Entering Invoice dates - blocking/warning

Is there anyway of putting a block or warning in over invoices dates? We have had issues, usually at turn of year where an incorrect date can be entered, and it would be good if IFS could warn us that an invoice date is xx days old for example or that we are using a date in future which can cause issues also

Upload error CAMT file

Currency errors when creating project rolling forecast

IFS 9 Update 14When attempting to create a project forecast, error message is displayed about currency errors.An initial forecast was created in November but, the next attempt at end of Dec. failed with this msg.  Project Management > Budgeting and Forecasting > Analysis > Project Currency Errors   contains:

Cost Per Condition

HiIn apps 10 update 8, we want to start using Cost Per Condition for some of our parts as we e.g want to valuate refurbished part to 65% of a new part. Are there a way to do this automatically such that a certain condition “REFURBISHED” is always set relative to the standard cost? Also, preferrably the Level Cost Details are also set relative the the cost buckets of the standard cost. BR Kristian

How to add lines to a project invoice

Hi,We are using the invoicing plan to create a project invoice.We make some lines in the plan and select them.Then we use the create invoice option in the menu. Now a Preliminary invoice is created and here comes my problem:How can I add new lines to this invoice?We are on IFS 9.BR. Kresten

Transfer of purchase transaction postings

Hi,We are using IFS Apps 8.We have the following error with the scheduled job:Period 2020 - 11 is not open for user group XX in Company XXXThe period is closed as part of the month end processing.Finance have a query to look at maintenance postings analysis for those with a booking status not equal to Transferred however this issue is not seen in this screen.Where in IFS do Finance need to go to push this through without re-opening periods?Thanks in advance

"Preview" of invoice doc on Instant Authorisation

The preview screen is working but for some users it is asking the user “Do you want to open or save this file”, but others it just automatically shows the pdf in the preview screen. How do you change this so it doesn’t prompt you to open or save the file before previewing the pdf file?Thank you

Sending Automatic Invoice E-mails

We have some customers which are failing when we try to send automatic e-mails for invoices. Our internal IT dept suggest that error is on customer side, customer is advising they can’t see an issue. Is there anything in our IFS set up that could be causing this? Example of error below:

APPS9 - Emailing customer invoices is sending the PR (Preliminary Invoice) as well as the final invoice

Any ideas how this could happen?Normally we run a print/email and this performs following stepsTakes the Prelim Invoice and creates a Final invoice Final invoice is then emailed to the customer where email address is present It would seem, somehow the email has sent the prelim invoice rather than the final.Any ideas how I can stop this happening?

Does IFS support RCTI functionality?

Since recently one of our major customers, have started raising RCTIs and we need to match them with the project invoices we raise in IFS. So far I could not find a functionality in IFS that caters to Recipient Created Tax Invoicing (RCTI). Am I missing something? If it’s currently not available in IFS, is it something that would be considered in the future? Have there been any requests from other customers to have RCTI functionality or anyone here in the forum having such requirement?TIA

System automatically creating Cancelled Vouchers

Hi All, We had a recent issue where erroneous postings were resulted in Distribution and Manufacturing Postings Analysis, as the relevant accounts had Code Part B as mandatory (which didn’t flow through in this case), . And it seemed that the system had created empty vouchers in Cancelled state for these every time  ‘Transfer Purchase Transactions’ was run (it’s a scheduled task).  I found in the Help for Voucher Entry the following “Vouchers with Cancelled status are automatically created when a voucher transfer from IFS Distribution contains a voucher where all included voucher rows were returned to IFS Distribution due to errors. “ Has anyone come across such scenario? Does anyone know the actual purpose of the cancelled voucher creation that’s actually empty? TIA

Extrenal payment load file Error. There is no record type 1_HEAD in the file

Looking at process for non-PO invoices and the instant authorization approval Is there anyway to have specific suppliers set up with default acknowledger/authorizer or does this have to be entered each time you register an invoice?

2 SX invoices with samen number in the system

Hi All,We've got a situation at a customer of us.They have import 2 external invoices. One in June this and one recently.It are 2 different suppliers. Both have send a invoice with the same number,When we serach now for a manual supplier invoce we see the following: The re is no invoice series defined for invoices of Type SX Is this a normal behavoir of IFS? Posting Controls (New company setup) Best Practices

Is there any documentation on best practices for Posting Controls setup? We’re looking to have a better process for setting up posting controls when a new company is setup. Is there an easy way to copy them over from another company in mass? How do others handle this? Adding them on the fly as accounting runs into errors is not working. Surely there is a better/easier way?
