Hi all, I am currently in the middle of creating a simple migration job to update a Price List. I have created a .csv file that contains the 5 columns of data required for the import. This currently works fine. The second migration job takes care of the copy from the custom table containing the data from the 5 columns and imports into the sales_price_list_part table. It is here that I am having trouble. 1 of the 5 columns is data destined for a custom field within the sales_price_list_part table. Because of this I have selected the custom field view in my method list. By default it selects the standard (non custom) version of the API. In this instance I only want to import new rows. When I navigate to Source Mapping it has now auto-populated the available fields from the CFV. As you can see I have all the relevant defaults added etc as well as the source columns linked. Importantly please note that Pos 260 contains the CF$_CUST_LEAD_TIME field which I have linked to LEAD_TIME.
Hi all, Under Project → Tasks we have noticed that the LoV for the Responsible field shows all Person’s that exist in our system (even those that have left over the years).Looking at the person record there is no way that I can see to obsolete or make a person inactive to stop it showing in this LoV. There are other areas such as procurement where you can make the buyer obsolete/inactive to stop them showing in such lists.I took a guess that there might be a system definition to do this much like in the way you can hide a middle name of a person but no luck there.Does anyone have any ideas to a way to do this for the Person?RegardsNathan
Good afternoon all,The business has asked if I can add a function to allow the employees to view their remaining holiday entitlement (balance) for the year on the (shop floor) Time Clock screens. The balance option (above) which is available out of the box provides the balance as of today (Current Balance) which is correct however what I need it to show is the Available Balance at the end of the year as they may have booked holiday past today. Only by scrolling right through the dates to 31/12/2021 can I see a true reflection of what holiday days are remaining.TodayEnd of yearWhile this can be done it is somewhat laborious if you want to check your final balance at the beginning of the year. Even being able to amend the date field would have been acceptable but seems to be read-only.What I would like to do is create a button that instead of picking up the Current Balance can retrieve the Available Balance as found on the Current Balance Screen? Hi all,I currently have an issue that was highlighted on a report where some very old orders (some back as far as 2012) are fully closed and reported however have an outstanding WIP value. Shop Order - Detail Shop Order Costs As the outwork was fully completed, the order received and the product sold there is nothing I seem to be able to do in relation to clearing this WIP value.Hopefully some of you clever people have an idea on how I might proceed to dealing with this?RegardsNathan
As the title suggests, we have an issue where our sales team have been through the usual process of Picking/Delivery/Delivery Confirming our sales quantities however in this instance it seems that 3 out of 4 were delivery confirmed. The system then carried out the next process of creating a customer invoice from this confirmation and created an invoice for 3 out of the 4. This has left 1 item behind. If I go to Delivery Confirmation of Customer Orders (below), right-click on the line and select Delivery Confirmation the line disappears. If I press F2 it comes back again. The issue I believe is that the line is at the status Invoiced/Closed. As you can see above, delivered is 4 and invoiced is 3I am now seemingly stuck between a rock and a hard place. As the line is closed and a customer invoice has been created this limits what I can do somewhat. An RMA is great if the line has been invoiced but this last one hasn’t yet been confirmed, let alone invoiced so this doesn’t seem to be an
Hi all,We have experienced an issue where the visualizer tool tip isn’t updating correctly (sometimes!)An example from some time ago shows that our planner went to the visualizer and hovered over the relevant part of the bar and got this. As you can see the Op Load on Week and Total Operation Load show 5.2The times on the shop order had been amended prior to this check (a day before) to reflect a new Op Load on Week and Total Operation Load of 4.5 so was confused as to why the above was still showing the wrong figures. He had logged out of IFS and logged back in fresh the next day so it wasn’t a refreshing issue. When he had manually run a Schedule Shop Order from the RMB menu on the shop order header it then updated the tooltip to reflect the new time. The odd thing is that every time I try to replicate the problem it seems to work fine without me having to schedule the shop order however I have had other people report the same issue (very intermittently) so I am wondering if anyon

Afternoon all, I have come across an issue that I am sure has plagued others before. Way back in the heady days of 7.5 being implemented the business made a decision to opt out of a numerical ID system for our Person and User ID records. Instead we opted for <First Initial><Surname> e.g. NTAYLOR. The problem we have is that one of our users got married and now the Person ID and User ID do not reflect her now taken name and has asked if we can update the Person ID/User ID to correctly reflect her new surname. As these are somewhat key fields within the system I am pretty sure there isn’t a standard way of achieving this as it would need to flush the entire system to update everything that was ever posted with these ID’s. If anyone knows of a way how to do this or (for the IFS employees) if a data fix exists for this kind of change it would be interesting to know! Regards Nathan
Morning all, We have an issue where we have certain suppliers who “chance it” and send us material that they have finished early (sometimes months early). Obviously we don’t want to be taking on this stock until we actually need it however as some of it is sent by courier i.e. FEDEX, UPS etc we get the courier dropping the item off, takes a quick signature and then they are on their way. It is only after manual inspection of the delivery later that we realise that we have something we didn’t yet need. I know what you are all thinking. just tell the supplier to stop doing it! (apparently they don’t listen) For audit obviously we have to register the purchase order arrival but after this we have 3 options. Leave the stock as registered and keep stored in a goods-in location Return for Credit Return for Rework The only one that works in the way they want is Return for Rework in so far as it halts the payment, creates a return note and upon it coming back we can just re-registe
Hi all (me again!) Off the back of my previous topic and @RavinduS help I have managed to import my price list however I have hit a different issue. If I enter a sales price manually on the Sales Price List → Part Based tab (and press tab/save) it will auto populate the following fields. Calc Sales Price Sales Price Incl Tax Base Price Base Price Inc Tax When creating the migration job the following fields (with flag MIU) are required to have a value which normally are auto-populated off of the Sales Price being entered however if I don’t enter a default value the migration job error’s out demanding that the field has a value. ORA-20124: Error.NULLVALUE: Field [SALES_PRICE_INCL_TAX] is mandatory for Sales Price List Part and requires a value. For now I have entered ‘0’ into the default value field to get around the error for the following fields. BASE_PRICE BASE_PRICE_INCL_TAX PERCENTAGE_OFFSET AMOUNT_OFFSET SALES_PRICE SALES_PRICE_INCL_TAX The downside is that having a default val
