Hi all, We have gone live with Cloud 23.3 mWO Service Engineer app. Many of our techs are reporting the app crashes often. I’m suspecting it is when the app goes to background tasks and the returning to the main screen. Has anyone seen it before? Is it an Android thing - perhaps trying to kill background jobs? The devices are on Android 13 (Galazy A34 5G)
Hi all, Have an issue with some parts that were added on the work task and sent to mWO (service engineer) aren’t showing the issue button. When I add the same part manually within mWO itself, the issue button shows. Any idea why? Android and Windows app show the same behaviour. Thanks
Hi all, As an admin user just wanted to know how you’d go about resolving the standard “No access” permission issues encountered by users. The below is how I follow now - which is pretty long and tedious. Are there any shorter, faster, and effective ways? The user gets thrown with the standard error. I log on to the web client as IFSAPP, then I apply the user’s permission sets to my personal IFS account. I log on to web client with Chrome browser as my personal IFS account, and enable IFS Cloud Web DevTools under Developer Tools. Then access the same page in the screenshot, and observe I too get thrown with the same error. Using Devtools, find the projection that is causing the error, and then grant appropriate Full or Read Only access to the user. This process works fine. Where it fails is when multiple users are having access issues so switching my permission sets to users multiple times is painful. Are there better ways to do this?
Hi,I’m getting the below error when downloading objects to mobile device on mWO (Service Engineer). What permissions should I grant to the users to get pass this? They already can see objects that were on the tasks sent to them.
Hi all, Just wondering if there is a way that we can make it mandatory to report the task steps in the mWO (Service Enginerr) app in Cloud? Currently if there are task steps in the task, the mWO users can optionally mark as done or not done, but they can simply ignore and move on. Is there a way that we can make it mandatory to visit and update the details? TIA
Hi,Does anyone know how we can rename the radio button options with New Work on mWO (Service Engineer) possibly using Page Designer?TIA
Hi,Just wondering if anyone has had the requirement of mWO (Service Engineer app) in Cloud to generate something like below:Tech attends the job based off the task sent to them. The task is to investigate the service call. The tech finds the actual symptoms, fault codes, failing components, causes etc and enters that information (this is already possible in the app). The system then looks at the setup in Failure Setup Navigator and finds the applicable action (i.e. the Work Task Template having the guided steps and materials). The app then applies this task template to this task creating additional steps and new materials to carry out the fix. Note that the mobile could be offiline - so necessary basic data should be already syned to the device.I have a few options but nothing that would work while the device is offline.TIA
Hi,Our mWO app on Cloud 23R2 was working fine, and suddenly its behavior has changed and all tasks now changed to pickup tasks. Most of the actions that used to work are disabled (ex issuing parts, eForms) and asking for a default location when starting work. I’ve checked entity configuration on jttask to ensure all custom fields are deployed and all additional views are published. Does anyone know what might have gone wrong? TIA
Hi,To test a script I need to log on as an end user to SQL Developer but I believe the application user and pass are different when logging on to Oracle database. How do I find the credentials to log on to SQL Developer as an end user? TIA
Hi all, We are testing with Cloud 23R2 having an on-prem database. Just wanted to know if it is possible to configure the access such that mWO (Service Engineer) can access IFS directly from Android phones (i.e. without a vpn), but all other users accessing the wider IFS Cloud pages via PCs, tablets should use a vpn to connect? My idea is to make the access to IFS is secure enough, but not too rigid for the mWO users, and at the same time they don’t have to depend on reliability of the vpn.TIA.
Hi all,We’re on Cloud 23R2.A question around the logical printers that aren’t connected to a physical printer. In Apps9 we have a logical printer - PDFEMAILER which isn’t connected to a physical printer. When the users print specific order reports to this printer, a custom event will pick it up and email the pdf to the external parties. This has been working fine. Now when I try to do the same in Cloud (an upgraded system from apps9), the print jobs go to Remote Working when I print to PDFEMAILER logical printer. If I print to a logical printer that has a connected network printer, it comes out fine and the job goes to state - Complete. Printing to the standard no _printout printer too works fine where the job gets completed and the pdf gets archived. Things I’ve tried:Reinstall, restart PA, restart utility server (the server with PA installed) Create a new logical printer (without a connected physical printer) Restart reporting pods on mws Any ideas why? Is it because the mws or PA do
