Hello IFS Experts, hoping someone out there has an solutionWe use demand planning and we forecast many of our purchased finished goods items and majority of these are offshore with lead times of 6-8 weeks transit time.We register arrival once container is on ship in transit to designate ownership of goods.When we receive this into arrival into non--nettable location, it shows up for Master Scheduling as available on the date of we did the receipt into arrival location. This is a flow in IFS and was fixed for Cloud Version update, but IFS will not update for APPS10. This is causing inaccurate MS proposals and we need the system to have accurate date of receipt for Master Scheduling to generate correct purchase requisitions. Is there anyone else experiencing this issue and have a good solution?

Hello IFS Experts, Hoping to hear some ideas or solutions to an issue we are having!Currently for our offshore PO shipments, when we are notified of this shipment, we receive into arrival into a non-nettable location. By doing this it allows finance to have a payable and trace ownership of our in-transit materials through GL. Once the material is physically received, we then move the material from that receipt to arrival non-nettable location into a nettable picking location. This was the recommended way from IFS during our implementation 2 years ago. We would like a solution to not have to receive in material that is not physically received because we may need to change the Incoming Dispatch Advice/PO Lines if we find any updates or corrections are needed for the shipment ID #, quantity, or price, or most often the needed to change is the arrival date. Once received the system, it does not allow changes, which this makes sense because it has been received into the system. Does anyone
Hello IFS Experts, hoping someone can provide a recommendation.We have international containers that come in that contain multiple po lines from various POs. When we receive updates on changes in planned arrival dates, we want to mass update all po lines across all purchase orders using one mass change. We understand that you cannot mass update using PO Lines, which would be ideal, but this is not standard IFS functionality. It is very time consuming when we have to update potentially 50+ various lines across many purchase orders.Does anyone have ways which they have found to do this even if through a customization?
We would like to know if anyone uses any additional software to enhance IFS capabilities to track inbound shipments. The majority of our Distribution part of the business is 90%+ international. Many of our purchase orders consist of 20-50 lines that may ship multiple dates and methods, some may even need to change to a direct ship to the customer. We are looking to improve the following:The ability to have a PO “Planned and/or Confirmed SHIP date” for tracking our inbound offshore shipments. We realize there is a Incoming Dispatch Advice for po ship dates, tracking details and ship vias, but we want to be able to see all the information in one place on the PO. We need better visibility of what is in transit. Splitting lines: A very large portion of the shipments end up shipping partial and we want a better method to split the shipments. Hello IFS Community,We are trying to run a cycle count report and we want to remove all of the locations with a zero quantity. Once an item attaches to a location, it stays with the item and will come out on the count report. We want to remove these items from the count report. For example, we have 6,000 lines to count only but only 1,000 items with actual quantities in locations.Thank you
Hello IFS Community, We just went live on APPs 10 Nov 1 2021. Prior to IFS, our ERP had our boiler plate terms and conditions attached to each purchase order when emailed to the suppliers. We have since lost that capability in IFS.What do other IFS users do to ensure that their suppliers have their standard terms and conditions? Our preferred is that they go with every purchase order, but if that is not possible, what is the best practice solution that others are using?Thank you!
IFS Community,We are finding the auto-reservations is not reserving materials to the CO Lines in order by the Planned ship date. What is the field used to determine what is reserved first and is there a setting we can change to ensure the auto-reservations is using the Customer Order Line Planned Ship Date?
Hello IFS Community,We went live Nov 1, 2021. Are there tools within IFSAPP10 that provide safety stock analysis tools. We had to run an extremely long process of pulling our old history from our old legacy system Infor XA and combining with new history within IFS and pull together into our old multi linked spreadsheet format to review, analyze and determine new safety stocks. We would like direction on where to go within IFS and possibly some links to help so we can begin to research. We did upload our sales history to utilize for Demand Planning is there a way we can use that until 11/1/2023.
Hello IFS Community,We are having issues that when we update our External Customer Orders for Cancellations, Quantity and/or Planned Delivery Date changes, that if there is a pick list printed, reservations on items or a shop order started on a pegged Shop Order, t allows the Customer Service to make these changes without any error or notifications. It does push messages to the Incoming Change Request for Customer Orders, but we have many changes and this message queue is very labor intensive. A question is are we using best practice to make these changes to the External CO? Or should we be changing the Internal CO? If we change the Internal CO, will it provide an error message to the Customer Service team and/or once that changes are made, will it update upstream to the Internal PO and Internal CO?
Hello IFS CommunityOur current Supply Chain Matrix Route ID is set up for shipments to go out on Fridays.We have Good Friday 4/15 as a holiday, so we want to move our product on Thursday. Does anyone have standard processes they put in place for holidays?Should we just change the Route ID temporarily from Friday to Thursday this week and change back directly after holiday is over? Unsure if it will impact the next schedules for future weeks. We of course will need to do some testing.Thank you!

Customer Address changes do not update existing customer orders. We have to cancel and re-enter the customer orders. Even if the order and shipment are updated, it causes issues with labeling and the address will be incorrect on re-assigned shipmentsHow can we overcome this issues
Under the column Calendar days, the help states “This column shows the number of working days per planning period.” The system is using this number to plan New Operations Plan/Calendar=Operations Plan Daily Rate. So I we have a new plan for 60,000 and the calendar days is 20, 60,000/20=3,000. But this is accurate since this month may have holidays or shutdowns. Hello IFS Community,When entering a customer order sooner than expected lead time, the order will not allow you save the order unless we take the availability check off the inventory part and recheck after customer order saved. Does anyone experience this and how can we better use the system to allow us to enter customer order lines sooner than the inventory parts expected lead time?Thank you, Michelle
IPAP=Inventory Part Availability Planning There is currently a field that shows "demand" against any part in the system within the IPAP and IPAPs windows. Unfortunately this includes forecasted demand on top of ACTUAL demand. How can you see just actual, so we know exactly what is required for only the ACTUAL Customer Order, Shop Order, Purchase Order demand?
Hello IFS Community, We have a multi-site structure and frequently have customers who need to change their Ship Via at time of order placement. In most cases, the requested Ship Via is a secondary selection in their Supply Chain Matrix. While we are able to adjust the Ship Via on the demand site order, once the order flow to the supply site and the shipment is created, it has picked up the default Ship Via from the customer’s supply chain matrix. Is there a means to prevent this from occurring? Example: The actual ship via changes back form AIR to OCEAN which will cause HUGE delays of up to 8 weeks
Can the system be setup to create return shipments for RMAs with pro #s so information regarding the material's return can be seen
