I've reviewed everything that is easily available. I guess what I was looking for is a more of step by step example of how to modify an existing report. Also I'm having general challenges with the application. One issue is running the app as administer or not as administrator in windows. If you don't run it as admin it will not save preferences. A couple examples are the pop up you get at first saying that the version only works for apps 9 or 10, another would be the application servers you can connect to. But if you run it as administrator then report layouts don't display and the Layout Tree is empty, but the schema shows up correctly. Is there a way to get both to work correctly? Also if you try to preview a report I get an error that pops up. The window is titled Tranform error and it says 'temp\TMPxxxxxx.PDF (the system cannot find the path specified)' Again running thru the process step by step for adding a field that isn't in the default schema. IFS does have a freight interface, at least in the US. If I remember correctly it works with World Ship. It can also send back the tracking numbers and freight costs into IFS and associate them with the order. -Lane
Thanks Rusiru,It didn’t work but it made me re-examine things. Instead of M I needed Manufacturing spelled out in both of the Function Calls. I couldn’t put the function calls in the source column because it forces everything to uppercase and Manufacturing needs to be in mixed case. Also needed to take the quotes of the default values on the method attributes for the modify call in 30.

Rusiru, I was looking for it in Conditional Formatting, not in Conditional Actions. I don’t know if it makes any difference but I’m in an Apps9 Update 11 environment at the moment. The actions may be a solution to dealing with the problem we are experiencing. Thanks, Lane
I should have put in the original message IGNOREXEERROR is set to inactive and nothing is put into the detail tab of the Execute Job screen. The only clue that there was a problem is that it shows fewer rows where updated than selected.
I ended up adding a couple more methods to the migration job. The first method calls exist_operation and if it returns a 1 then the second method updates a row status column.
Unfortunately in this case it doesn’t. I saw the errors you are referring to when I was trying to get the Intface_Table_Migrations_API.Process_Table call working.
Nick, I setup the IFS Print Agent for the printer and I never see it pick up anything in the logs. The report immediately goes to Complete status, I never see it go to Remote Waiting even when the Print Agent is shutdown. -Lane
The credit card interface is pretty basic from my experience. It authorizes the card at order release and charges it at the delivery of product. This also causes challenges with the freight interface. I understand the logic, but there needed to be a better solution. There had been talk at a couple points about adding additional capabilities. One would have been the ability to make payments with a credit card, much like a check. I think that could have solved some of your challenges. The other was someway to handle returns & credit back to the credit card. Both of those we did with payflow web credit card terminal. -Lane

This functionality is used prolifically in our solution by users and super-users to enable them to manage processes and businesses. It seems a significant downgrade then to use Aurena when there are so many useful and even vital features of IEE that have just been removed. Makes it really hard to justify an upgrade to users and management when I have to explain that there job becomes harder, not easier. What is the proposed alternative? Just saying it isn’t possible isn’t really acceptable. I’m going to have the same challenge when it’s time to upgrade. Totally agree that not being able to work across LU/Views is unacceptable. Making the jump from 2004 to Apps 8 was a positive UI change, this forced move to Aurena doesn’t seem as positive.

If you don’t have the &AO or the appowner in front it, oracle will look for the package in the users name space.There are a few places in IFS that it assumes the appowner, but it’s generally needed when it’s executing as the user.
My guess is that the customer number is coming back in the one of the parameters and then the UI is creating the message box.
Luke, You’re other option would be to create a custom event based on a record being added or modified and then throwing an error if the address doesn’t exist. You would need to look at the code in the routine that does the conversion to figure out the best place to add the event. -Lane

Instead of report rules I would use the Printer Definitions screen. Two ways I can see to handle it there#1 - If the batch print is from one specific user then use the Report User Printer tab to set that users destination for the report.#2 - Use the Report Printer tab to set where it goes the majority of the time. Then use the Report User Printer tab to set the default destination for the individual users.
I had the same problem yesterday even after granting all the needed projections. I had to add the ScanIt Activity from the IEE UI. It isn’t needed for the traditional android app, but required for the Aurena one.
I thought I had read somewhere you couldn’t use Selects or Function calls in the cloud. But from your screen shot it looks like you can.Wish they still had demo environments available, so you could go in and try working with it. Also if you want to try new features or features you don’t own. Intraday planning would be one, it looks like it would remove a mod for us.
@arebbeadle look in event actions at the ones with the description starting with Notify Me. Then disable the event actions for items you don’t want. There are some base events for Notify Me that you want to leave active.We run MRP twice daily and have forecast in the system for 6 months out. Our business uses a lot of fresh produce so it generates a lot of purchase reqs. -Lane
The Inventory Turnover Rate on the Inventory Turnover Rate per Period screen is a calculated field. You could use that same calculation in a custom field on the po req lines or po lines. The only challenge may be feeding the calculation the from/to year & period.
It would just a standard custom field, it’s nothing horribly complex. It’s going to be something like what’s below for the purchase req lines. You would remove the ifsapp. and add v. in front of the columns from the base view, such as contract, requistion_no, line_no, release_no. The section that is “2022,12,2023,1” is the period range for the turnover calculation. When you add the tab to the parent screen you can specify the key field(s) on the parent screen and the tab (Child)
