Travel Cost Model

Hi Andy, not quite - you have maximum travel home set to 2 hours so a resource could be up to 2 hours away from their home location, but your requirements says only 1 hour from their home location. If you want your resource to be a maximum of 1 hour from hour and no travel in between jobs is to exceed 1 hour then both maximum journey time and maximum travel home should be set to 1 hour. There is no need to set a travel penalty as well unless you want to specify more granular behaviour.The isochrones below show how far my resource can travel 1 and 2 hours from his home (2 hours being the outer circle). They are straight line travels so not realistic but the point is still the same :Regards,Tom

Travel Cost Model

Thanks Tom, I actually mistyped, I should have said a “Travel time from start location” of 2 hours , and a “Journey time” of 1 hour between jobs. So from what you wrote, it looks like I have what I need to allow for further travel for the first activity, while slightly clustering the calls from then on. I will begin to reign the 1 hour “Journey time” if validation goes well in order to further promote a scheduling behavior of keeping all tasks for the day in one local area. Hi - yes what you have right now will work then, the travel penalties you’ve defined don’t add anything though so you can remove those.

PSO cancelled Job on the Gantt is missing despite spent working time

Hi Markus,When you cancel the task (presumably in FSM) what status are you setting it to in PSO or is the activity being deleted from PSO ?If you update the status to incomplete then any time spent on that task will still be visible but it will be clear to the users of the PSO workbench that the activity was not able to be fully completed.Kind Regards,Tom

PSO Reopening Assigned Calls

Hi,The only time PSO will change the status of an activity automatically is via the LogOffUncommit rule. This is one of the dispatch service’s commit rules. If you are defining the rules in the ARP then you can effectively switch this off by setting the value to 0: Thanks,Tom

That’s an interesting question. I’m not aware of a setting on PSO but one thing you could check is the user being specified in the Activity_Status update being passed back to cloud on the workbench broadcast (Activity_Status.reason).Thanks,Tom

Need PSO Division to Display for Scheduling/Resources

Hi, You can link a division to a resource in the ARP. If send is enabled for the Division then it will transfer to the scheduling workspace as a region. It isn’t possible to display regions in a list because a resource can belong to >1 region however you can create filters based on regions which may help ?Regards,Tom

I agree with Roman, the Requirement attribute on Teams is optional and cannot be made mandatory in the UI.

Hi Andy,Difficult to say for sure without seeing the data but it will because the system can’t generate the correct time, perhaps the lat/long of one of the locations is outside the bounds of the HTM you are using?Regards,Tom

Export Modelling Data in PSO

Hi George,You can take snapshots of the ARP data in the audit workspace and you can also broadcast ARP data using the BroadcastARP* parameter settings.Hope that helps,Tom

I take it the exceptions are enabled in PSO, so you can see them in the workbench?If so then you could check the data being broadcast to FSM to ensure it contains the schedule exceptions.

I think Alex’s suggestion is most likely here, if you aren’t sending a load each day the current time (sent on the change files) will eventually exceed the end of the scheduling window

Hi Shamik,Yes, as I said the issue is most probably that you are not sending a load each morning. If you don’t do this the scheduling end date isn’t updated.Regards,Tom

User permissions and dataset disappear after PSO upgrade

Hi Dilushkumar, it’s difficult to know what happened without knowing the full story here. Perhaps the upgrade process wasn’t followed correctly? When are performing a major upgrade you need to export and import the system parameters from the previous version.I see this was a while ago now so hopefully you managed to resolve it ?Thanks,Tom

PSO Does not update Status beyond "Travelling" when Database Task is used

Hi Kesavan,I can’t help on the IFS Cloud side but you can check if the status updates are being received correctly in PSO by checking the Audits page in the archive workspace.If the status is being sent to PSO you will see a CHANGE file in the audits containing the XML to update the status. I suspect this either isn’t reach PSO or the XML is incorrectly formatted.Regards,Tom

Broadcast manager

Hi Rajasekhar,The SBM (Scheduling Broadcast Manager) is an essential service in most PSO deployments. Remember that PSO is not the master system for activity related data so it is usually needed to send details of the Plan produced by PSO to the external system. This could be a 3rd party system such as SAP for example or an IFS product such as IFS Cloud. There are different types of broadcasts with the most common being:DSE Plan broadcasts (schedule data) Appointment Broadcasts containing appointment offers (when Appointment Booking is being used) Dispatch broadcasts (activities suggested for committing to resources based on the rules defined in PSO).Hope that helps,Tom

Does the FSM-PSO integration support appointment template offer expiry window?

Hi Ross,You’ve worked it out correctly, it hard codes the timeout to 5 minutes on the appointment request so the offer expiry window set on the appointment template in PSO is ignored. As far as I know it isn’t possible to change this.Regards,Tom

INVALID_CLOUD_BROADCAST_TYPE: ARP

HI! How should we configure broadcast (ARP or scheduling) to return values to a file on disk? I followed the documentation and the only thing I got was that the system returned this error: INVALID_CLOUD_BROADCAST_TYPE and the explanation of this error is as follows: The data contains a broadcast that is not supported in the cloud.
