Is there a way to skip a line and go on to the next location/item on the pick list?

Hello IFS Community,

When picking, is there a way to skip a line and go on to the next location/item.   If so, would/could WADACO send us back to the item at the end of the scan?

There are times it may require us to pick out of order

  1. Other pickers may be in isle and need to move around until they are done in that area
  2. Inventory discrepancy and cannot pick that item because it is either not there or in wrong location and research to be done first

Hi,

Without being a functional expert in this area, I would guess it would be easiest to do that by enabled the pick by choice functionality on Site, then the process will allow you to pick something else.

Or if you configure the process so that the unique_line_id is not set to Auto-Pick LOV, then you could choose another line yourself, but then you have to choose every line manually, or if you have part_no before unique_line_id you could override in which order the system will suggest you pick the lines, or something similar with location.

Its the Auto-Pick setting on unique_line_id that will make the system give you an certain order (if there is route order setup it will follow that other ways it will be in pick list line “order”.
