Customer price list per price group

In the customer window price list per price group tab, it is possible to add several price lists in different currencies. And if the Preferred Price List tick box is selected, it says the ticked price list would always be fetched into the Customer Order Line. But it was noted in some scenarios even though a preferred price list tick box is selected COL picks up a different price list. What is the reason behind this?

Non consumed items with the quantities in APP9

A quick functional question related to DOP which I encountered with one of the customers. [b][i][u]Questions:[/u][/i][/b] In APP9 DOP orders have the non-consumed items with the quantities. More specifically, unlike in APP8, when we bring in DOP structures in APP9, the structures come in with quantity for all non-consumed components. Like your advice and view point on this regards.

New History Tab in Shop Order

The customer is upgrading to APP9 and they are asking about the new History tab on the Shop Order. There is now an Order History tab and a Material History tab. I believe the Material History information was always available but now it is included under a History tab with Order History information. The customer wants to know that when they are tracking this Order History, how long will this information be available? Is this working with History Logging where they can have this automatically cleaned up based on the setup for History Logging or is this Order History on the Shop Order independent of that? The customer is also asking what is the impact that this additional history logging could have on our system.

Reporting Intrastat for Non-Inventory Purchase Parts in App 7.5

In App 7.5, there is no way of reporting Intrastat for Non Inventory Parts and No Parts in purchasing (importing) them. How can we fix this?

Reciving PO Lines from the Supplier Invoice

We have service providers and services will be ordered by raising a Purchase Orderto the Service provider, But we do not get the service physicaly, instead our engineers will get the service from service stations and invoice will be issued at the time of delivering the service. Then our engineers submit the invoice to the Accounts department and get the claim in cash. Question: We have a need to match the invoice at the time of claim is submitted to the Accounts section rather than going to Purchasing department and receiving the Purchase order and then matching the invoice in Accounts devision.

Missing code part checkbox in Project Resource Forecast

When entering a Resource into a Project Resource Forecast, a warning is given that the Project Cost Revenue Element (PCRE) is mandatory. After ignoring the warning, looking at the Cost Element shows the PCRE has an entry. However, the checkbox for missing Code Part remains which prevents further processing.

Cannot delete lines from Revised Sales Quotations

Create a Sales quotation. Release it. Print the quotation. Then alter a line and save. Status of the quotation will be “Revised”. Try to delete a line of the quotation and you will see delete option is not available. It could only be cancelled. It seems sales quotation line could be deleted only in “Planned” status. Sometimes, on revisions, there may be many lines that need to be removed, not cancelled. It is difficult for the users to manage the screens when these lines are still visible. It is difficult to identify quickly which lines are active.

Advanced Planning Board installation issue.

I have installed a delivery for an issue relate to Advanced Planning Board. I have manually copied the necessary .dll files and SchedServ.exe to the runtime folder. When trying to launch APB from IFS Application I get an error and it does not load. This was working before the delivery installation. What can I do to fix this issue?

Voucher For Transfer of MCPR Project Transactions

In App10, Customers face with an issue of no vouchers being created after running "Transfer Project Multicompany Reporting" which should transfer Time and Project Transactions. Even though the transactions were approved, vouchers still weren't created. Please verify.

"Customer Owned" parts in Purchase requisition when order code =1

All purchase requisitions allow only Company Owned and Company Rental Asset ownership types, except when created by a process that supports additional types of ownership (such as from IFS/Project or IFS/Project Delivery). Why is ownership "Customer Owned" not available for Purchase requisition lines when Order Code is ‘1- NORMAL’?

BAES is not working properly.

[i]One of the customers has faced an issue in BAES. The BAES is hanged due to an error in excel. Background jobs are in Externally executing state since the reports are not getting processed by BAES. There is a huge queue of ordered reports and BAES now can not handle that much of a load even the excel issue is sorted. This is in Apps8 Environment.[/i]

Supplier material on a purchase order

The following question was raised by a customer: The customer would like to know if there is a way to include supplier material on a purchase order for an outside service. The customer encounters a scenario where another inventory part will need to be send to a supplier during an outside service (i.e. Heat treating). The customer would like to use supplier material for this, since it will never be charged to the supplier. When I attempt to make a product structure for the purchase part, I am unable to create the record for because there is no revision no (assuming this is because the outside service part is WIP and not inventory.) Is there any way to accomplish this?

One of my customers are encountering the following issue. Would like your advice and feedback on the below issue. Use of QA trigger for production scheduled parts We are using IFS Production Schedules and would like to create QA control plans systematically for the QA analysis. IFS Control plans do not work for IFS production scheduled parts. Question: How can we create automatic creation of QA control plans for QA with using IFS Production schedules for the manufacturing process? Error Message: Sample Frequency trippers cannot be used for production schedule parts Test plan 1. Create a manufactured part that will be produced by a production schedule 2. updating project posting types in App10 RTM

I received a question by an IFS conultant regarding upgrade scripts of updating project posting types in App10 RTM. The question is ; We advise customers that ‘PRE’ scripts do not change data, and it is safe to run in current production versions of IFS when we do upgrades. But it seems that ‘PRE_PRJREP_APP10_UpdateProjectPostingTypes.sql’ changes data in the database. Could you please advise the reason that data changes in ‘PRE_PRJREP_APP10_UpdateProjectPostingTypes.sql’ are built into a ‘PRE’ script than a ‘POST’ script? In addition, can we guarantee that this will not interfere with the existing production versions’ functionality?

PO Authorization is triggered again for all POs when receiving which are already released, irrespective of the date of which the Auth rule is created. How to set an effective date for PO Authorization rules (APP9)? This make users having to authorize old POs again when they receive them even though the Auth rule is intended to authorize future POs.

In App 9 IFS copy item (F6) in Engineering parts browser does not copy the IFS number and leave some objects blank. The F6 function works well in the Parts browser but not in the Engineering browser.

Saving multiple line items to a template

One of my customer is trying to create a default Project Role assignment and expected to save these roles as a template in APP10. However, customer doesn't have the option to do that. but It does have the option to save as a template when trying to save a single line. However, customer cannot add other lines to that template and have to create a new template for each line. Is there a way customer can save all these lines to the same template?

Problem with the blank table - Posting Control

One of the customers that am working on encountered the following scenario: Background: When adding a new line on the Posting Control Details Specification Screen, the Work Center For Routing List Of Values dialogue is blank. When clicking Populate, and error appears "missing expression: Failed executing query (ORA-00936: missing expression)". If the work center is manually typed in, the rest of the data related to the work center will appear. It is only not available in the LOV. Steps to recreate scenario: 1. Go to “Posting Control” and Search for M209 RMB on M209 for Dept and click “Details” 2. In the Details window, click on Indirect Job per Site 200|120 which uses C47 for the Specification Control Type. Select “Details Specification”. 3. In the Details Specification window, create a new line (+ or F5). 4. Use the List of Values to obtain a Work Center value - a blank table opens! 5.
