APPS9 UD17 failed updating AS, MWS directory missing

Hi @CUCSOLUTIONS ,Please check all log files and follow below steps before run installation Check whether there is a mws_bak folder inside IFS_HOME -> mw_home. Please restore ifs_home using backup Check if there are any files in following folder: <<IFS_HOME>>\wls_domain\<<INSTANCE_NAME>>\pending. If it is empty you can proceed with deployment however on finding anything present, please make sure to run reconfiguration in installer and validate that all content of pending folder is removed. Check the inventory.xml(Location - C:\Program Files\Oracle\Inventory\ContentsXML) is not corrupted. if it is corrupted restore the oracle inventory file from backups Restart the VM and start the all services and reconfiguration finally do the application testThanks,Kalana

Hi Kalana, I just had a quick look in CORE database and there’s a LU named ‘CounselingPlan’ in module ‘TRNDEV’. Any scripts which gave that error ? Best Regards, Prabhavi. Hi Kalana, There should be some script which is referring this non existing LU. Check the error log and identify the script which is causing this error. But there is a file ‘CompanyPersAssign’ in Person module which is referring this 'CounselingPlan'.This was in previous UPD11 as well.but there was no issue.Best Regards,Kalana

Do you need this object connection? If not, does this error go away if you remove it? Hi @durette , Thanks for the answer. We try this in our internal DEV and BNT environments. Hi Kalana, During a recent UPD12 installation, I received same type of an error. !!!Error deploying file install.tem at 24-SEP-21 12:39:14 !!!Error occurred while executing Plsql Block BEGIN Object_Connection_SYS.Refresh_Active_List__(5); END; ORA-20105: Assert.IS_LOGICAL_UNIT: "DocumentContainer" is non existing logical unit. ORA-06512: at "IFSAPP.ERROR_SYS", line 140 ORA-06512: at "IFSAPP.ERROR_SYS", line 341 ORA-06512: at "IFSAPP.ASSERT_SYS", line 844 ORA-06512: at "IFSAPP.OBJECT_CONNECTION_SYS", line 146 ORA-06512: at "IFSAPP.OBJECT_CONNECTION_SYS", line 1947 ORA-06512: at "IFSAPP.OBJECT_CONNECTION_SYS", line 1947 ORA-06512: at "IFSAPP.OBJECT_CONNECTION_SYS", line 1621 ORA-06512: at line 2 When checked it in object connections window, this is how it looked, The issue is, it is existing in all the customer internal environments as well. Hi @Kalana Rathnayake, As per the knowledge search results when you encounter this error, They have recommended to re-build the UPD and then to run the installation. Before the execute step as you have mentioned, all servers should be stopped using “stop_all_servers.cmd”. Note: Make sure to restore the backups. You can refer G2140483-A-700 for more information. Hi @Kalana Rathnayake , I would like to add few information to @Bhagya Wickramasinghe . During the installation, install_tem file will check whether there are any disabled rowkeys available via Install_Tem_SYS.Disabled_Rowkey_Exist. Please check whether it returns 1. Also in Apps 9 in default rowkey is enabled. But if there are any changes made into the Database this error might arise. Also there is a Pre-installation script PRE_FNDBAS_UpdateRowkeyColumns.sql involves with rowkey update. Kindly check whether you have executed it before the installation. As for the case G2140483-A, while applying the update I did not get this Pre-script listed in Installation Instructions document. Hope this will help. Enable activity set called “TouchApp TimeTracker.
