General approval process for request

Hello IFS community,

I would like to know if there is any possibility to build specific approval process/workflow for any record in IFS. In my case, I want to build the approval process for changing one attribute on Sales Part and it needs to be approved by 2 people (so the related Task is not an option). We have 22R2 IFS Cloud version. Approval process should be like this:

  1. Person A will create a new request for changing the attribute (via custom defined screen on custom table)
  2. Person B and C will receive the notification, go to IFS and approve/reject the request
  3. Person A is notified about the result

Do you know about such option of module,

In Earlier versions of IFS you could use Approval Routings from Document Management and some customisation to control the process and validate approval status

Hi Jan, we have done something similar extensively in Apps 10 using custom events.

We are now in the process of upgrading to IFS Cloud and realize they don’t work, mostly due to the fact that the LU names have changed where the approvals are needed, as well as the key refs.

Did you find a “better” or more modern approach?
