Text Wrapping in Aurena Overview Tables

Received a case on the following from one of the customer. After the new UPD, they observed this change and inquired more info on that.In overview tables, longer text are wrapped with the following approach in latest UPDs of App10 (ex: UPD 19, 20..) However in older UPDs (such as 8, 9), the approach is different. If it is multiline with line breaks or not, the appearance is same in the overview.What is the design requirement behind this change and in which UPD version, this change was introduced?

Inconsistent Behavior of the Description in Part and Serial Object screens

The description of the relevant part from the Part screen is inherited as the description of the Serial Object when a Serial Object is created (Service > Equipment > Serial Object > Serial Object). Once the object is created, the description can be changed in the Part and Serial Object screens.If the description of the Part screen is changed for a Part then the Description(s) of the corresponding Serial Object(s) is/are changed accordingly. But not the other way round. The Description of the Serial Object can be changed. Lets say we amend a Serial Object with a different description and then for some reason we decided to change the description of the relevant part in the Part screen. Once the description is changed, the description of the Serial Objects (all connected to the specific part) will be overwritten.Therefore it feels like there is a gap in this function. Party ID LoV is not correct when Party Type = Asset Manager

Observed that the following LoV is not correctly populated when the Party Type = Asset Manager.It retrieves the values related to the last selected Party Type value or if it is the first time then it contains the supplier info.Is this desired? Then add the Person Id and try to save, the following error occurs.Observed in APP10 Internal IFS reference instance.

Maintenance Material Requisition connected to a cancelled PO

In this scenario, a Purchase Requisition is raised through a Maintenance Material Requisition. The WO is project connected. The PR is processed and a PO is created. Without receiving the parts the PO has been cancelled. When cancelling the PO, it was decided not to reopen the PR.Then in Maintenance Material Requisition, Only Manual Pegging is active and it is not possible to Reserve any material even though in the line Available Qty is positive. Since the line is connected to the PO which was cancelled earlier, the system does not remove the reference. That line can no longer processed further. If the system removes the PO ref from the line when the PO is cancelled then there will be no connection between the WO, PR and PO.If it is required to reserve material, another new line can be entered and it needs to be further processed.

Calculation in Purchase Orders qty in Inventory Part Currently on Hand

Copy paste activities in Sub Project Scope and Schedule

Create an activity in a sub project in Sub Project Scope and Schedule and try to copy it and paste it in a different sub project. Try saving records but error pops up “Activity already exists.The reason for this is having the previous Activity Short Name assigned for the pasted Project Activity. If it is removed, the record can be saved and the system assigned a new activity short name. When the activity count increases, this manual work would be time consuming.This is not a critical bug, but with this issue copy - pasting activities in this page become not usable. Is a fix for this issue already planned?

Resource Forecast Lines remain in Project Forecast after Resource Forecast is disconnected

When a Resource Forecast is connected to a Project Forecast and is disconnected, the Activity lines are not getting removed instead the values become zeros. Test CaseApproved Resource ForecastConnect the Resource Forecast to a Project Forecast and observe the value are updated Then Disconnect the Resource Forecast and observe that the values are zero and the lines can still be seen, such lines should be manually deleted.

Logi behind the calculation of Purchase Lead Time and Latest Order Date

When the lead times are set as follow:How the “Purchase Lead Time” is calculated? How the “Latest Order Date” is calucated in Purchase Requisition Line (Distribution calendar is 5-days per week, assuming no exceptions) Supplier Manufacturing Lead Time External Transport Lead Time Transport Lead Time Internal Delivery Lead Time Inspection Lead Time 280 0 0 4 20 Purchase Lead Time = Supplier Manufacturing Lead Time + External Transport Lead Time + Transport Lead Time + Internal Delivery Lead Time + Inspection Lead. TimeWhen calcualting the Lead Time, the calendar is not relevant therefore the Purcahse Lead Time is 304 days in this scenario. Then when a Purchase Requisition Line is created for this part with “Wanted Receipt Date” as 2024-10-04, the “Latest Order Date” is calculated as 2023-11-27.The number of calendar days between 2023-11-27 and 2024-10-04 is 312 days not 304 days. There is a difference

Project Spread Profile functionality in Project Forecasts

The aim of this post is to clarify the functionality of the Project Spread Profile within the IFS Budgeting and Forecasting module. Refer to the following exampleThe objective is to allocate USD 10,000 across the activity dates, which span from August 1, 2022, to November 8, 2022. This allocation follows a profile comprising five intervals with distinct percentage distributions of 0%, 10%, 20%, 30%, and 40%, respectively. We need to compute the specific spread amount per period from 2022-08 to 2022-11.Please note: The spreading calculation takes into account only working days based on the connected calendar to the project. In this instance, the connected calendar assumes 8x7 (meaning all seven days of the week are considered working days). The rule of thumb is to select only the working days during the period (start and date dates). Question customer raisedWhen entering or updating Resources in a Project Activity, it will often show a message such as:”The resource xxx has no capacity calculated for the activity period.”Clicking ‘Yes’ will add the record as expected, so not stopping functionality. Why this message appears?

Possible to change Export License in state Approved

It is possible to change the values in the tabs of Export License (path: Part Master Data > Export Control > Export License > Export License) even though the Export License State is Approved. Change of values does not Triger a state change as well. Normally when the License is in the Approved state, it makes no sense if it can be altered.For example, it is possible to add a site in Site tab. This is what it is in 21R1 to the latest.Is there any desired functionality on this?Component: EXPCTR

Changing the Project Manager on Projects

Users are unable to change project managers on projects even though project access is NOT turned on.Based on the help text for this field, it suggests "If access is turned off by clearing the check box, all the access definitions will be deleted and all the users will have access to the whole project"Default value PROJECT_ACCESS property in System Definitions/Object Property tab is set to OFF.We have project managers leave the business, and then subsequently no one apart from IFSAPP is able to then change it to an active project manager which is causing a lot of issues. Why can't others in the business be able to change project managers when the access is turned off?

Expense Reference in Expense Sheet copies only to Internal Comment field in Project Transactions

Customer Query: In the previous version of IFS (IFS APP 9), the expense reference from from the expense sheet was pulled though onto the Invoice Comments in project transactions, however since IFS10 it has been pulling through onto the Internal Comments section which means this needs to be copied and pasted to Invoice Comments screen if it is required on the invoice. Ideally we would like all Expense References to be pulled through onto Invoice Comments so they are visible on invoices.Please can you tell me if this is possible in IFS10?
