Failed sent mail messages not retrying

We are seeing a number of failed e-mail messages out of IFS.  We are on Apps 10 UPD16.The error we are seeing on the outgoing messages is “SMTP Send Failed Exception, concurrent connection limit exceeded.”.  We are checking the limits allowed though exchange.Our issue is that in IFS connect the settings we have against MAIL_SENDER1 is MAX RETRIES = 60 and RETRY INTERVAL = 60.  With these settings in IFS Connect I think the Failed application messages should be retried every 60 seconds on 60 attempts, but this does not appear to be happening.Any assistance hear would be appreciated.

Adding Custom Fields from other view

We are using Apps10.I want to add a custom field to the Count per inventory part screen.  When you go to add a custom field you are taken to the the Inventory part in stock custom field page.  The custom field I want to add has already been created in the part in stock screen, but I am not able to show these custom fields in the count screen.I thought it would be as easy as adding the view to approval detailed views and approving it. It allows me to do this.The issue comes when I go back to custom fields and attempt to Synchronise, then the error message below is displayed.  Am I missing something or doing something incorrectly? ThanksDarren

Duplicate Aurena Page to create a modified standard page

We are using IFS10 Aurena.  Is it possible to duplicate a standard page, and then modify the new page to give us what we want to do with it?  We need to keep the standard page and have a modified version of the page for all users for a different purpose. We are not able to create a custom page as if we do this the entities on it are not editable.We are not able to do this using a different context of the page as users will require the standard page and the modified standard page. Any options on how to achieve this in our version would be appreciated. ThanksDarren

Contra between a supplier and customer

We would like to complete a contra between a customer account and a Supplier Account.  This is not something we have done previously in IFS before and so am unsure if it is even possible.Please can you advise if there is a way to complete this type of transaction in IFS ?  ThanksDarren

Customers info xml to sFTP location

We are integrating with a supplier using EDI and have setup the transfer of incoming customer orders and purchase invoices during setup and testing.There is a need to send the supplier our customer delivery address information so they can reference this on their orders, as they are delivering to our customers using supply code ‘Purch Ord Direct’.  This process should be scheduled daily to allow them to keep their records up-to-date as new customers are added.I have so far been able to create a quick report to get the required information and been able to schedule the quick report to send the data via e-mail. Does anyone know if there is a way for us to schedule the output in csv or xml format for IFS connect to send the file into a sFTP location?We are on IFS10 UPD16. ThanksDarren

Invoice Printing Order

When our users highlight a selection of customer invoice to print, they order the screen in customer no order, as this is the order they would like them to print.  When they print they do not print in this order.  This appears to have been working as required in IFS8 with no differences in setup between IFS8 and IFS10.I have tried setting customer no in the order by field in the report definition, but this has had no effect (unless I am using this functionality incorrectly?).  Our invoice print layout is a crystal report and within crystal we have set the sort order of customer order.  None of these things have given us what we require.  It appears that the process of creating the invoice from the preliminary invoice sets the order and the result key and then the invoices are then printed in result key order.  Is there a way to set invoices to print in customer number order?

Overlapping Date Intervals

We are using certificates for our employees and have set up company certificates and job certificates.  On an employee record this allow us to ‘Copy certificates from primary job role’ and this will populate their employee record with all of the required certificates for their role.This has been working fine until we added a new certificate to the Ops Manager role.  Now the action of copying works correctly if the employee has no certificates, but fails with an error ‘Overlapping date intervals’ for anyone that has all other certificates than the new one.  I will allow this missing certificate to be added manually.Does anyone know this error and why this occurs? ThanksDarren

Customer Statement Template Issue

When creating customer statements our users either forget to enter a customer or customer range into the statement selection template, or move between templates causing the template to display correctly but not work as designed.  What happens when this occurs is that all customers that have an outstanding balance receive an e-mail statement or one prints on our printers.We have seen this issue happen regularly, so I am looking to put in place a way of stopping it happening.  I have created a blank statement template and set it as the default template, so now users must select there chosen template and enter the correct values manually.Previously users would create the statement from the customer analysis screen, and the default customer template would auto populate with the customer number.  So in this scenario it takes longer for the user.  This solution I would only want to be a temporary one.What I would like is to create an event that gives a warning that the user is about to creat

Printing - First print job each day gets stuck status waiting

We are on apps10 and the first print job each day gets stuck status waiting, so does not print.  If the same user prints the same item again, then the print job goes through fine to the printer.This seems to have been happening since we went live with IFS10.  We are using the new IFS print agent.  I have checked the logs there and the first print job does not show and the first job shown is the next print job that went through OK.  Everything else prints successfully during the day, until the next day when the first print job stays in status waiting.There is on average about 6 hours between the last print job of the previous day, to the first print on the next day.  We are planning to restart everything this evening to see if this helps, but any ideas what could cause this would be appreciated.  ThanksDarren

Purchase req authorisation with no supplier

We have recently upgraded from IFS8 to IFS10 and use purchase requisition authorisation. When we were on IFS8, if a purchase req had no supplier it was not possible to authorise it. An error message stating “Authorization denied - Supplier has to be specified”.  We have set up IFS10 the same way but now IFS will allow us to authorize the req.  There are no custom events creating this message, so I think this is a standard message.  Has the standard functionality changed in this area or is there a way I can setup IFS10 to work the same way, or would it need a custom event?

Order Processing Type

Order processing type is not working in Apps 10.The batch queue is enabled and running, but when a requisition is created on a part where the PO should automatically be created, the requisition sits at planned.  In IFS 8 the requisition is automatically released and the purchase order created.

New Crystal Quick Report

I have created a new Crystal report to be run in the client as a quick report in Apps 10.  I have followed the IFS Crystal guidelines and used the stored procedure CR_WEB_INIT. I have made sure it can be run in Crystal as IFSAPP and IFSPRINT and have granted permissions to be able to run the quick report. The issue is that when I run it in the client I am asked to provide sign on information for IFSAPP. Any ideas on how to resolve this issue would be appreciated.  Thanks!
