IFS10: what is the equivalent of "Route PM Actions" that was in IFS8

Hi Maria, Kindly find below information in addition to the answer provided above. From Apps 10 there will be just one way of handling work orders, that earlier was divided in Separate Work Orders and Route Work Orders.By that there is no need for both Separate and Route PM Actions and both types have now been merged into one common PM Action template.All this is done to align with the new Work Task functionality. This introduced several ways to group PM Actions together into same Work Order. PM Group - Can either be used on it’s own or together with Merge. Merge - Can only be used together with PM Group. PM Grouping Rules – Can only be used on it’s own. PM Group:First concept to generate and group more than one PM Action into same Work Order.All Work List lines from the PM Action(s) will become Work Tasks on the Work Order that is generated.PM Grouping will be used as a replacement for the route handling on both PM Action and Work Order side.Can be seen as a replacement for the route

How to "Include in fixed line" on Service Quotation?

Can we configure the pop-up information in the resource monitoring gantt?

Hi Robert,Yes, I’m ok with having a meeting with you, but kinldy note that confgurations are not handled by support team. For that, you will need to check with the consulting organization. However, if any information needed, let me know. Hi Robert, Actually I also tested in IFS Cloud 21R2 core version, so the 2 environments should be quite similar. Is it possible for you to send a support case so that this can be investigated further, on why the 100 % allocation bar is not displayed in customer environment ? Also if no settings are currently available, we can send your suggestion to Product deevelopment team via the support case. Project Allocation within Resource Monitoring Gantt

Hi Robert,Apologies for the delay in responding. Yes, I managed to create project allocations as below.Envronment: Support / IFSCLOUD / 21R2 Core / REGIONAL TEST CMB Employee allocation created:Resource monitoring gantt: Observation:If the allocation percentage is 100% or higher, the allocation is dispalyed in the gantt.If the allocation percentage is less than 100%, the allocation is not dispalyed in the gantt. Therefore is seems the reason for the reported behaviour is, partial allocations are not dispalyed in the gantt.Hope this clarifies your query. I suggest to send a case to support team, so that we can further investigate in this. Best Regards,Thilini

Service Quotation in Accepted Cannot be Revised

Hi Bridget, I did some knowledge search regarding this topic and came across below information. This explanation confirms what you have mentioned about the primary issue - not being able to revise an accepted quotation. Explanation: First, the service quotation in App10 does not reflect the exact Work order quotation in Apps8. RnD has developed it to support broader requirements. To explain it a bit more, quotation in App10 has the ability of defining quotation rules on your work scope (Work order) and once the quotation is Accepted those rules will be applied throughout the work order invoicing process. For example, - If the rule is set as Fixed Quoted Price then the work order invoices a Fixed quoted price regardless of what you consumed- If the rule is set as Estimate then quoted price is given based on the planning lines and the work order will be invoiced based on what you consumed. - Then it is also possible to apply an invoice rule for the quoted price and inv

Hi Robert, Can you try below steps ? 1.) Create a “Project” with “Sub Project” and “Activity”.2.) Then from “Resources” tab create an “Employee Allocation”3.) Then go to the “Resource Monitoring Gantt” and query by entering values for below parameters.• Resource Type – Person• Display Days• From/To - Enter the date period.• Site• Resource group• Resource ID4.) “Yellow” bar will be dispalyed. Also, you may try below setting as well.To display details relevant to Project & Human Resources in resource monitoring Gantt, users need to enable the DISPWAGE property code for the company. This setting enables displays of wage code ID and description in Gantt. To enable this, 1.) Navigate to “Company Details” -> search for your company 2.) Go to the “Property” tab add “DISPWAGE” then set Property value to “TRUE”. This enables display details relevant to Project & HR in Resource Monitoring Gantt. Best Regards,Thilini

Hi, Please check whether below information is helpful or whether more information is needed. General information related to work order can be found in work order page. In the work task tab, you can see the tasks that need to be fulfilled to execute the work mentioned in the work order.Please refer other tabs as well which contains planning information / templated connected etc. In the work task page, you can find al the information related to the work task. Benchmarking details related to Document Management Replication

Received answer: With the 2gb default maximum heap space allocated for the application server you can replicate up to 100mb file size. However, if you are replicating more than 100mb size file it is RnD recommendation to increase the maximum memory size into 4gb.

Online Approval of Invoice Approval

Hi Curtis, Please check below setting in the Site window. Check box “Approve Invoice Online”This will enable the option to "Approve Online" or "Approve Offline" on the invoice preview page. If this check box is selected, the customer order will be created online from the invoice preview. If not selected it will instead create a background job.Open Application Base Setup\Enterprise\Site\Site. Query for the relevant site. Unser Extended Site Info > Maintenance Tab, select check box “Approve Invoice Online”. Let me know whether this solves the issue. Best Regards,Thilini

Work order description is not updated automatically when work order is generated from PM action

Hi Dinith, With the new task management concept introduced in Apps10, the work is driven by the work tasks instead of the work order. Hence, the PM Action/Work description is not transferred to Work Order/Work Description. Instead, the “Work Description” details entered by the user on the PM Action (from the Prepare tab) are copied over to the “Long Description” field of the Work Order > Work Task. Can you check whether Work task > Long description field contains the needed data ? Best Regards,Thilini

Transport task - Work Order IFS Apps 10

Hi Jeff, To create a transport task for the work order,In Material tab, select the material line and reserve the needed quantity. Then in the material order header, RMB Move all reservations. Enter the new location and click ok. Now a transport task is created. You can navigate to the created transport task using RMB option Transport task lines. Thanks and Best Regards,Thilini

Hi Enzo, You are most welcome.Kinldy find below clarification. Here adding person ID * will not grant all users with access to that document class.Either you have to create a person group like below and add it to the access template OR Enter person ID s directly.And I do not think it will be possible to give view access to users only if that particular document is connected to Purchase order. Hi Enzo, For this purpose you can use access templates. Open Document Management\Basic Data\Document Basic. Open Access template tab. Here select the document class you need. Enter either person IDs of each user, or you can group all users in a person group (in person groups tab) and enter that person group here. Select View access only. Kinldy note that this will give the users view access for new documents created for the document class but not for existing ones.If you need to give access for existing documents as well, you can use a person group that is already connected to this document class (not a new person group) and then add the users to that person group. Transport task - Work Order IFS Apps 10

Hi Jeff, If you need to get material from a different site, you can directly use material orders for that.Let me know if this addresses your issue. For example: Work order in site A but need material from Site B. Create the work order in Site A. Create a work task as well and release it. Create a material order in Materials tab where the Req. Site is Site B (However here both sites should be within same company) Enter a material line , release the material order and you can reserve and issue parts from site B. Best Regards,Thilini

IFS Outlook Add-in - Could not find local file

Hi,Please check whether below information helps.The addi-n use a local check out path just like the client. In Outlook select the IFS Applications tab. Open the Settings. There you will see the local check out path. From the description of the problem the local check out patch could be wrong.
