Task Notes showing html code kind of thing like   when note is added from mobile and web

There is an issue that Task Notes showing html code kind of thing like when note is added from mobile and web client. Further analysis revealed HTML conversion is not handled in the mobile after encoded from the web client. This is the reason why it shows the html tags in the mobile task notes. Same issue in web client. Has this bug been handled in FSM 6 UPD8/9?Also, as a workaround is there a way users can turn off HTML on the mobile and web client so they can only put in text?

Aurena - DMZ option for web access?

We’re planning to expose Aurena to the web and will be routing it via our reverse proxy as per official documentation, however is there a way to host the Aurena web client/component in our DMZ? Current set up is: Client > reverse proxy > Aurena/MWS > DB Preferred set up is: Client > reverse proxy > Aurena DMZ > MWS > DB That way if Aurena was compromised, only Aurena itself is, rather than our whole middleware/application layer.

Price list implementation

We have decided to implement price lists function in IFS. Just wondering if there is a document that lists some best practices to be followed and some do’s and don’ts. Currently we use product family and product group 1 to categorize the products.Engineering/PDM..product number, product type is not used.I am providing this additional information that may or may not be of help to group the products and develop some hierarchy for search, sort down the road.

JTTask object type in Document Access

Hi After upgrading to APPS 10, we see that some document revisions have a new set of access lines with object Type = JTTask. I understand that this relates to Work Tasks and that the document is attached to a work task. However, I am not sure what this access lines does EXACTLY and which users will be granted access to the document based on that access line: BR Kristian

How to fetch files for a dynamic list of documents

Hello everyone, I am new here and hope to get some help on my issue i need to download files for a dynamic list of docs + specific revision mentioned in that list. all in one go. can you please guide me how to do so? what is important here is to perform this job inside IFS and not using any other 3rd party Excel macros and such. BTW ( using IFS 8 )

Use of pictures in reporting

We use Tableau for IFS reporting and are looking to leverage the use of photos taken in the field to records and display damages to property.We want to setup a repository to store these pictures and I see during configurations of IFS you can change the document file directory. Is it possible to point this file directory to a network resource? if so, can photos taken and uploaded from the mobile eform be saved in the same document file directory?Anyone have experience setting this up?We are using APPS9 UD14 with mobile work orders and eforms.Thank you

Custom Menu conditions in Approvals window

Hi, I have created a custom menu to be used on the document approval steps, both in Document Revision window and Approvals window. The customer only wants this menu option to be displayed when certain document classes is used. I see there is a field for “Object Key” in the Custom Menu Condition Manager (see picture). Can I use this to set a condition for document class(es)? If so, can anyone explain me how to? :) BR, Susanne

Change Document Repository Path

In the LU: EDM Basic - Repositories we are not able to change the values in the Path field. We wish to change where we store the documents in our PROD database. But when we copy PROD to TEST, we want to be able to change them in TEST so that our TEST writes to the PROD files. Also trying to do this calling the EDM_LOCATION_API.Modify() does not work. It says that the field can not be modified.Is there any possible way to achieve this and if so, what kind of impact if would have on uploaded files?I hope somebody can give us a word of advise on this matter.Your help is much appreciated.

Conditional Fields not working in APP9 Environment

Hi All,Condition Fields are used to add rules that control what data that can be entered in a page; rules to make fields mandatory or read only, and rules that filter drop down lists, depending on values of other fields.Conditional Fields is not working in our APP9 Environment, We have tried on different IFS windows but receive errorsView[ Form Name ] is not found in dictionaryI have refreshed the Dictionary Cache using the IFS Refresh Cache area. I have allowed port access in the firewall, but I can only access the IFS home page in the external network environment; DNS cannot be accessed when I continue to access the function module in the home page

FSM Mobile (Android) will not initialise (database not found)

Our FSM FSM6 mobile app will not initialise after the user successfully logs in to the mobile app. The device initialisation goes in to a loop and the logcat suggests that it can’t find the mobile database to download and looking on the Mobile Web server the ‘download’ folder is empty. Can someone please advise which config files the configuration for this is detailed?Many thanks in advance.Angelo

State Language Problem - Background Job

Hello,When we create a background job with using “Create Order Proposal” or anything like that.And when we execute that job manually, language of states are changing to English, even if language was chosen Turkish while login. (see in the attachments)State fields are turning Turkish again after a while.Could anyone help how to prevent that please ?Regards.

Campaigns for Discounts

Good Morning, We are looking into using a Campaign to manage customer discounts. We have over 1000 customers and some of them get offered a 2% discount off our entire product range between certain dates of the year.We have set the campaign to a customer and applied the to and from dates along with the discount however it seems we have to list every item in a range in the Buy field? Is this a way around this so the discount will be put against the customer for the time frame against every customer order raised for them regardless of the sales part?

User security issue with ScanIt app on barcode handhelds

We have run into a security issue when testing barcode scanning with our Zebra MC93 Android-based Scan Guns. These need to use the Scan It mobile app for Apps10. Wondering if anyone else has seen or resolved the same issue? We have configured the touch apps server to use AD Authentication as required for using the Android apps. The issue we have is multiple users use the scanner devices in the warehouses. This creates several problems:Each user when using one of the scanners for the first time needs to create an account in the Account Manager app. This requires the System ID and the full path to the touch apps server to be entered. Once these profiles are setup (after being directed to our One Login page and entering their AD account and password) the username and password seem to be stored in perpetuity – there is no option on the handheld ScanIt app for users to logout, and no requirement to ever login again. This means anyone can transact under any profile that has been saved on
