I am creating income statement using SQL. I am also using report generator. The requirement is from my boss to see income statement on given date. The costs which are not known would be taken from budget tables. There are following questions on how to solve this problems. Is there possible modification of report generator logic to run the report on given date ? The budget amount should be used proportionally to current date. For example today is January 13th, so January budget should be multiplied by 13/31. The alternative is to use SQL report which result after period end would be comparable to report generator results. We are experiencing problem with batch queues taking much longer than they are configured to start background jobs posted. E.g Fast Queue is configured to execute every second with 2 processes. However, I see the jobs are posted to the queue but takes 2-5 mins to start. I have reinitialized the queue but still cannot see the difference. Same happens with other queues. What could be the problem and where should I be looking at? There are no Executing jobs which the queue should be waiting for either. DBMS Scheduler was crashed today and we had to restart database and enable scheduler.
We use labor rate dilution for one of our companies. The process only works when the week ends on a Saturday because I have to run by process for an entire week. I was wondering if anyone out there uses labor rate dilution and what do you do when the month does not end on a Saturday. Thanks everyone!
We are updating to IFS10 currently, and have created new Lobbies for each base profile. I am able to change and push them out to the base profiles, however; if someone has created their own start/home page, it saves that to their personal profile. For those users, is there a way i can have the base profile home page overwrite their personal profile without clearing their personal profile or manually updating all 600+ users personal profile? Any help would be awesome!
How can I connect to the IFS 8 MWS node manager? The process shows as SUSPENDED and I can’t kick out the connected users to restart the Windows Services. How can I UNSUSPEND the server?
As users run Crystal Reports in IFS 8 the Crystal Web Service database sessions never exit, they continue to stack up during the day and must be manually killed. Any thoughts or settings that can be made to stop this behavior?
We are a Manufacturing company, along with our own products we repair products from other manufacturers, As of now, we have a generic ‘Non-OurCompany’ part number and we repair under this Object Id in our quotations. Moving On, the vision is to registering outside vendor’s parts in our system as Serialized objects to track history or repair etc. I want to know What could be the best practice in this case? How other businesses are dealing this scenario. Is this handled in IFS someway… doesn’t feel good creating so many parts in our system that we dont keep in inventory and we dont sell. Point me to some real use cases or reading material to start my research to figure out if this could be a good route for us?
We have a need to send purchase orders to multiple people at the supplier (procurement and quality group for example). How do we do this with an Event? We have the same issue with Customer Invoices needing to go to Customers (Procurement, Quality and Finance). If we have one, we would be able to figure out the other.

Hello, Currently our set up does not include item received but not yet inspected. While a PO is in open status MRP looks at the open order and considers it in MRP evaluation but once that item is received yet not approved for use it is not considered by MRP and I am prompted to order more of this item sitting in limbo until QC inspect and approves it. Now on the other hand this works well for our finished goods of which we do not want Sales to see the items as available until QC has completed their inspection. Seems like we are missing something in the set up here. Any suggestions? Thanks, Philip
Is there any way to implement some sort of approval flow when entering scrap for an inventory part so that if a certain scrap code is used, it then must be approved? Some scrap codes we use need to be verified/looked at, while others are considered normal process types of transactions. With all that said, we do not (and do not want to at this time) use the scrap functionality from the workbench.

We have EDI orders coming in for a specific site (1S). The customer is setup to receive the ORDERS message. The orders are hitting the Connect server and I can see the 850 XML file from the Explore Application Messages screen as it shows the message was posted to queue IN1 and Finished successfully. However, the order does not show up in the Incoming Customer Order screen. In the Connectivity Inbox Message, it shows the order was “Rejected” but does not give an error message as to why it was Rejected. Has anyone else experienced this issue or know the cause?

However is it possible with HSPTEXT element IFS Version: 9.4 Also, I am trying to center the text on HSPTEXT. Due to the title part, it does not centralize. We are developing custom fields and custom LU’s in a customers IFS 9 Environment. We will also be developing new report files (.rdl) that contain custom logic on custom fields. These .rdl files will not be sent to IFS Harvest as they contain custom logic and will not be accepted by IFS. We have also developed a custom API which has custom logic written as per IFS standards. we accept full responsibility on the support of all these configurations if any issues arise in the future. we will not be making any changes to core IFS code and will simply be using the configuration tools provided to us by IFS. My Question is - Based on the nature of this work does this violate any IFS license?

I’m having a problem in proceeding survey functionality in IFS app 8. Here I created a survey and did not select the checkbox regarding ‘Answer Once’ assuming that it will allow me to answer to the survey more than once. But, when I’m going to attempt it for 2nd time, the error message pop up stating that ‘ you have already answered the survey, if you have not please contact the system administrator’. Further when I contact system administrator he does not know what to be done? Could you explain the functionality of ‘Answer Once’ check box? Is there anything that system administrator can do?
During a shop order process, I want to track all my work in progress (WIP) materials through separate locations during a shop order process. Once I issue the component material against a shop order, before starting the operation or in the mid of any operation I want to track the location of that WIP material. Is it possible in IFS Apps9 through a work around solution?

Hello, Does anyone know of set up for Payment Institute / Cash Accounts to restrict it’s use if supplier invoice currency doesn’t match the cash account currency? It seems in Apps9 it allows me to select a different currency cash account with no warnings / hard stops that it doesn’t match the currency of the invoice in the payment proposal. I’ve had a payable user not select from a list of values all fields in payment order pop up form, therefore they didn’t notice they picked the wrong one until after the checks were printed. I know I could create a custom event to perhaps stop this but just wondered if I’m missing something in set up? Thank you
