Hello, I am attempting to create a Streams notice for when the Operational Status of a Functional Object changes. Specifically, I would like an alert when the status changes to “Out of Operation”. I created an event and event action using the LU and column that I assumed was correct:However, the event is not triggering. I’ve tried various changes to the Event Action, but nothing is working. I’m not sure what I am missing with this setup, I’ve followed this same process for creating other notifications in IFS without issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hello, We are currently in the process of implementing IFS Apps 10. The system is setup as multi-site. We are a manufacturing company, and often times we have a part that will be manufactured across multiple plants. We may perform a stamping operation in one site, ship that part to another site for consumption in a Product Structure to create a finished part, which would then be shipped to a customer. We are finding that part setup can be quite tedious and time consuming. There is a lot of manual entry to setup an Inventory Part, Sales Part, Routing, Product Structure, Purchased Parts, etc. There are a few shortcuts I’ve used such as Standard Operation, Routing Templates, Copy Part, and creating a Sales Part first to have the Inventory Part automatically created. The vendor we are working with has suggested using a custom spreadsheet to create the parts and import them into the system from the spreadsheet. Hello, I am attempting to create a Streams notification that is sent to users when they are assigned as the Responsible user on a given CO Action. I have the notification created, however, I’m not sure how to get the Streams notice to push to the responsible user. Currently, the only option is the Responsible ID, which appears to be their employee number and Responsible, which is their name. Neither of these allow the Streams notice to be sent to them. Is there anyway to configure this notification? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hello, I’ve noticed an issue that I believe is the result of a misconfiguration on our tenant. Currently, our maintenance group is able to log into Work Orders for repairs. They can clock out and close the WO as well, all while being off the “payroll” timeclock. I assumed the behavior for S&M was the same as the shop floor clocking. In the event an associate tries to clockin to a Shop Order, the system would prompt them and state that they are not clocked into timeclock. They are then automatically clocked in. Likewise, they cannot clock out of timeclock if they are still clocked into a Shop Order. This behavior doesn’t appear to be available for the service and maintenance group. Is this correct, or can the same functionality be extended to that group? My concern is that there will be a lot of errant clocking if S&M users are able to independently log time to WOs and clock on and off timeclock without any cross checking. Thank you!

Hello All, I have notice what appears to be a latency issue when users are executing IPAP for any given part. When a user runs a search for any part, there is a 2-3 minute delay before the IPAP results are returned. There do no appear to be any long running calls in the system, and there are no scheduled tasks running. It appears to be impacting any part, and seems to be getting progressively worse. I’m not sure if there is a setting/configuration to check, or if something may be misconfigured. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Hello, I have created a saved search that uses Sum and Grouping. I’ve built the Lobby element, and it is rendering correctly. However, I’ve updated the Navigation to give the user the ability to be taken to the saved search data when they click the Lobby element. When I click the Lobby element, it takes the user to the IFS screen, however, it seems to be dropping the Sum and Grouping. Is this simply a limitation of the Lobby navigation, or is there additional configuration that is needed on the Lobby element? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hello, I am looking for a way to prevent our Logistics department from Delivering/Completing a shipment without approval. Currently, we have been experiencing issues with incomplete data being filled out by our shipping clerks. This is leading to post-shipment cleanup transactions. I’ve noticed in Shipment Type, there is an Approve before Delivery checkbox. The help seems to indicate that enabling this will require a shipment to be approved before Delivery can be made. Unfortunately, there is not additional detail on how this approval works. Has anyone used this feature before? If so, how is the approval setup? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hello, I’m attempting to use the Copy Part feature to copy an Inventory Part, Routing, and Product structure to another site in my system. Currently, we are creating parts in an estimating site that houses all of our work centers, labor classes, etc. Once the parts are finalized, I would like to use the Copy Part function to move those parts to the correct manufacturing site. I have noticed that the Copy Part function works, however it does not bring over my routing steps. I’ve tried changing the status to Build, but the routing steps still do not appear after the copy. I’m not sure if there is something I’m missing, or if this is how the Copy Part function works when you try to copy to another site. The final item I’ve noticed is that you are not able to copy a new Product Structure component part to a new site unless you manually copy the part prior to running the Copy Part from the top level Inventory Part. Hello, I have created an object connection on my Inventory Part screen for Change Request. I am able to see it with full IFS permissions, however, my users cannot see the CR attachment object. I’ve granted Permission Set access to Change Management, and those users can navigate and use the features. The issue is only impacting the connected object. Hello, I am attempting to disable Find and Replace in IFS for certain users to prevent accidental bulk changes. I have run debug console, but that hasn’t pointed to any direct items I can disable on a given Permission Set to prevent access. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Often times in our industry, we will need to requote an existing product to our customer. The Bid Estimate module does allow us to pull in the existing Inventory Part, which is great. However, I have noticed that if you do that, you cannot modify the Std Lot Size on the part. I’ve attempted to create a new Version and Revision, but I am still unable to change this. Often times we will change the Std Lot Size to give several cost options. Is there a way to accomplish this in IFS?
Hello, I am attempting to make it easier for Shop Floor users to understand when there is a material shortage on Shop Floor Workbench. Currently, on the materials tab, there is a red exclamation if a certain material is short. Is it possible to use conditional formatting to highlight that row to make the problem more visual? I have not seen a way or column on that tab where it could be setup. I’m assuming there is something that enables that status alert, but I cannot find the column to use for CF. Hello, I have noticed an issue when using the Multi-Site Part Structure Analysis module in IFS Apps 10. The analysis does not show the full BOM in some cases. Specifically, it stop when when we hit an Inventory Part with a Part Type of Purchased (Purchased Part with a Product Structure). Unfortunately, this paints an incomplete picture when we view a Part using this analysis. Is there another location in IFS where you can view the full structure of a Multi-Site part, or is there a configuration setting that must be enabled to view the structure of a Purchase Part in this screen? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Hello all, I’m curious to know if anyone has found a published changelog with details of what has been added/removed from IFS between updates? The log that comes with the notification contains a very general list of items moved to Aurena, etc. but there isn’t anything beyond that. I find that after we apply an update, there are a litany of items that have been added, some of which turn out to be very beneficial to our company. The issue is because there is no detailed log of what was updated/rolled out, we have no way of knowing unless we stumble upon it by accident. Thank you!
Hello, I’m noticing an issue on Shop Floor workbench. Currently, we have a 1st and 2nd shift. Shop Orders may span multiple shifts and it appears that if an operator on a prior shift (1st) is clocked into Start Production, a 2nd shift employee cannot join that operation without creating a Team and joining that. Is this correct, or is there a way to allow individuals to Start Production on operations without having to use a Team? Thank you!

Currently, we have our Control Plans for Manufacturing setup for 1hr interval time triggers. I’m finding that this may cause more harm than good. I’ve been experimenting over the last few days, and it seems that time triggers will continue to run, even if there is no associate clocked into the Shop Order. An instance of this would be an associate completing the Setup step. The Op status will change to Partially Reported, and the time trigger will continue to run and generate Analysis every hour. It appears the only way to stop this behavior is to select Interrupted. If an associate has selected Start Production, and then stopped production with the status Partially Reported, the time trigger appears to stop. If my understanding is correct, this is simply how time triggers behave. I believe this may cause issues with generation of Analysis when associates would not be expecting to see them. I have a user that never receives the numerical notification in his Streams when he is sent something. If he clicks on the Streams button, he does see the task/notice, however there is not red alert to indicate it is there. He appears to be the only user this is happening to, and I do not see anywhere in Streams that there is a config to turn the notice on or off. Any help or guidance on this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
During our manufacturing process, we produce scrap. This is anticipated, as it is a result of stamping processes on our shop floor. A part will be stamped out, and the metal skeleton is collected and then sold to a metal scrapping facility. We have been setting this up as a by-product for each type of metal (stainless, copper, etc.). The issue we are running into is that our operators have to manually receive all by-product on the shop order. Is there a way to automatically receive by-product without having an operator need to report it during the Shop Order? Should by-product even be used for this scenario? I believe we needed to use by-product for the financial transaction of selling the scrap material: PN: 123456 produced 10,000 lb of scrap as a result of the mfg process, and it was sold to company XYZ for $6,000.
Hello, I’m having an issue understanding the workflow in IFS as it relates to Sales Quote generation. Currently, we are starting the process at Business Opportunity. An opportunity line would be entered for a top line part, which would be saved as a Non-Existing Part. From there an Estimate is created for the part. The calculation is made and the Business Opportunity is updated via the connected object from the Estimate to the Opportunity. In order to create a quote, we have to register the part using Register Non-Existing Part in Business Opportunity. When that is done, you can then RMB the opportunity line and create a Sales Quote. The issue becomes when you need to change the quote for any reason, the Business Opportunity is not also updated to reflect the change. If you adjust Contribution Margin on the Sales Quote, that does not update the Business Opportunity. Hello All, We are an IFS Apps 10 customer, and we are in the middle of our implementation. We have run into an issue with regard to the Estimating module. The issue we are facing is creating an estimate for a part that has operation steps at multiple sites. We may have a part that has an operation step in one facility, and it is then shipped to another facility for additional manufacturing. We have been unable to build this estimate, as the module seems to require you to use the same site for all parts in the estimate. I believe we may be setting the estimate up incorrectly, but I am not sure. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!
