Hello, my company wants to do what they call a two-way match for blanket PO lines for services. Right now the buyer or AP has to contact shipping to receive in a monthly PO line for a number of services. I saw this post-Service PO - 2way match | IFS Community but I don’t understand how you can avoid receipts-how does the PO line/PO close? I’ve been testing out the option to have AP do the receipt themselves from the manual supplier invoice. Has anyone else tried this out?Change supplier to PO Ref Only on the supplier matching tab (currently set to PO reference and receipt reference). Go to manual supplier invoice and create new. Enter in PO, invoice number In the line section, right-click and select Copy Unreceived PO lines. Delete any rows that are not needed. PO quantity will be displayed on the line-change if necessary. The invoice will be in Preliminary status. Enter the Gross Amount or Net Amount for the Invoice if this differs from the default and save. Select one or more
Hi, we had a no-part PO received and then found out the cost was actually lower. The buyer reopened and corrected the PO lines so that the invoice can be matched (invoice has not been entered yet). Finance is asking me-how does the general ledger expense account get corrected to the new amounts?Am I correct that there is no other way to correct the costs on the GL from the purchase transaction ARR-NONINV other than cancelling the receipt and re-doing it?
Hello, I was wondering if anyone else had ever encountered this error. I’ve never seen it before and we are heavy users of IFS time clock and deviation days. We are on Apps10 update 7.The employee worked from 4AM to 2:30 yesterday, in normal and out normal clockings from the time clock terminal. Result was calculated normally. He tried to add one of our deviation days to yesterday for “no lunch” to add back 30 minutes and got this vague “unpredicted IFS APPLICATION error” on the interval tab. The Result tab was wiped out and calc status was Closed. We tried recalculating, did not help. He then removed the deviation day, the result tab recalculated. Tried to add the deviation day again and the error returned. Having trouble reproducing this in our test environment.
Hello, we have two buyers with identical security. When one duplicates a supplier for part to add a new supplier/part connection, the inspection info tab is duplicated correctly (receive case, inspection code, etc) after saving. When the other buyer does the same thing on the same part, the inspection info tab doesn’t copy everything like the receive case from the original record, it reverts back to the default receive into arrival when 9 times out of 10 it should be receive into arrival, inspect at arrival. She is now forced to check the tab and make manual corrections after saving, which proves she does have security to the tab. She says this has been going on for months. We are on Apps10 UPD17 as of May.We’ve done the following and it’s still failing:-We did all of these steps I found on a community post from @Yasas Kasthuriarachchi -checked her screen properties, and they look normal-when signed on as her in the dev environment, it works so I can’t reproduce the problem. -clea
Hello, we have some parts that use MS level 1 manual forecasts in conjunction with project planned netting groups. A planner noticed today that two out of the 10 parts had a "last run date" of today's date even though no one manually ran MS and there's no scheduled task for it. The remainder of the parts had dates in the past as you can see. PMRP is run daily for all projects.I see in the background job details for PMRP that running MS is a step at the very end. My question is does that last run date on MSL1 part indicate when MS ran or when it actually changed something? I’m wondering if the two parts in question had some supply/demand changes and MS had to recalculate and the other parts did not require recalculation? We are on APPS10 and we recently installed UPD17.Thanks for any insight you can provide.
Hi, one of the biggest frustrations our sales department has with IFS is the inability to change the order type on a customer order once the header is saved. The order type is used in various management reporting so if they select the wrong one, they have to create a new order to fix it and cancel the old one. I spotted this statement in the help but that is not true even in a planned state. It can be changed if you have not saved the header yet. What is the reason for making this field non-editable? I know it controls the order flow, but I would think you could change it when it's in a planned state? Are there any plans to make it editable in the future? We are working on upgrading to Apps10, update 17.Thanks.
Hello, we have a situation where our AP group entered some write-off supplier invoices in error. Their practice is to enter manual invoices that net to 0 and they are in state PaidPosted in closed accounting periods. They would now like to undo those invoices and enter new ones for payment. I am aware of supplier payment rollbacks, but I’m assuming that method wouldn’t work with a 0 value invoice since no payment was generated. Is it possible to undo these invoices and enable the receipts to be matched normally? Also, is there a better method of doing write-offs? Thanks.
Hi, we have PO change orders (POCOs) set as optional on our sites. However, when one is created, all changes must be done through a change order, including dates. They occasionally need to edit the planned delivery date on the POCO screen but it does not appear there. Have any additional dates been added to the POCO screen in IFS cloud or are there plans to add it?Thanks.
We are upgrading to IFS10 update 7 and are using IEE (not Aurena). We would like to replace the login page stock photo on the left with our logo so it looks more personalized for our company. However, I’ve tried a couple of different size JPEG images and asked our DBA to replace the photo in our test environment and it appears really huge and distorted and won’t display fully on the left hand side. The smaller image at the top looks fine.Has anyone else attempted this? If so, what size and type of image file did you use? Any advice would be appreciated.Thanks!
Hello, we are on Apps10 and I have been looking for a good definition of what the background job Light Cleanup does. Ours runs every 10 minutes and has for years. The job is listed in the “Configure scheduled tasks” page in the help but it only lists a few tasks that it performs. We currently have another job called “Background job cleanup” running nightly but this job may be obsolete and Light Cleanup deletes old background jobs after our 7 day interval defined in system parameters.We recently ran into a problem with light cleanup ending in error due to a problem with a materialized view, so it appears it recompiles materialized views with errors also. We are on Apps10, update 7. We have had an intermittent error that occurs when searching in the Routing screen that has been occurring since we went live in December. Because it is intermittent it is very difficult to troubleshoot and extremely frustrating for the users. Frequently users are just searching for a few records, but it hangs for a long time, and returns this error:A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond. We are new on Apps10 update 7 as of Nov. 30th. I have received complaints from the shop floor production areas and QA that people are receiving this error in various screens and they are immediately kicked out. We have noticed this in creating an MRB case from a shop order and then others have said simply using the shop floor workbench. I noticed another post stating it might be tied to the IFS Time Clock, which we do use also. Our DBA thought it was related to our security checkpoint setups but none of the screens where this occurred have security checkpoint enabled. Has anyone else experienced this? Could this be related to our idle timeout value? I’m wondering what it’s trying to re-authenticate.
Hello, IFS has added search capability in the column chooser, and the very handy “go to column” right mouse option. One place where it would be nice to search is in the search dialog, Configure Search Fields. Are there any plans to add the “search” option at the top of the available and show columns?
