Hi,Yes you are correct that in current versions of IFS Cloud you define the Acceptance Sampling parameters, including AQL, on the control plan header level only. Being able to define AQL (and Inspection Level) on the control plan line level is on the IFS R&D road map for future development in the Quality Management area.
You can use the control plan template functionality for this. Create a control plan template and apply it on multiple parts.
You define what/how/when to inspect in your Control Plans. You perform the inspection (as defined by the Control Plan) and enter the inspection results in the “View and View Results” assistant.In the Control Plan, all control plan lines (Data Points) are connected to a Norm Type. And a Norm Type has a “Unit of Measure”.The “Unit of Measure” value is displayed as read-only in the “Enter and View Results” assistant.If you want to change the “Unit of Measure” for a specific data point, then you have to do that in the Control Plan by selecting another Norm Type for the Data Point of interest.In Shop Floor Workbench you can view the planned/performed inspection for a specific operation (including the UoM values) in the Operation Guide.
If a valid control plan manufacturing revision exists for the part of interest, then it should be connected to the shop order automatically when the shop order is created, regardless if the shop order is pegged to a customer order or not.The control plan revision is valid if the status is Active, and the shop order need date falls within the date range defined by the control plan revision Phase In and Phase Out dates.
The selected Receive Case in the Supplier for Purchase Part page will control this, regardless if there is an Active control plan purchasing or not.

Hi,Each failure have one or many effects defined and each defined effect has a severity value. If the failure occur then all defined effects also occur. The effect with the highest defined severity ranking will be used in the RPN calculations for all causes connected to the same failure. So, it is not true that “IFS always links the cause with the first effect of the list”, it will use the failure effect with the highest severity value when calculating the RPN numbers for the connected causes. There is no good way in the standard application to see the FMEA status in a multi-level product structure. Maybe you can solve this by adding some custom fields where needed.

The recommended practice in many industries is to calculate capability only after a process has been demonstrated to be in a state of statistical control. The data should be collected long enough, and in such way, as to include all common sources of variation, preferably for 25 or more inspections.Calculating Cp and Cpk after only one, small run, shop order is far from an ideal situation from a statistical point of view. If you really want to do it this anyway you can create two Analysis (inspections) for your one and only shop order. Use a control plan line percentage Inspection Code that gives you a sample size of 50% of the lot size. Create two Analysis for the shop order operation of interest. Inspect the first 50% items of the lot size on the first Analysis, and the remaining 50% of the lot size on the second Analysis.
Have you tested the different settings for the Open NCR Allowed column in the Audit Type basic data page?
Also, make sure that the Manufacturing Tools to be used in any Control Plan are “enabled for control plan” and that the validity is “Active”.

There are many different ISO standards regarding acceptance sampling, so the question is what specific ISO standard your client is using.IFS Cloud supports attribute lot-by-lot sampling (ISO 2859-1:1999) and attribute skip-lot sampling (ISO 2859-3:2005)
You have probably not defined the acceptance sampling attributes in the Detail tab. They are mandatory to be able to use Acceptance Sampling.
The Inspection Code value determines “how many items to inspect” for a data point. When using Acceptance Sampling this value is calculated by the acceptance sampling logic. To activate acceptance sampling for an (attribute) data point you simply set the Inspection Code value to the system-defined value “Acceptance Sampling”. This will activate acceptance sampling for the data point of interest. You do not define and connect any triggers manually in the Sample Frequency Trigger tab.

If that is the case you can change the Phase In Date on your control plan (or the shop order need date)and the connect the control plan to the DOP shop order of interest manually.
