Make the changes in form level and apply it to base profile Conditional field Custom event ( my favorite as it can be applied globally and have more control since read only means you don't want user to change old value )

Hi @ChaMylesC I am not into technical too much. however root cause for this issue is mainly due to an incorrect report name. @johnw66 had posted a thread regarding this and he was able to fix it. IFS feedback for our issue was “ Reason:Dictionary_SY_LU got corrupted. Root Cause:DBNames too long in X instant invoice report (Customer Developed Report)Permanent Fix: Correcting the X F Instant Invoice Report while giving the DB names less than 30 characters” Even though thread is related to conditional field, your query builder get affected due to this issue.
@nimesh Not sure whether it’s possible to keep the tab available but make it non editable for end user. An expert will comment on that.However you can approach this by using an custom event since you want pass a value to PO and further control it using “Fnd_Session_API.Get_Fnd_User” This way you can have separate authorization/control on custom event level and allow it only for required users. Further in PO, purchase group fetch from purchase part part basic data. if you update it, user will not be able to change it and record will pass to PO automatically
i added the user group to the series , and i run the transfer program , but still nothing new. Have you added default type as “Yes” in the voucher series. I believe you added the group in 2018 period ?

Have you used IALs or get methods in the query ? if yes, check whether you have granted the access for IALs

What do you mean by “Has 5 or more transactions” ? You can look up from Inventory Transaction History to get the transaction count

Hi Adarsh There is a standard solution given by IFS where set the security to Location level. This can be enabled for each sites in Sites configuration. Once you enabled it you have to configure edit access for every users unless they require only read access This must be from a specific version of 10 and above, not available in V9. Not sure when it started. It must be a modification even. As far as I know, there’s no such functionality in any version of IFS Applications. @Tj12, it looks like useful functionality though. Any chance you could share a (redacted) spec? Oho, I thought it’s a standard functionality . Sorry anmise I don’t have any specs since we are IFS customer. @AdarshThen I must revoked my comment and custom event will be your last chance.

Few months ago we also faced this kind of issue in the system, Along with query builder problem we had another problem where you get below error msg when you try to enter conditional field, IFS said that the problem was with Dictionary_SY_LU and they fixed it
I am not a developer either, but looking at your IF statement... IF ( '&NEW:CONTRACT' <> '&DEF_USER' ) OR ( '&NEW:CONTRACT' in 'MULTI_') I can’t see that ‘&DEF_USER is defined within the code (&DEF is), and I also think that you need NOT IN ‘MULTI_’ to make the logic work. This doesn’t explain why your code works for group 1 users and not group 2 though! hope this helps and I’ve subscribed as this is a question we get asked for frequently... Go to Scheduled Database Tasks, Create New On the new window, give the task a Schedule Name Set the Task Name as shown - Start Add Prt to Price Lists Then set your frequency and time, you should try to avoid your peak times of the day for other transactions. The Parameters set as shown would just perform the update on all parts - that is the % setting Calculate the date to make sure the next execution is scheduled, then save the Task Schedule and make sure it is Active Hi Shawn That task is not available.
I see, yes, if you need to run this more often than daily, then agree it could be too slow, just depends on how you want to control this. If you want to continue with the current solution, you can schedule the Update base prices as a database task like this. We have this one running for a couple of years. But scheduling daily will be a problem since cost can be changed within the day due to multiple orders. @n-warrior Currently we have implemented this method but there are some problem with using it. since whenever cost get changed, you have to process “Update base prices” and “Update price list from base prices” manually in order to get the correct price. Do you know a way to schedule these ?

However it still give active autonomous transaction detected error but after putting COMMIT command into the event action, I didn’t get any errors Any Advice ?
