With regard to the file that IFS creates for payroll transfer, I have the following questions.How regularly can the transfers be created from IFS to be imported into the payroll system? Is there a size limit on the .dat file created? Is it possible for the system to generate a file name automatically and sequentially?TIA
We have a new project admin who is granted the same permissions as the other project admins and have Business Reporter installed on their laptop.When running a report through Business Reporter, it’s fetched correctly with no issue. However when it’s run from IFS it loads just the following. This works fine for everyone else and only just this one person is having this issue. The reports we are trying to run are not new ones and have been used by other admins for long time now.IFS version - Apps 10 UPD 10 IEEHas anyone experienced anything similar? We are a project based company who utilizes sales contracts and projects in IFS heavily. Our projects deliver labor related services. We are now in the process of considering CRM functionality for potential customers and business opportunity management. In CRM, the flow is very smooth from business opportunity to sales quotation to customer orders. However since we are not dealing with sales parts but services, I’m wondering if IFS CRM has considered such business opportunities being converted to sales contracts etc. Is this a functionality that exists or considered for future development?
I would like to know the rationale behind not enabling creation of purchase orders for One-time suppliers in IFS.We want to procure either product or service as a “one-off” with no expectations of using that supplier again. The objective would be to benefit from the control offered by use of a PO (with physical products “receipted” to the warehouse), but without all the Supplier record data housekeeping effort. Is there any way this can be done in IFS?TIA
In connecting a sales contract to a project, Add Project Activities to Contract Line Item functionality, one prerequisite is that Only activities that have not already been connected to a line item within that contract can be addedIs there a specific reason for this? Can’t it be done the same way that more than one activities can be connected to an item by giving each a weight? TIA
We are in need of migrating employee clocking information from a client’s system to IFS. I’m trying to set up migration jobs to get the data into TIMREP_TRANSACTION. However I seem to have an issue getting the time stamp info due to the data format. In the view and the DB table, Time stamp (REG_STAMP) is of DATE type. To have the date and time in that format I had to use custom option in format cells in Excel. When I do that, I have to have the corresponding field in the migration job to get the data into the intermediate table as VARCHAR2. I tried DATE format but then the data cannot be loaded due to a format error.But then I get the following error, when I try the second migration job I’ve set up to get the data from the intermediate table to the actual database table.The source data migration job has the field as DATE type. Clearly I need some sort of data conversion in between. But I’m struggling as I cannot figure out how to do it. I would really appreciate it if anyone has some
When a report in the Report Archive of one user is forwarded to the report archive of another user / distribution list, the recipients get the following email from the system automatically. Our users find this email to be very confusing as they do not understand the text in it. In my opinion it’s too ‘technical’. We want this turned off. I checked to see if it was an email event / custom event set up but couldn’t find such. Does anyone know where I can find it and how to turn it off?TIA!
We have very recently installed Apps10 UPD10 and in the testing phase. We are very keen on moving to Aurena client. However there are a few limitations in the configurations that prevent us from doing so when it comes to some of our crucial processes. We understand that Aurena is a different platform so although we have configured and grown accustomed to a certain flow in IEE, that may not necessarily be the best way to handle something in Aurena. We are open to new ways of doing things, as long as we are able to perform things and access business critical information easily and efficiently. So I thought it would be good to share the limitations we are experiencing (the ones where I could not see any workarounds or other ways of doing them in Aurena), with the hope that, this will serve as constructive feedback to IFS, hopefully catalyst to enhancements and also other customers/partners who have faced and handled similar issues can share their thoughts and ideas. We have an organization position that’s used in a matrix organization structure for two companies which is not used. There are no employees assigned to this position.When trying to delete it, the error ‘The Company Position ":P1" is used by another object/s.’ is displayed and when checking the business logic, I can see that there is a record in business_unit_relation_tab which is preventing the deletion and popping up of the said error.I’m struggling to remove this from the application as I can’t find a window from where to access business_unit_relation_tab record. Is there any documentation on how to delete an unnecessary organization position? Or someone who has done this before? I couldn’t find anything relevant in the F1 Help.TIA
Since recently one of our major customers, have started raising RCTIs and we need to match them with the project invoices we raise in IFS. So far I could not find a functionality in IFS that caters to Recipient Created Tax Invoicing (RCTI). Am I missing something? If it’s currently not available in IFS, is it something that would be considered in the future? Have there been any requests from other customers to have RCTI functionality or anyone here in the forum having such requirement?TIA
Hi All, We had a recent issue where erroneous postings were resulted in Distribution and Manufacturing Postings Analysis, as the relevant accounts had Code Part B as mandatory (which didn’t flow through in this case), . And it seemed that the system had created empty vouchers in Cancelled state for these every time ‘Transfer Purchase Transactions’ was run (it’s a scheduled task). I found in the Help for Voucher Entry the following “Vouchers with Cancelled status are automatically created when a voucher transfer from IFS Distribution contains a voucher where all included voucher rows were returned to IFS Distribution due to errors. “ Has anyone come across such scenario? Does anyone know the actual purpose of the cancelled voucher creation that’s actually empty? TIA
Rather than using the Forward option or manually selecting report distribution group when ordering a report, is there any way of automatically making a report available to pre-defined distribution groups? (Something similar to user access control in Doc Mgt perhaps)
We are currently considering using IFS Time Tracker 10 for employees to register time using their phone/tab/PC. IFS Time Tracker 10 is available in Apple and Google Play app stores. However Microsoft Store only has up to Time Tracker 9 and does not have the 10 version. Does anyone know why?The PCs and some of the tabs are associated with Microsoft user accounts and we are unable to get Time Tracker 10 onto them due to this issue.
