stack trace --- No actions were executed. Other Crystal reports work fine which would rule out issues with the IFS Crystal Web Service. Does anyone have any suggestions to overcome this error? Thanks in advance Shaun

Connect Oracle Client 12 to Crystal Reports 2016

I’m attempting to set up Crystal Reports 2016 so I can connect to the IFS Oracle database (Apps 9). I’m using Oracle Client 12. Firstly, I have not seen anyplace where it is specified the normal tnsnames.org file location for Oracle Client 12. Everything says “ORACLE_HOME” (which I understand means whatever the home directory is not a directory literally named “ORACLE_HOME”) /network/admin. There is no network OR admin folder in the Oracle directory. To use SQL Developer, I don’t need that anyway, because I can just directly load a tnsnames.ora file. But then Crystal reports… I have googled seven ways from Sunday and cannot figure out how the heck to associate the TNS file with Crystal Reports. When I go to “Database Expert”, I have an option for “Oracle Server”, but no matter what values I use (and I know they’re the correct values b/c I can connect with them in SQL Developer), I can’t connect. No one here is very savvy at this so there is no one I can ask. Help! Thank you!

Quick Report: UNION SQL: Total SELECT join SUM() Not Working

I have a Quick Report that Groups By dollar columns, then does a UNION to total those $$$ columns. It has a join column from another table (btl.amount), keying on primary keys/columns.The challenge I’m running into is that, on the UNION SQL, I’m joining to a table to get that single $$$ column’s total (SUM(btl.amount)). Since the join is not at the detail level of each main table’s rows, it’s overstating the SUM() total $$$. (kind of hard to explain). Hi all, We have been working with IFS on this issue for several days but without success, and I am losing faith. I have asked for escalation but in the meantime, I wonder if anyone has ideas on what is going on here. Issues: If we try to Download All Packages, we see the first error We see errors 2 and 3 shown below with any Employee/Person form This issue occurs on our Live, Test and Dev instances (Live and Test/Dev are on different physical servers) We do not know exactly when the issue occurred as we do not add new employees often Attempted Fixes: Used F1Mage.exe to recreate signed application Reconfigured server Restored to backup of “instance” Uninstalled .NET update and restarted servers Deleted “C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Apps\2.0” folder Run “rundll32 dfshim CleanOnlineAppCache” on client PC Nothing works! IFS links and the new edge browser

Our company would like to be able to open IFS Enterprise Explorer links to documents or other objects, (purchase Reqs, etc) when the default windows browser is the new version of Microsoft Edge. This is Version 83.0.478.61 (Official build) (64-bit). We are running IFS10 update 6. If IFS is currently open, the links work properly but if IFS is not open, then the link starts IFS and after logging in takes you to the start page only. With the Chrome browser, we had to install the IFS chrome extension to get these links to work properly, after installing that extension when IFS Chrome is the default browser the links work all the time. Is there a similar extension for Edge? Anyone else run into this issue and come up with a fix for it?

Crystal Reports runtime dlls

Version - IFS2003 We have a user who often exports Quick Report Navigator Crystal Reports to excel using the Export icon. On his old laptop, he has the option to export to MS Excel 97-2000 whereas the new client build only has older options (Excel 5.0, Excel 7.0, Excel 8.0). 97-2000 gives better formatting of data into Excel. We know that the F1 Runtime part of a client install loads Crystal runtime components onto the client and we think we have installed something else on is old laptop in the past to give him the 97-2000 option but don’t know what. We have compared like with like and cannot see a difference. Any ideas where the dlls might be that give him the option for Excel 97-2000? Thanks in advance. Matching Supplier Invoice with PO

Hello, At the moment, if we have a PO with multiple lines, when Finance receive an invoice, they manually enter the invoice against the PO number. IFS will then auto-match that invoice against any receipted line on the PO and if there are 10 lines, there is a 1 in 10 chance of it matching the right line. When it matches the wrong line, Finance have to manually correct it, by deleting the wrong match and finding the correct one. It works well when there is only 1 line, but we have started to look at consolidating reqs into fewer orders, which will create more work, not less for finance. Ideally, we would want to enter the relevant PO Line # when the invoice is entered, so IFS knows what to match it to, but there is currently no option for that. Does anyone have any experience of this and a solution? We are using IFS Apps 8. Regards Shaun
