The hard thing about this new Shop Floor Reports is there is no easy way to calculate efficiency (Actual hours by employee/qty completed by employee vs. planned hours/planned qty). In the previous SFR module there were these calculations. Are there any plans to add something like this back [user=236]Björn Hultgren[/user] ?
[user=236]Björn Hultgren[/user] It was actually in the Operation Summary screen. There was a folder for analysis that was not completely brought forward. Since you can loosely see the Employee that reported the qty in the Created By Employee column, but you can't directly connect that to the time reporting by the employee, you do get close, but it's a very complicated sql (so I've heard I'm not a SWE). Also, I did create an Idea for connecting the employee to the qty reported 4 years ago but it was unfortunately rejected by R&D. I suppose I could log another idea, but the initial rejection took a bit of the wind from my sail, I assume you can relate. @Lasanthi - Thanks for this, however, it only works with Card Driven Execution. If you leave the In button to open, then it doesn’t do the translation. I’ve been working with using prox card readers instead of barcodes and it’s been problematic, especially over in the Shop Floor Workbench, the Employee number is not allowed to be in “Card Driven” mode so it doesn’t work.Any thoughts? Do you think this should be raised as a case with Support?
Hi, This was part of the original design, but it did not work out that it made it in scope, so unfortunately it wasn’t fully developed. There is some hope that it will come in the future, but for now, there’s really no way, like you are saying, to limit what expenses they can see just based on the Project (shortname, etc). You could use a custom event to block them from approving expenses that the are not the project manager for, as an example, but that wouldn’t keep them from seeing most expenses. You could restrict to only give them access to the Org Codes that would be reporting expenses, that would limit it some. One other thing to try is using the “Exclusive Registration” check box on an organization, and have the employee’s report their expenses to that Org Code only. I am not sure if that would work, but that’s my only other work around thought. You would need to assign that Org Code to all the employee’s that would be reporting expenses on that project, so it’s not a grea

Hi Karro: The exception of the first sick day, you can add the absence in the increment in a Wage Code List, and then set the absence parameters for the Absence Wage Code for “Increments” set to “Increments for Absence”. The catch is the first sick day. If you can use a different wage code for the first sick day then that would solve it. Let me know if I can help you out further. Kevin
Hi @Marcelle NG and @Rasika Lakmal : The link is indeed broken, but I tested as well as the customer and we verified that Matrix Organizations will not work as there is no Structure ID in the columns to choose from. A caveat to this is that we both tested in an upgrade and RACE environment. I still don’t think it will work, but I suppose it should be tested and validated by someone in a fresh installation where there is only a Matrix organization set up. That may work, but again my instinct is telling me that it won’t. Thank you for checking and inquiring.

Hi John: You are right in the fact that you will need to press the “In” or the “Out” button to activate the Time Clock. There is a setting, however, that you can keep the dialog box open for a certain number of seconds so the next person in line doesn’t have to press it, but it’s been my experience that only confuses matters if the employee has to check first to see if it’s still active. As far as I’m aware, there is no way for the Time Clock to read a scan of a badge (barcode, prox card, etc) without first pressing the appropriate button to “activate” the transaction. Hi Jiri:Yes it is possible to set up someone to enter and confirm expenses for others. You don’t use a “Self-Access” Attribute/Role, you set up an “Access” Attribute and Role. I believe the out of the box attributes from R&D, but you may need to adjust the Old and New values by the Right Mouse option to “Set Old Values” and “Set New Values”.It sounds like you are on the right path, just a few adjustments. Hi Jiri:When you are working in Supervisor Access, you can assign someone to a Position or just give them an Access Role. If you assign them a Position, that technically means you are giving them that Position and the access/authority that comes with it (Ie. just as if you created them as an employee in the company with that position). So, they will show up as the employee’s manager and have the same rights. If you only assign them a Role, then they have access to the employees in that Company/Org Unit, but are not technically a manager of the employee, and you can assign a different Role ID than the one connected to the Position in Position Access.Glad to hear you found your answer, but just wanted to get back to you with that information for future reference.

FYI, after going in to the custom fields screen to enable the row keys for those tables and then re-deploying the metadata, things started working it appears.
Hi Will:I learned that the Power Connector has been added to the IFS Cloud version, but there are not plans to backport it to Apps10 unfortunately.
If nothing else, there could be a parameter that can be set to default to list view or table view. Good idea.
