@Mathias Dahl   In response to your question segregated;  for me this is the use of different physical file shares (which normally is also separate physical hardware). I have seen that approach in several defence business when they wan to keep ITAR and CUI data way from the rest of the enterprise data, and it has never given them compliance issues. I have also seen data stored on separate networks and IP based restrictions put in place. This approach does force the use of static IPs (in some cases) which generally be a pain to manage, but in some cases its needed because of the level of classification of the data.

APPS 10 vs Cloud

I agree with the last two posts above, I also think in terms of time to value, the fastest implementations I have even seen in the 21 year I have worked in the IFS Ecosystem are with IFS Cloud. You will also get access to the all the latest features, and anything new coming down the release tracks from IFS which now are every 6 months will be in IFS Cloud. IFS Cloud is constantly evolving and improving, A10 is close to begin consigned software oblivion.  Also, I am not sure if IFS will even sell you A10 now if your a new customer.

I can see why FTP might have been dropped, but why not replace it with SFTP,. Don't just drop it with no path forward. That said I 100% agree with Dean the ability to set up separate repositories, is key, it allows customers to keep data that needs more advanced security controls in place segregated. This is a MUST for users in Highly Regulated Industries and the existing function was the great solution that allowed us to mange data subject Export Control and Sovergity Regulations in DOCMAN.

Creating receipts without Purchase Order

You could possibly do a RMA Reciept, I have normally used it for returns or items needing repair, but it does allow of other Items to be returned as well. The down side you have with this is it needs to be recorded against a Customer, but may work for you anyway if it's Customer Owned.

I know this thread is a bit old, one approach I have seen done before is using AWS.  The article below gives you an overview of the Architecture Automatically extract content from PDF files using Amazon Textract - AWS Prescriptive GuidanceIf you take this approach you would then have to pass the results back to IFS in an API call.

Lobby

It depends on the version you get this is what you get in IFS Cloud; and each box below you can drill into.  For IFS Applications 10 there isn't much, I have created lobbies on Inventory for clients on these before. There are some lobbies for Warehouse Operations and Procurement (Under the Master Lobbies, see PPT attached).

Lobby element bar chart Order by

I have the same problem I have dates in groupings; what I see is the Bars are ordered by the Value on the Y Axis (with the Highest Qty First), even if I sent in the Order by to be based on the Alias of the Grouping and Ascending or Descending Order.

What will become of the old IFS Forum (Open IFS)?

Thank for the advice. The issues with openIFS is that a lot of the useful connect is in Wiki  format rather than a Q&A.  For example  The Partner network pages that when you need more details on AQS there refer you Wikis on openIFS.  https://open.ifsworld.com/wiki/Wiki%20Pages/AQS%20Overview%20and%20Content.aspx Open option; would be an a wider more open Sharepoint Site in MyIFS. Sharepoint Supports Wikis and Document management.

Is there an IFS Community App?

The optimized site works fine for text, but it's not too good for images as are presented really small objects like graphics/tables or screenshots as they cant be resized/zoomed in on. On the notifications side of things, the email notifies you have had a response but doesn’t give you any detail, which then means you have to use the link to go to the post.
