User receiving the error ‘You are not allowed to change this schedule XXXX, since it was not scheduled by you’.
Is there any way (without a modification) to stop the ‘Arrival Date’ on the Manual Supplier Invoice having a default (sysdate) value? i.e. goal is to make it a mandatory field with no value, to ensure Accounts always enter a value. Apps9 Upd16
I’ve used the Person ID of our payroll officer to grant them access to employees outside their employing company, to be able to authorize time and transfer to our payroll software. i.e. employee in Company ABC, but needs to authorize time in Company XYZ. Similar to this topic : The user is able to view the time registration/employee in the Authorization screeen, but is receiving an error message ‘Access Denied. You cannot authorize records within Time Pers Diary logical unit’ after attempting to authorize. Any ideas what is missing?
I want to set up a separate email event action to email remittance advices to supplier, on a company level. i.e. 1 default event action & a second email event action when it is a payment made by company ABC. Can this be done via the Event Action or does something need to be set up in Report Rules?
We’ve had this issue for years now, with no solution. BA Report displays dates in correction Australian format when run via BA Excel Add-In. However, when report is schedule or run from IFS application any date references on the report revert to US Format. E.g. if there is a header in the report referencing the date the report is run or the date entered in a parameter it will show 9th June 2023 as 6/9/23 instead of Australian format of 9/6/23. Just wondering if anyone has resolved this?
We have recently started having issues opening excel files saved on to the server, which are based on a IFS BA Report. (See error message attached).> If we save the file onto our PC’s desktop, we’re able to open it.> Only affecting users on Windows 11 (and only recently), Windows 10 users can open the file> If IFS BA Add-in is uninstalled completely, the file can be opened
Has anyone had issues when Final Posting an invoice via Posting Proposal screen and ‘use as voucher date’ setting is ‘Use Preliminary Voucher Date’ - it says it has posted with the preliminary voucher date, but when you check the actual voucher it has used today’s date? This doesn’t seem to be an issue with the same setting applied via the ‘Final Posting Proposals overview screen. (On Apps 9, UPD 17)
I want to set up an event to automatically add an Approval template every time a Budget is created on a Work Order.I have an event I’ve used before, but looking at the key reference, I have two questions: Approval template links to the individual cost type, rather than the Work Order Budget total - is there a way to change this?If answer to above is approval can only be linked to cost type - WORKORDERBUDGET when selected in an event is missing the ‘WORK_ORDER_BUDGET_COST_TYPE_DB’ field which is used in the key reference - what is the best way to get this into the event - is there a SQL expression that can be added?i.e. Key Reference for approval template is - WO_NO=20287^WORK_ORDER_COST_TYPE_DB=E:
Is Project Access the only way to restrict visibility/access to all projects regardless of company they belong to? i.e. User is employed by Company 123, and only has access to Company 123 in permission sets, but can currently see projects for Company 123 & Company 456. Is there a way to set up Project Teams, without having to specify which projects are included/excluded - i.e. at a company level?
What is the trigger for the application defined events ‘NOTIFY_UNCONFIRMED_DAYS and NOTIFY_UNAUTHORIZED_DAYS? i.e. when you create an event action from these to email the supervisor, at what point should the event be firing?
Does anyone have any general information re Project Invoice. We have a project which will have numerous transactions to be billed, but it is not connected to a Sales Contract, so Application for Payment>Project Invoice will not be used.Previously we’ve just used Instant Invoices to raise invoices against ad-hoc projects, but wondering if there is a better way to manage this using the Project Invoice function? ‘Create Project Invoice’ only seems to pick up project transactions, not external costs?
What is the best way to prevent intercompany transactions being processed between particular companies? i.e. if we don’t want Company ABC to have AP invoices coded directly to Company XYZ, how can we best prevent this, if user has access to both companies? i.e. we want Company XYZ costs to be coded to a project and then billed, not entered directly to their accounts.
Measurements for Object Meter Change IssueA serial object had an incorrect meter value entered using the change meter function - now the total value is too high and everything we try to fix it, just keeps increasing the value more/won’t register as a valid transaction. We need to reduce the accumulated value - should be total value of 7046. It doesn’t let you go back and mark meter readings as incorrect when there is a meter change out after it.
Is there any quicker method to cancel/close Purchase Order Receipts which have been partially invoiced? i.e. PO Receipt for 10 units, Invoice matched for 8 units, 2 units remaining unmatched on receipt/GRNI report. If the PO Receipt is not matched to an invoice , it is a simple RMB ‘Cancel Receipt’. However, once it is matched partially this option isn’t available and it becomes a more involved process. We currently use the ‘Register Inspection Results/Return for Rework’ - it closes the receipt and clears the GRNI balance, but it is a bit involved, i.e. not a quick right mouse click like the full cancellation.The only other options I’m aware of are:> Dummy zero value AP invoice>Close date on receipt - but this requires a manual voucher or the GRNI report/GL will not balance. Just wanted to check if there is anything we’re missing to speed up the process of tidying up partially matched receipts/GRNI report/GL? NOTE: we’re on Apps9
Is there a way to limit a particular user’s access to only nominated project/s in IFS? I know there is Project Access setting on Projects - but from my understanding, this works in reverse - i.e. it is more related to limiting specific projects to a defined group of users. We don’t currently use Project Access - i.e. all projects are accessible by any user that has Project Management permission set. It appears switching it on would involve a lot of maintenance, as we’d have to list all users as having access to all projects, whereas we just want to exclude one user from having access to all but specified project/s? IAny thoughts?
I’ve created a lobby element which shows upcoming leave for senior management - this is for use by our Project Management department. As Senior Managers are across various org units, I’ve had to grant Project Managers access to departments via Graphical Org Structure and to relevant Positions via Position Access Setup. This means, they can see senior managers’ time registration/absences. Is there a way to grant access just to the lobby data source, without having to touch HR org/position access? i.e. so they are only able to see these absences via the lobby element?
I have a lobby element which uses year period as a parameter, is there a way to have the description show in the title, rather than just the year period. e.g. if I enter ($YEAR_PERIOD$) in the title, it correctly shows 2020-07, but I’d like it to show January 2020. Is there a way to use a SQL query in the title?
