Viewing documents in preliminary status in B2B

Part of the requirement that we have for a similar process, is that when the Document is uploaded on the b2b portal, the end client would like to approve the documentation - prior to it being released.If the contractor is uploading important compliance documentation relating to the equipment they have serviced - and make a mistake - the IFS customer would like to then reject the document. We can get around this by using supplementary revisions - but seems inefficient. The document access rules are robust enough to control access on a document by document basis - it should not matter on the document status itself on who should get access.

Enable Security Checkpoint

Hi, We have done this in our system. For me as an admin it works fine. For he end users we get an ORA-01031: insufficient privileges) error message. Does anyone know what permission we need to grant to our end users. I’ve had a look in Foundation 1 documentation and can not see anything (I may have overlooked) Thanks, Matthew For anyone still searching for an answer to the error - we found that FND_ENDUSER needed to be granted directly to the end user - rather that in a permission hierarchy.

@Chriswharton22 You can disable this from the Site: Or if you are using Workflow Config - you can disable the auto time: Hi Vinu, the issue we have with Aurena, is that it ignores the setting in the site setup page. I logged a case with IFS and it is fixed in a later release

How to use text as a parameter in Custom Menus?

There is a better way to achieve this using external search. as an example: ifsapf:frmAvailabilityPlanning?EXTERNAL_SEARCH=CONTRACT%3D{&CONTRACT}%26PART_NO%3D123456If we break this down into the relevant elements:ifsapf:windowname?EXTERNAL_SEARCH= This sets the window name and the external search CONTRACT FIELD_NAME of the field on the destination screen %3D is the encoded value for the = sign {&CONTRACT} is the name of the field in the current screen where to take data from, inside braces (these characters are NOT encoded) %26 is the encoded value for the & sign used to add a second parameter to the search PART_NO FIELD_NAME of the field on the destination screen %3D is the encoded value for the = sign 123456 Is the fixed value of the part. In your example it may be something like this ifsapf:frmPurOrdPaymentSchedule_Cust?EXTERNAL_SEARCH=ORDER_NO%3D{&CF$_ORD}%26CHG_ORDER_NO%3D*

Clocking Functionality

Is there a way to disable work task clockings? It seems like when I report time on a work assignment from Aurena or mWo, it creates a work task clocking. But if I just do a Time report in IEE, it doesn’t create a work task clocking. How do I disable work task clocking in Aurena and mWo? Hi Curtis, did you manage to find a method to disable clocking through Aurena? We are having the same issue where clocking isnt set to required, and doesnt start in EE, but in Aurena we are being forced to use clocking. We only want to use the “Report Time” function. I have thought about a workaround where open clockings are deleted on a schedule - ive tested this and we still get the clock out window in Aurena, but it doenst seem to have a functional effect on closure of the assignment and task.

How to fix errors in Job Certificates?

I would imagine (need to confirm) that this is showing you the validity of the certificates. You posted this 18/01/2022. The red cross line is an expired certificate. The valid to date is less than the current date. The green crosses are indicating that the certificate is not valid yet. This is due to the Valid from date being in the future when compared to the current date

MRO - Customer Owned Material on Task Card

@Chriswharton22 May I ask you for which customer you work for just to understand the background of the demand ? Hi Bertrand, this is for an aerospace customer where the task cards need to be unique across customers due to differences in maintenance manuals. We will need to order various parts from each customer depending on the MX and make sure that the ownership is set when any requisitions are created on the release of the MO.

Hi @Bertrand Dousset, Thank you for the reply. We use Apps 10 UPD 10 and are upgrading to UPD14.It appears that the functionality gap has been resolved in IFS Cloud, we have a heavy customisation to resolve the issue at the moment but it needs some more thinking through. As you say, the task cards are designed to be generic, however the same could be said for Work Task Templates where the functionality for customer owned materials exists already. I will have to look at some alternative customisations to make this functionality work better than it currently does. many thanks

Apps 8 - Custom Task Schedule

Hi @Chriswharton22, Try below expression instead and see if it works: LAST_DAY(sysdate+1) Assuming you need to get the last day of each month. Next execution date is set after each execution, so adding 1 to the current date would make sure the next execution date is set to next month. Any expression that returns a valid date is supposed to work, but some expressions may not work in older versions of the app due to limitations. Hope this helps! Service and Maintenance timeclock and WO clocking

Hello, there is a site level setting “Clock in Automatically” on the maintenance tab of the Site window. This might be worth looking at. Clockings in maintenance are still outside of the time clock functionality from my experience and testing of this on a project recently.

Aurena - Purchase Requisition on Work Order

Hi All, I managed to find this functionality under a different screen called Maintenance Purchase Requisition. This wasn't clear or in the expected place for work order planning. This appears under Work Order execution in the Aurena menu structure

PM Action - Maintenance Plan

I have checked your case : 1. Create a PM Action 2. Create three Works with dependencies and different times (1, 2 and 0.5 hours) in the Work List 3. Then RMB and re-generate maintenance plan 4. Then go to maintenance plan tab and look the Planned Finish date. When you do it, it happend what you describe. Then I have selected the line and RMB and select Work and Work List, I have seen that it calculates the dependencies, then the works starts at 9:00 and fisnish at 11:30. My recommendation is to open a ticket with support, because it could be a bug. I agree with Gonzalo, i have tested this in Apps 10 and found that the planned finish date is only being calculated from the first Job and Work List duration. When a work order is generated from the plan, the correct planned start and planed finish are shown in line with the durations of the work tasks.

Grant Access to Aurena Page Designer

hello @Chriswharton22 , PAGE DESIGNER is available to users who have FNDADMIN permission set granted. Could you please check that? Cheers, Lakmali Thanks all, we did find that giving the FND Admin permission set gave us what we wanted. Is this controlled through the ADMINISTRATOR system privilege? As a test, we copied the FND_ADMIN role to look at what precisely gave access to the functionality. We ended up with FND_ADMIN and FND_ADMIN_COPY as permission sets. Without changing any settings, the user could access page designer with FND_ADMIN assigned to them, but they could not access page designer when FND_ADMIN_COPY was assigned.

Mobile Work Order Configuration

The Purchase Requisition functionality in MWO is embedded within the Work Order process. You cannot raise a standalone Purchase Requisition. So to raise a Purchase Requisition you will need a Work Order transferred to the device in the state Accepted or higher to do this. Hi James, thankyou for the information, i was not originally aware of where the functionality would sit in IFS. Form my testing of this, i can raise material requests in this way, but not PR’s. Im currently checking the design of the form but it is going slow on me.
