Thanks @EqeRobertK and @Mathias Dahl “Create Documents assistant a way to connect a new document to a folder” - Yes, that is exactly what I am looking for, but when creating a document from an Object. When you use Create Documents Assistant, you need to establish the Object Connections as a second step by searching for the Object (Key Ref) you need to connect the document. But if you are already on the Object, it is easy to create a document directly from there. For example, create a document directly from the Product Structure window. Then we lose that opportunity to place it into a folder.
@MWMDAEG You can use the Estimate Cost tab instead of the Standard Cost tab. Estimate and Standard costs will be the same initially. But if you make some manual changes to the SO material and options the Estimate will differ from the Standard which is correct. The estimated cost will be the correct estimate of the SO cost before starting SO. And of course if you want to change the Estimate cost you can run Calculate Order Estimated Cost. UsageUse this window to analyze shop order costs to ensure that the costs generated from the manufacturing process can be followed up and compared against the planned cost. When a shop order is created, the system automatically calculates the costs based on the order specific data, which is then displayed in the Shop Order Costs window.Note: When a shop order is in the Planned status or Released status, the part cost buckets added on the Cost Template in Cost Set One window can be updated via the right click option Calculate Order Cost on the Shop Or
@cjohnson There can be various ways of achieving this. A suggestion. Depending on the Control plan, you may identify a specific data point that is Within or Out of Specification. When you confirm the the Analysis Result you know there is an Out of Specification data point and the Shop Order No too. Then you can call the Park SO and change the status to Parked. Here you will need to hardcode a specific Park Reason (Eg. QA - QA failed) to set it as the Park Reason automatically.
@alina.panait Whoever has permission via IFS permission set to perform the Cost Rollup, can perform the Cost Rollup regardless of cost estimator or not.
@Curious_User When creating Engineering Parts it automatically creates a part number if you keep the Part Number field blank. If you fill out the Part Number field then Part will create with the part number you want.
Your screenshot shows that the Info Message popup and the Part Type is Purchased (raw), seems you are trying to change from Expense to Purchased (raw). Otherwise, the screenshot should show Part Type Expense because you try to change from Purchased (raw) to Expense.
I would say it is a good thing as it prevents you from saving a wrong Need Date.

@dogorman89 How IFS Shop Order picklist works is that you print the Picklist and an operator a warehouse worker physically pick the matrail and move to the location. Then Report picking means that operator of the shopfloor employee issue material to Shop Order. The confusion here is Report picking does not mean that you reported material being picked. So the material picker should not do anything, except pick the material physically and move it to the correct location. And leave a report picking or Issuing material to the Operator.
@ronhu If it is manageable, what you can do is enter one line in the Split Shop Order screen and then Copy Object once and repeat the Past Object number of times you need.
@Carole, What you can do is in Manufacturing Tool/Where Used tab you can find all the routings that are using the specific Tool and with a simple script or a migration job you change the old Tool ID to a new Tool ID on the Routing Tools tab.
@Ryo Asada, No you can’t hide it. And you can add documents from the tree navigator directly too.
@Pilar Franco you need to issue out all the onhand quantities and enable lot/batch tracking and bring back onhand quantities with lot/batch numbers. This can be done with a few scripts
@Vernon Anderson There was some discussion to develop Co-product functionality in IFS some time back. But I don’t think it was implemented due to not getting much traction to that requirement from the industry. What is the issue you find substitute products as an alternative solution?

@nimesh This is the Status of the Repair or Product Structure alternate. ‘In Effect’ means Structure alternate is Buildable. ‘Not In Effect’ mean any other status other than Buildable. Some functions are allowed only for Buildable structures.For example, you can create Shop Order for the Buildable structure, meaning it will fetch the correct structure alternate with the componets base on the Buildable Structure alternate.
@Patrick , depend on what LOV you are referring to. Some basic data you can set to Not Active or phase out etc to remove appearing on LOV.
@First Employee , I believe you are referring to Configuration Structures. “Compare Manufacturing Structures” is to compare the Components and Quantities. Configuration Structure does not carry the Configuration ID, because you give the configuration in an Order, not in the Structure. If you use “Configuration Specifications Usage” window, you can find the Configuration IDs and where they are used.
Hi,I don’t think we have the option to set it to Auto untick as the default to tick when you select At receipt and issue. But you may develop an Event to fix it. But out of the box, I don’t think there is an option.
@EntDhanaP When you say Product Structure cost I believe you refer to Standard part Cost, which calculate based on the Product Structure and the Routing info. Shop order costing can be deviate due to few reasons. Changes done in So level - this changes the Estimated Cost of SO Actual report of Material and operation is deviates the original - this changes the Actual Cost of SO
@WHGSTEFAN , If your objective is to help users to find Inventory part, Sales part or Purchase part using;Find Inventory Part by Characteristics Assistant Find Purchase Part by Characteristics Assistant Find Sales Part by Characteristics Assistant then, you can use setup “Part Characteristic Template” and attaches to Inventory part, Sales part or Purchase part. Then if you give the exact Characteristic in the Assistance then you will get a an exact match. But, Technical Class is more an object connection. You can even connect it to a Customer Order line and you can use the Best Fit Search assistance to find matching records with a Hit Ratio based on the Technical Characteristics given in the Best Fit Search assistance.
@BUXTON2901 I don’t think you can do this via a standard function. But you can find all the parent parts use that component and change the QPA via a script. But again it depend on your Parent part engineering statues. If the parent part is in Active state you won't be able to change the QPA. You will need to create a new Parent Revision.
