We are using IFSAPP10. A mistake was made when I created the company. The accounting year 2022 should have been defined has from 2021-05-01 to 2022-04-30 but was defined from 2022-05-01 to 2023-04-30.We have yet to make any transactions in this environment. How can I correct this?I have tried to change the year for each accounting period in the year but I get an error message:Where do I change the year opening period?How do I correct this mistake?
I have errors in “Distribution and Manufacturing Postings Analysis” linked to the posting control M1: “Value is missing for posting type M1 combined control type PCAG code part B in company 204.”Here is our setup for M1: Here is our setup for any of the 12xx accounts in the M1 control posting: And here is the setup for the 5550 account: Is the M1 posting control set up ok? I was trying to reconcile the fact that some accounts do not need the department and product while one account does need it. We tried with “can” for department and product for all the accounts 12xx in the M1 posting control but it did not help. Any comments are welcome.

We are moving to a brand new IFS10APP with only part of the data being migrated. I seem to have missed something in terms of permission and/or access because my user is unable to create correction invoice and credit invoice eventhough he can create regular invoice. Any pointers where the issue might be?
We have been in a brand new IFSAPP10 for 2 weeks now.The overtime automatic balance calculation does not work in PRD but worked and still works fine in PPR?????? Eventhough, I have I have compared the above between PPR and PRD and everything is the same! Any suggestions?
We are moving in a brand new IFS database. We are currently testing the process to bring from our old ERP system the open supplier invoices in the new IFS so that we can eventually pay them.So far we have been able to use the STDSIN2 external file template to import some test data. It creates the Manual Supplier Invoices under SUPPEXT Invoice type with the Invoice identity prefix being SX and in a PRELPOSTED status.If we try to create a Supplier Payment against any of the SX Invoices we do not see them at all. I even tried to changed the invoice type to SUPPINV in the external file before the import. It thus create the invoices under the SI prefix. I see the manuel supplier invoices created directly in IFS but none of the ones that I imported with the External Supplier Invoice Assistant. Am I missing a step? Any help appreciated!
We are using IFS10 UPD16. The database is hosted by IFS but we are not in a multi-tennant setup. We are alone. We are using IEE. Where am I suppose to put our company logo file? Under System parameters, I have the following:Am I suppose to just copy the logo file in the root directory of the database server? Can I put the file on the FTP site IFS has provided for the Crystal Report files?I also have the following defined in the system parameters:Should I put the logo there? Where is this E drive?
We would like to have separate payment series for ACH and CHK, both for suppliers and customers.I know I have to start by creating new payment series, then I can assign a new payment number serie to each, and also assign the appropriate payment type code to each.How do I know which payment type code refers to an ACH payment?
We have a posting issue with Supplier Payment. It is trying to post with a code part B (department) anc C (product) defined while the account is blocked for part B anc C. Looking at the Repost Supplier Item, I do not see how I can remove the value in code for department and for product.IP1 is defined with code part A only. There is no definition for the department and/or the product. Why does IFS push code part B and C onto the Supplier Payment posting?Is the only solution to put “CAN” for code part B and C on the 2119 account?
For reasons we do not understand, we have a shipment that appears in IFS as not shipped. But it has physically been shipped (not in IFS), invoiced (in IFS) and paid (in IFS).Now we have 422 parts left in the “Inventory Parts in Shipment Inventory”, all linked to shipment 94! Shipment 94 is a consolidation 21 different customer orders all meant for the same customer in one huge shipment.First thought was to simply scrap the parts for each line of the “Inventory Parts in Shipment Inventory” that should no longer be there but we get the following error message: If we try to return the part in inventory (we could then do a cycle count to 0): we get this error message:We Make-to-Order but we should at least have the one part that is supposedly still at our shipment location!What can we do to get those parts out of “Inventory Parts in Shipment Inventory”?
Is the notion of password policy exist in IFS when we use IEE? If so, where can I find it?For the time being, we do not want the authentification to be done by the active directory. Nevertheless, we would like to enforce some options to make sure the password created by users respect good practice (lower case, upper case, number, special caracters, minimum length) in password creation.
We are using IFS APP10 UPD13 and would like to send automatically an email to the customer with the customer invoice PDF attached in the email as soon as the invoice is create.I am new to IFS so bear with me. I am a quick learner but this one got me baffled. I have read a lot of threads regarding sending reports by email but none have helped me get the job done. My understanding is that when the invoice is created, the PDF is created. The PDF is then available in Report Archive.I have tried through Event Action with CREATE_INVOICE as the trigger. I get the email but I do not know what parameter to provide to get the appropriate PDF attached.I have tried through Event Action with PDF_REPORT_CREATED as the trigger and REPORT_TITLE = Invoice as the condition. I do not get any emails even though PDFs of invoices are created (visible in report archive).I have tried through Report Rules but got lost trying.Thank you in advance for your help.

We have a group of suppliers that have taxable items and non-taxable items. How can we deal with this in IFS?We are using tax structures. Can we use the bottom part (highlighted in yellow) to specify the distinction between taxable and non-taxable? Do I need to make a tax structure specific for each of my suppliers where I need taxable and non-taxable items?Any comments, pointers, suggestions are welcome.
We are using IPSAPP10 UPD16. Where can I specify to use the “letter” paper size when generating reports?We generate reports in PDF but from time to time we will print some of those reports and our users are complaining about the fact that all the PDFs correspond to the A4 paper format not letter. Since we do not use A4 paper in our printer, if the user is not carefull, the printer will wait until someone forces it to printer on letter.
What is the syntax to be able to call the parameter values into an Excel Layout? I am refering the the parameter values the end user need to enter when they call a specific report. I was asked to add those values to the Excel Layout so they know what parameters were specified when they generated the report in Excel. Those parameters are often part of the PDF basic template:
I have been able to create a very nice Excel layout for “Received - Not Yet Invoiced” in the Order Report form. I have used the Filter, the Options, the Columns etc. It works fine but the Finance department wants the data sorted. Is there any way to add something equivalent to “ORDER BY” in SQL or a multi-level sort in Excel? I have tried the multi-level sort from Excel in my layout but it does not work in the report once the data is populated. Any suggestions are welcome.
