Timesheet regularization: How would correct a project time registration that has been already invoiced when the employee forgot to declare additional days off ?

We usually fill our timesheet on the 20th of the month, so it may happen that we could not foresee a shorter rotation for example: the employee left the site on the 29th instead of the 31st of April, so he worked 2 days less than registered on his April timesheet.Our timesheets are connected to internal cost, and internal invoicing. So if the employee did not work these days, he should not have been paid, and thus the project should not have been charged.In my example above, payroll will adjust his May salary and deduct 2 days, but how it will actually be reflected on the May timesheet itself ? If you work more the month before, you just report overtime the month after, no issue, but if you worked less … you cannot report more absence than the calendar days… If it is 10 hours per day, i cannot report a -20 hours. Anyone faced this issue already ? NB: once the timesheet is transferred you cannot modify it anymore.

How to fine tune projection grants in Aurena?

Hi,I do not understand why, in the example below, I cannot fine tune the access to the projection Multipleprepostingwithsourcehandling…it’s about preposting linked to the Purchase Order. Technically, when the person clicks on Preposting from the PO line, I just want him to see the Preposting in read only. It seems simple, however if I only grant readonly to the related projection below, the user gets a warning message saying it does not have the right to access the projection, so, at the end, he cannot read anything… Which is strange, what’s the point of the read only access? With try and error, I succeed to grant access to the preposting without the possibility to modify it, but it is not reliable at all, as I do not understand what I granted, I maybe opened the door to something else. I also went on this view and checked the “Manage Grants By Command” that is apparently made for that, but for this specific projection, it’s empty ...And why the pages listed here does not match the pag

Add time to project without affecting the schedule

Hi,Is there a way to add project time without impacting the schedule with specific report codes, like wage code of type information ? Otherwise how do you manage costs reallocation when employees work on several activities and they must indicate specific allowance that will impact project costs?On the top of the Time Registration you can specify on which activity you work, but you cannot use report code of type information that will not impact the schedule, and on the bottom part you can add any information you need but you don’t know anymore on which activity to backcharge the costs … any suggestions would be welcome.

LOB locators cannot span transactions

HiWe made an instant invoice with lot of attachments (146 docs) to be sent internally to another company, that’s the first time we put so many.Once we sent it, it generated this error:So I suspect the massive number of attachments to be the source of the problem.We removed them from the original Instant Invoice, but I fear it’s too late as this invoice seems already in “transit” and stuck with this error… Does anyone knows how to cancel it ?? or remove all the attachments from this object in transit ? or force it to move forward … Thanks in advance !!

Long running call: GetCountAttachments

Hi, does anyone face issues related to long running calls slowing down IFS?It was working fine for a while but since several weeks, we start noticing some long running calls related to the Method GetCountAttachments from the package ObjectConnectionServices.We are on APP10 upd 13 and did not move our UPD for more than a year.We are on full standard and only do change on the customization layer.We only use the following modules: Finance, Project, HR, Procurement, Sales, Document Management.I do not know where to search for this method and or to what it’s related.Any help will be welcome, Thanks.

Hiding wage code of type absence to avoid manual entry

Hi,We want to force employees to use the absence request to register their absences, because some employees continue to add manually the wage code of type absence to their TS, bypassing the authorization process.We tried to hide it, but IFS prevents it: Does anyone has got an idea on how to proceed?

Add notes on Read only screen

Hi,Since App10 upd13, is there a way to add notes on a read only screen ?ex: staged billing lines. Custom Field remains read only although it is set as updatable.If still not possible, do you know if that is solved on Cloud version ?

Column Translation not updating

Hi, we have several columns not properly translated.ex: in Manual Supplier InvoiceWe want to change “Montant net” in “Montant HT”When i go to “Text Translation”:I searched for this logical unit, found what seems to be this column and translated. It did not work. So i lost patience, I searched for all “Montant net” within IFS without restriction and replaced all of them by “Montant HT”, I refreshed all the cache: Language, Dictionary, Reference … I restarted IFS, but nothing changed in the screen… What else has to be done ???I’m using APP10 upd13.

Why is my Writeback function remaining GREY?

Hi, I have been struggling for several hours to try using this writeback function in business reporter, but the option still remains grey when i open my report …I am using information source “Project Forecast Item” that is initially setup by default to accept write back functionality, I have put some data in the forecast of my project and I can retrieve these data easily, I have added the write back cell and the mandatory reference cells, no error message, but still the option is grey… Of course i do have admin right on IFS.column G and H that are the ETC and ETA are properly fetched:and if i modify a value i get this message:which means IFS understand writeback is on going.Document options are also activated: Anyone faced the same issue and succeded to make it work ???(I m using APP10 upd 13)

Deleting free fields for a specific employee ?

Hi, does anyone knows how to delete data entered in the free field tab on an employee file ?Because i want now to delete this employee, but it seems that these 3 fields are forbidding me to delete the employee. I get the error message saying this employee is used by 3 rows in another object (employee property), and these fields are the only ones remaining on the file.(we are using APP10 upd 13)

Display a question on a form

I need to create a custom field that is the answer to a question. This question is long:“Is the carbon intensity of the energy produced by the power station, calculated over its entire life cycle, below 100gCO2/KWh? “However the prompt field does not accept more than 30 caracters.Does anyone have a trick, hack whatsoever so I can display may question within the form ?Thanks

Report format & output with layout depending on conditions

Hi,When we wish to print, we may have the option between several layout, is it possible to filter these layouts based on conditions such as the status of the item?If not, the problem is the following:I can create a PO and print it in planned status, then I get a manual signature and send it to my supplier. In some countries, there is a risk of fraud, as I can then delete / change my PO, get an agreement with the supplier ... Anyway, we would like to ensure that all documents that are printed when the item (ex: PO) is in draft, have a watermark, or a different layout from the official approved ones so they cannot be used in a wrong way. Anyone facing this question ? Thanks.

Search fields related to my CLU are empty in the search window

Why I cannot see any field in my search window?The active view and the attribute I have selected are both related to Custom Logical Unit. But I have other attributes similar that work well on this custom view, and i don’t see what is special for them in the settings…  For reference, the attribute just above works well with the search window.

Creating a read only attribute in a custom logical unit referring to another custom logical unit

Hi,I don’t understand what’s going wrong. I’m just trying to create a simple Read only attribute that fetch a column from another custom logical unit: I tried using v.CF$_UO2F with the LRN_U_O2_CLV which is the normal way, but that sends me an error saying view table is not existingand that is not logical as I can actually see this table from the SQL Query Tool and perform the exact same query… If I also try to fetch this data in an event with CURSOR, that does not work either …CURSOR Get_CountryCode (uo_ VARCHAR2) IS            SELECT k.CF$_COUNTRY2             FROM IFSAPP.lrn_u_o2_clv k            WHERE k.CF$_UO2 = uo_;

Inserting a value upon new data creation on Custom Logical Unit

Indexed Custom Fields

The Indexed box is grey ... Or has anyone found a more elegant solution ?

Object Creation Date & Creator

Hi,Every single object has got a ROWKEY ID, is there a table centralizing a kind of log of who generated this ROWKEY so you can know who is the creator of any data in IFS? and when it was created?If not, how can i know who has created a Supplier? and when?idem for Customer, Employees, Persons …For Purchase Order, there is an history, but for most of the rest, it is not obvious…I know I can create an History Log on every item but 1- that’s a lot of work2- that’s maybe redundant3- It’s not that easy to audit4- It’s slowing down the DB at some pointThanks for your help !

Custom Event related to a custom field

Hi,I want to create a custom event related to a custom field. So whenever this custom field is modified, it will send me an email.In this email i need data contained in the main table attached to this custom field (ex: PERS_TAB), so I want to create an Attribute to get the PERSON_ID.In the table PERS_CFT, i see only 2 columns: ROWKEY and MYCUSTOMFIELD. All the get method in PERS_API requires the person_ID … and apparetnly I cannot use a SELECT statement for the attibute, so how can I get my employee name and ID when my custom field is modified?Thanks!

Custom Menu to open form in a non-default company

Hi,I have created a very simple custom menu to open the form Expense Sheet from an other screen.Expense Sheet view is company specific and my default company is RIA.If i try to open through this menu a record that belongs to XYZ company, it will open Expense Sheet in RIA and no record will be be displayed.I have, of course, access to XYZ, so how to force IFS to switch to the company XYZ when opening Expense Sheet view?  thanks !

Is there any limitation regarding IAL?

IAL seems a very convenient object to create buffer table or provide limited access to some data to external users. However I was wondering whether creating lot of IAL may impact the performance of IFS in general or not… And when we schedule an IAL, based on what user the SQL is run? i do not have access to the company XYZ, so if i run the SQL i will not see data related to this company. Thus when I create the IAL , I want IFSAPP or another super user to run my SQL in order to include XYZ. How can I do that ? For instance, in the scheduler we can specify on behalf of whom the scheduler will run.

Problem faced with Balance Conversion

Hi, I’m working on the balances. I have a balance with a max limit of 16hours (B-OT4-D), whenener we exceed this limit, i want the excess to be added to another balance (BAL_ACCR)   When we book on the proper wage code after exceeding the limit of 16, it creates this “Balance” line with -8 however it does not affect the 2nd balance BAL_ACCR setup of B-OT4-D I tried also with an accrual on the wage code. The accrued wage code appears on the timesheet but the balance connected to this wage code does not get updated…I don’t understand what setup I’m missing.Thanks in advance

Migration Job error with custom field - savepoint ‘NEW_JOB’ never established

Hi,I am trying to update a custom field with Migration Job but I get this error message:savepoint ‘NEW_JOB’ never established.In the past, I already succeeded to update a custom field on a different view, so i know the basic required setup.However last time it worked easily. It was on view Customer, this time i m updating table PERS (Personal Files)Any Idea what could have gone wrong ? main views:
