Hi @anuradhauh Unfortunately, IFS doesn’t work the way you want it to. If your moving physical items from one site to another you must have inventory locations at the demand site to receive the item into. You can 100% create CRIM’s to automate elements of the standard process but fundamentally in IFS it is the Buy and Sell process. Either using CO and PO or Distribution Orders. In the case of Inter-Site there isn’t really any movement of Cost because the inventory is owned by the Company not the Site. You won’t get an invoice generated with an inter-site transaction. @anuradhauh The Material Requisition will generate demand in IFS which can be picked up by MRP to perform a ‘Purchase’ or Distribution Order from the Supply Site. Once that has been received at the Demand site you can complete the Material Requisition Process. You could also implement stock at the demand site and get IFS to either replenish via MRP or use an Order Point type replenishment. RegardsLee

Purchase Order Not Being Automatically Created

@KevinLach - The ‘Solution’ detailed, does that relate to a customisation? There is some standard functionality to automatically process PR’s right through to a Printed PO. This is done with the Automatic Order Processing task and setting up Order Processing Types against the Purchase Parts. Cheers Lee

Non-Inventory Part Register Direct Delivery - Error

Hi Direct Delivery doesn’t work with the Inter-Site/Inter-Company functionality. It is because the Direct Delivery functionality doesn’t consider the Internal Transit to clear it down. Central Orders may be an option where you can specify a purchasing site then at line level define different delivery sites. Cheers Lee

Auto Update Safety Stock - Planning Method A

If you have a brand new part with safety stock set and you have no inventory it will be considered in the suggested purchase. e.g Part A - Safety stock 10 and new demand of 10 MRP will suggest 20 are ordered. In subsequent requests IFS will always maintain the safety stock and consider inventory to be at ‘zero’ when there is 10 on hand. It will ignore the 10 on hand for future supply. e.g if you have consumed 8 of the 20 in stock leaving 12 with new demand of 10, there is physically enough in stock to service the demand but MRP would suggest 8 are purchased to ensure you don’t go into the safety stock. In the event you do it will suggest a quantity for the demand plus what is required to maintain/replenish the safety stock level. I hope that makes sense. CheersLee

@cblome I have raised the issue with IFS Support - Investigations are ongoing. One avenue that we have looked at is if the Kubernetes cluster had installed correctly as all the PODS were stuck at a Pending State..

Hide RMB option in specific place

Hi Have you tried to use the Debug Console to identify the API or Screen that the RMB option calls? If you don’t have the menu bar across the top you can press ALT+F then go to View to ensure the menu is visible. In this menu you can open the Debug Console and that should give you a better indication of what permissions you will need to change. Regards Lee

IFS Cloud installation from Management Server

Hi GuysI am getting the same issues as above with my IFS Cloud installation. I don’t have a huge amount of middleware resource. I have tried adjusting the scale setting in the YAML file but this hasn’t resolved my issue. My server resource is only 4 vCPU and 16Gb RAM but that should be more than adequate for my needs. Customer Credit - Not tied to a CO

You could raise an RMA add the item in question then you will have something to raise a credit against. You can process the RMA so you don’t return an item into stock. Alternatively, I think you can use an Instant Invoice to do an ad-hoc credit but this may be better answered by someone who has more knowledge of Finance.

Purchase Order Not Being Automatically Created

Hi If you have just changed the sourcing option on the sales part it won’t have changed it on existing CO’s you will have to go to said CO Lines and change the sourcing option.The standard functionality creates a Purchase Requisition rather than a PO on CO Release. You should be able to see connected items using the Supply Chain Order Analysis screen.RegardsLee

IFS Cloud Remote Installation - Azure VM

Hi @Charith Epitawatta The issue I am getting is when I am preparing the middleware server and running main.ps1 -resource ‘INGRESS’At this point I don’t believe the details come from ifscloud-install.yaml but rather the main_config.json. I should be prompted for credentials but instead I am presented with the error detailed above. Cheers Lee

Best way to migrate from legacy into a fully functional instance?

Ah that makes sense now. I would say you are at a point of no return really. whichever way you look at it the proof of success will be what happens when users start using the environment in anger. I’d do a cut over weekend into LIVE but take a backup of LIVE before starting so you have a roll back point. In experience the issues will tend show days/weeks after migration anyway so the roll back window will have passed.I hope that helps

Best way to migrate from legacy into a fully functional instance?

There are several steps involved here. First you will need to do a data mapping/translation exercise from the legacy ERP to IFSNext, Perform a gap analysis of IFS required data and populate with values. Perform several test migrations and subsequent unit testing to ensure the migrated data achieves a functional IFS CompanyOnce 100% happy then migrate into PROD/LIVE There is simply too much involved to go straight into PROD without prior testing.

Your not able to bypass the Purchase Requisition Stage but you can automate the creation of the PO as long as there aren’t any Authorisation Rules in place to stop the PR proceeding.

Purchase Requistion authorisation Rules

Purchase Requisition Authorisation is PR Line based but the PO Rule is based on the total Order value. There is no fundamental changes in Apps 10. If you are interested in some further assistance in setting up the rules, let me know and we can arrange a call?

Inventory part receipts in APP10 (Upgrading from APP9 to APP10)

In Apps 10 the previous Register Purchase Order Arrivals was changed to Register Arrivals. This is due to a change in functionality that allows the Receipt of things other than Purchase Orders. The fundamental Receipt functionality is is the same as Apps 9 and on the Receipt screen there is a field called Source Receipt Type and you would just query for ‘Purchase Order’ to ensure you only saw PO related ReceiptsI hope this helps

Customer Order and Invoice in Different Currency

IFS should be able to handle this no problem at all.It will do currency conversion from customer currency to company currency. There are also options on the Customer Records to specify different currencies on the Order and Invoice tabs.

Internal Trade Capabilities of IFS

Hi @EnzoFerrari The main functionality for ‘internal trading’ are inter company and inter site. There is also material requisitions that tend to be used for internal consumption of inventory but its not ‘trading’ e.g. If your holding inventory of tea bags, paper, printer ink etc you would use the material req to issue stock to ‘internal customers’ these could then be things like ‘Finance Department’, Sales Department’ etcWhat scenario/process do you want to create an IFS Solution for?
