Thank you for the info. I have security question related to the Excel tool. Is the Tool accessing the Oracle Database directly from Excel to write/update/Delete the tables data or is it using the API calls just like the IFS software interface the users are seeing when interacting within IFS?
Hi, At a customer they use it to load opportunities in CRM. It builds the heading and the part lines. This is due to the fact that header and line info are in the same Excel row. Not only is it used to import new information, also updating the data is done in the same way. In this situation, the responsible key user of an opportunity uses Excel Migration Tool only for their own opportunities. Another situation is to load supplier for purchase part price lists. One Excel is used to retrieve the open lines (using search icon), the lines get a valid until date and are updating the data in IFS. The second Excel migration job is used to generate new price list lines. Works great and highly efficient. There is also a situation that sales prices are loaded. The downside is that there is no audit trail when someone has used this tool. Using a standard migration job, the last usages is reported in the information of the migration job and there is the history when several times the same job was
Hmm interesting. I did end up with some positive backlog, but i still don't understand why the Actual backlog shows negative in period 11 year 2020 after adding the forecast and operations plan.can you help elaborate on why it would be like that a bit more please?Please see snapshot below.

I have solved this error.IFS Aurena is uncapable to use usernames with more than 15 characters, which caused an internal function error to result in a null value return. Reducing the Usernames to 15 or below solved the error.
Hello @william.klotz ,We are planning to send Purchase Orders from IFS 10 to IFS 9 which generates Customer Orders if accepted in the Incoming Customer Orders section, then send Confirmations back to IFS 10 from IFS 9.We would follow the same logic as Inter company/Site transactions if you are familiar with them with the exception that we would use 2 separate IFS Instances at this point. (i know it is not ideal but am looking at options to supportthe users)I would expect there to be minor differences in either table or column names.

Thank you @Saman K, this sounds like our system has a bug that needs to be addressed which might have been fixed in UPD14 already.
I would be interested in seeing an answer on this too.I am trying to do the same by trying to get a dropdown for ISO_UNIT for Units of Measure in another table for the Excel Migration.
@Curious_User Were you able to solve this with an event action? I'm on the brink of looking into such a situation (other assistant page however)? In my situation it is for an IFS10 environment, so no BPA available. I was not, since page designer is not supported i stopped looking into Aurena, the Software is still not mature enough. In IFS 10 EE you can make them mandatory as its normal functionality. We will stick to IFS 10 for the foreseeable future before considering a move to Aurena due to the lack of major functions and user QOL features.
I have solved this myself.
The excel tool does not handle date formatting very well and required that the base field formatting is being used. e.g. using >'01-JAN-23' for dates bigger than Jan 1st 2023, in addition surrounding it with single quotes. Lastly if only a single date is used then no quotes are needed.

@Curious_User When creating Engineering Parts it automatically creates a part number if you keep the Part Number field blank. If you fill out the Part Number field then Part will create with the part number you want. @AanHGTS, can this function be turned off?

If these invalid objects aren’t cleared might need to create a ticket and investigate with the related vertical since there were no issues occurred during the IFS Development Update. @dominikdurrer were you able to map the Identify and person properly? we are trying to use SCIM with 23R2 and Entra ID (Azure AD) and we get random results in both fields.
