Hello, After creating a new customer, and populating the Invoice>General tab with company data, the customer is unable to be removed. There are no transactions of any kind associated with this customer. The following error message comes up: Reference design error when executing “SELECT COUNT(*) FROM INVOICE_TAB WHERE company = :value1_ AND identity = :value2_ AND PARTY_TYPE = :value3_ AND (CREATOR = ‘’Project_Invoice_API’’)” When copying the error out of the debugger, I notice that Project_Invoice_API is encapsulated in two sets of single quotes, which throws the error. I can attach the PL/SQL trace if it would be of any use. Any thoughts on this mystery? Many thanks, Marty
I am trying to bring over customer and supplier invoices using the heavy migration tool. The containers load successfully, migration prerequisites job executes without error, but when we try to bring over a couple of items to test, nothing is written to the tables. I am currently working to help my company go live with IFS 10. In attempting to unpublish an old custom logical unit that is no longer necessary, the following error comes up during the attempt: Error occured during unpublish.ORA-20105: ProjectionConfig.PROJCONFIGINUSE: The Projection “CustomProjection[LuName]” is in use by page configurations. Unpublish the page configuration first. Try as I may, I cannot find where the “page configuration” is or how to unpublish it. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Is it possible to use sums on fields in workflows? Here’s the SQL query for what I am trying to get using workflows:select sum(quantity) ,activity_seqfrom SCH_OF_WORK_EST_RES_SUMwhere project_id = <<project id here>>and resource_type_db = 'PROJECT_RESOURCES'group by activity_seq So I would like to get the sum of the PROJECT_RESOURCES values for each particular activity sequence and then insert this value at the activity level to a certain field. Trouble is, I don’t know how to get the sum using workflows. I’m sure it’s somewhere in the documentation or examples, but I’m not sure where. Hi there, I wonder if anyone is able to help with this issue: This is for IFS 10 - Update 6 We’ve created a “from scratch” layout for the Instant Invoice. It renders fine using IFS Report Designer, so I’ve uploaded it to our TEST environment. When attempting to Preview from the Print Dialog, the following error comes up: GENREPORTIO:Could not generate report: ‘TRANS_CONF_ERROR:Failed transforming report data : “line 244: Required attribute ‘test’ is missing.” The original layout still prints out without issue, leading me to believe something needs to be added the the “from scratch” layout file to get it to work properly. Any suggestions?
I’m trying to move the elements (.rpi, _rpt table and _rep view… is there more?) for a custom operational report (this is an SSRS based report that I did not create) from one test instance of IFS to another. Is there a way to do this from within the application?
Hello all, Our company used to have 3 sites set up. A portion of the business was sold which now renders 2 of the 3 sites we set up as obsolete for the current company. Is there any way to “deactivate” sites so they are no longer an option for customer orders, sales contracts, etc.? We are using APPS10 update 6. Thank you,Marty
We use IFS10Update6, and have several operational reports that we utilize SSRS for. I needed to make a change to a couple of these reports, but as of this morning, IFS Data Source is no longer available in Visual Studio (version 19) as an embedded connection type. I can’t refresh fields on my datasets, and I would imagine this would affect other aspects of report development and deployment as well. I hadn’t made any changes to the Visual Studio software, though I updated the software to see if it fixed the problem, which it did not. Any ideas on what could cause this to happen and/or potential solutions? Thank you in advance.

Is there a way to limit the display on this overview to items with object_type ‘Activity%’? Is there a way to default the information on this tab to the results of a custom search or something?

We used the Estimate screen to develop product estimated material cost. Each component has a direct material cost per unit. We used Transfer Estimate Products to generate Inventory Parts. Is there a standard method in IFS to set the estimated material cost for purchased Inventory Parts equal to the direct material cost per unit from the product Estimate? If not, how do you do it? I’m having a bizarre issue. I’ve made edits to a .views file defining a particular view. When I choose “Generate Code and Deploy,” the .apv file that gets created has lines of code that are out of order (I numbered the lines). I’ve put the code in a text editor and there don’t seem to be any strange special characters or anything. This one has me baffled. Has this or anything similar ever happened to anyone else?
