Cloud Scheduled Report Equivalent to #TODAY# in Parameter

When scheduling an IFS Operational report like the MC Customer Ledger Detailed Age Analysis which has a date parameter that’s typically set to today’s date (Date of Analysis), is it possible to increment the date with each run in Aurena 22R Cloud environments?  In IEE, the use of #TODAY#  in the parameter is allowed.  This allows the parameter to increment with each scheduled run.  In Aurena 22R Cloud, when choosing “Today” on the calendar, the current date is populated and continues to be the date that the scheduled report uses when it runs.  Is there a workaround for this when scheduling Out-of-the-Box IFS Operational reports?

IFS Report Designer - Last Page Footer Size

I’m using IFS Report Designer 20.02.0002 in an Apps 10 environment.  If I have a different Page Footer on my Last Page, can that Page Footer be a different size than the one on my Repeating Page?  I’d like my Repeating Page Footer to be 1.5 cm and my Last Page Footer to be 3 cm. The tool allows me to do this by initially setting the Repeating Page Footer to 3 cm.  The 3 cm is defaulted into the size for the Last Page Footer if I open the Page Settings and then close it.  I can then go back to my Repeating Page and switch the size to 1.5 cm.  I’ve confirmed the sizes are evident in the xml for the rdl when viewing in Notepad++.The issue is when I deploy and print the report, it looks to me like the Last Page Footer is trimmed down to 1.5 cm of available space, not the full 3 cm.

Cloud 22.2.3 newly deployed pages are not showing in Navigator

Since updating from Cloud 22.2.2 to 22.2.3, I’m seeing that newly created pages are not automatically showing in the Navigator.  I had no issues in 22.2.2.Steps to reproduce:  In IFS Developer Studio, create a new Entity, Client, and Projection for a new custom page.In the Navigator Entries of the Client file, create a new entry putting the new custom page under an existing parent.Deploy the new Entity,  Client, and Projection.Notice that the new custom page is not showing in the Navigator and in the Projection Summary/Pages, it has the “In Navigator” option set to “No”.  If I check the Navigator Designer for my existing parent, I can see my new custom page is available, it’s just not showing when I close the Navigator Designer.I know that I can add the page manually by toggling the Hidden property, but this isn’t a viable solution when the deployment is delivered to an instance that I don’t have access to.Anybody else seeing this issue?  Any ideas on what may be causing the issue and

Part Cost Rowversion Not Updating

I have a customer using Apps 10 Update 14. I’ve noticed when a part’s cost changes in part_cost_history, the rowversion in inventory_part_unit_cost_tab is not updated.  This means that the cost can change in that table without the rowversion reflecting that it’s been changed.  Is this intended functionality or a bug? Small test:Create part and give it an initial unit cost on 10/2 Change the cost on 10/3 Notice that the rowversion still says 10/2 although the cost is now updated.

22R2 Aurena Dark Theme and View SSRS Reports Page

I have a customer where some employees are using the Dark Theme in their 22R2 Aurena Use Places. The customer is also using SSRS for MS type Quick Reports.  In the Quick Reports/View SSRS Report window, the Quick Report becomes virtually invisible due to using the standard black font for the report data. Is there a way for users using the Dark Theme to show the background of the View SSRS Report window in white rather than black so the black text shows up?

Was the “Within City Limit” checkbox replaced or deprecated in IFS Cloud?  I am not able to locate it.cust_order_line_address_2.in_city

How to create layout definition entry when deploying new reports

I’m working in IFS Developer Studio in a Cloud 21.2.9 environment deploying new operational reports and uplifting existing custom operational reports.  In my .rdf, there is a place for the report definition which uses Report_Sys to create the Report Definition in the application.  I’d like to create the report layout entry at the same time so it doesn’t need to be created manually in the application.  I realize that I’ll still need to import the actual layout in the application but I’m trying to skip the step of having someone manually create the layout entry after the report is delivered to the various customer instances.I’m looking for advice on what the best practice is to accomplish this.  I did find that there is a Report_SYS.Define_Report_Layout_  procedure which I can put in the report definition section of my .rdf and which will create the layout entry.  The only issue is that it creates the entry with Design Time  set to TRUE.  I’ve found that this makes it impossible to delet

Parameter Mapping Workaround for MS Reports (SSRS)

I’m working in a 21.2.9 Cloud environment.  We have several SSRS legacy reports that were executed in Apps 9 with a custom menu that passed parameters from the source window to the report.  I see in the Cloud tech docs that the Page Configuration ParameterMapping functionality is not available for MS (SSRS) Reports and that it only works for SQL type reports.  I’m wondering if anyone has come up with a workaround for this issue?  Would creating a command in IFS Developer Studio in the .client code work to call the MS report and pass parameters from the source page?  Or would I run into the same limitation of not being able to pass parameters from the source page into the View SSRS Report  window?

Developer Studio Best Practice Remove Report

I created a custom report using IFS Developer Studio.   When I deployed the .rdf to the target database, the report itself was created and registered in the application.  The _RPI, _REP, and _RPT  database objects were also created.If I want to (or must) use IFS Developer Studio to remove the report from the target instance, what is the best practice to do so?   I see that I can make the entire model obsolete, but I also want to remove (not just ungrant) the report and drop the database objects.I also see the following procedures but I’m unsure if I should incorporate these into my existing rdf so that when it’s deployed to the target instance the objects are removed. report_sys.remove_report_definitiondatabase_sys.remove_packagedatabase_sys.remove_tabledatabase_sys.remove_view

SQL Quick Report Query Flags and LOV in Aurena

I’m working in IFS Applications 10 Update 12.  In IEE, I create a quick report according to the documentation using a list of values and Query Flags: https://docs.ifs.com/techdocs/21r1/foundation1/045_administration_aurena/255_br_and_a/005_adhoc_reporting/010_quickreports/default.htmSELECT * from customer_info where customer_category_db LIKE '&[-CS--]CUSTOMER_INFO.CUSTOMER_CATEGORY_DB'Viewing the report produces the expected parameter “Customer Category” with the expected list of values.  If I run the report with the value “Customer”, many records are returned. I switch over to Aurena and go to  Reporting/Order Report/ and order my report.  The parameter shows as the view name and does not have the list of values.  Even if I manually type in the value “Customer”, the report returns nothing. Am I missing a step or two in Aurena to get the list of values to work as described in the tech doc?I’ve used these query flags and lov sources often in IEE and have not had any issues.  This is

Error adding Quick Report to existing App Config Pkg

I’m working with a customer who is on 21.2.9.  I get an error in the Quick Reports screen when I try to add any Quick Report to an already existing Application Configuration Package.  The error is:Database error occurred. Contact administrator.        Url: null        Date = 2022-08-22T12:51:23.418Z        Request Id = null        Client version = 21.2.9.20220602055745.0The error does not occur if I use the “+ Create and Add App Config Package”.The error does not occur if I navigate to the existing Application Configuration Package and use the + button in the Items section to add the report..Is this a known issue with Cloud 21r2 Aurena?

Report Rule and Report Rule Log

I’m trying to use the Report Rule Log to figure out why my report rule is not yielding the expected results and am having trouble understanding what the log is telling me.  For each test, I get two records, one saying the result = TRUE (Log ID 152), the next saying the result = FALSE (Log ID 154).  I’d like to understand what’s happening at Log ID 154 so my rule is evaluating as FALSE.This is what the actual rule looks like:And this is the Expression 1:[&SELECT NVL(cf$_subcontract,'No') from purchase_order_cfv p where p.order_no ='[@PURCHASE_ORDER_PRINT_REP/PO_HEADERS/PO_HEADER/ORDER_NO]' ]As you can see by the log, the rule fires without error, but the action to add the pdf to the end of the report does not succeed.  I’ve tried this with another rule to add the pdf where my custom field value = “Yes” and that works fine since I don’t have to do a coding work around to handle the null custom field values.  I’m pretty sure my issue is just with the way I’m creating Expression 1.Any

Is there a fix for Quick Report Date Parameter Issue?

Was this issue reported to IFS and is there a fix to be able to use the date picker for date ranges?@Charith Epitawatta  investigated and advised to open a Case for investigation.  Was this ever done?

Utility Model - Location of LU Prompt and Base Table

I have used IFS Developer Studio to create a new Component and Utility Model comprised of the following:.utility - two lines utilityname and component .plsql - layer plus procedures to update my tables .storage - layer plus table definitions .views files - layer plus view definitions files auto generated for the database  I deployed everything and a new Logical Unit was created.  The issue is that I’m seeing values for the dictionary_sys_lu.lu_prompt, dictionary_sys_lu.base_table, and dictionary_sys_lu.base_view that I’d like to change, but I don’t know where these are in my model.  I didn’t specifically enter them anywhere before I deployed.  Does anyone know where these three values are typically set in a Utility Model?

Syntax for referencing custom enumeration in report model

I created a new report model for a custom report.  I also create a custom enumeration for a custom field in IFS IEE.  The custom enumeration is not currently part of my report model.  I’d like to add the custom enumeration as a lov for one of my report parameters.  Following the model syntax, I’ve reference the custom enumeration “ServiceType” for my ServiceType parameter:Syntax:lov <String> ;Optional. Reference to logical unit, or to a specific view, to be used for list of values.         parameter ServiceType       Text(100)                         M---L {         default "%";         lov     "ServiceType";       }This deploys without issue to the database, but the Presentation Object Scanner is giving me a warning and the lov isn’t working when I use the “Order Report” to view the report. Transfer warnings detected: 1   repC_MY_REPORT_REP      1. SERVICE_TYPE_CFP.ENUMERATE

Received - Not Yet Invoiced Source of Cost

I’m looking at the Received - Not Yet Invoiced report for multiple sites, with the current date as the To Date and the Part Type equal to Inventory Part. Can anyone tell me what would cause the Cost and Value columns to be sourced from the part’s estimated material cost for POs that were created up to a certain date and then to be sourced from the PO buy unit price after that date?  I’m working in a customer’s development instance and would like to understand what caused the change.

Activate Rowkey Aborting/Timing out

I’m trying to create some custom fields for the SalesContract LU.  I understand that I have to activate the rowkey before I can publish the new fields. When I try to use the Direct option to activate the RowKey for the SalesContract LU, it aborts after 30 minutes.  I put the debug on and it shows “java.sql.SQLTimeoutException: ORA-01013: user requested cancel of current operation. If I use the Background Job option, it gives me a popup application information message: “Request Aborted”, but the background job still appears in the list of jobs with a state of “executing”.  I can’t stop/kill it without asking the DBA to get involved. There’s only 3 Sales Contracts in the instance.  Why is the job taking so long and where do we adjust the timeout so it can run longer without stopping?
