The delivery note is not being created when delivering lines in “Deliver Customer Order Lines.” It IS being created when delivering the customer order through “Quick Order Flow Handling.”Is it only designed to work when using quick order flow handling?Stop after Deliver Order is unchecked.Quick Flow Order Handling picks and delivers all reserved order lines. If we want to deliver a single line, We would want to use Deliver Customer Order Lines, correct? Why would the delivery note not be created if using Deliver Customer Order Lines? Thanks!Eric
We have a need to schedule the first operation of a shop order as soon as possible, and secondary operations as late as possible. Is this achievable with advanced planning board?Purpose is to utilize available machine capacity at op 10 and have accurate start dates for raw material planning, but backwards schedule remaining operations so orders are finished as late as possible. I’m attempting to schedule an operation following an outside service operation. I want to schedule the operation to start as soon as the outside service operation is complete and there is capacity available. The outside op has an 8 week lead time, but it was sent out 6 weeks ago and are expecting it back in 2 weeks. The PO attached to it for example has an arrival date of 8/12. The operation I want to schedule could start on the 15th. When I schedule it as early as possible in APB, the system thinks it still needs a full 8 weeks, so the operation isn’t scheduled until 8 weeks from today. Can APB recognize arrival dates on outside service PO’s? Are there any solutions to scheduling shop orders with outside service operations? Thanks,Eric
I’m looking at implementing scheduling with the Advanced Planning Board or CBS.What is the purpose of Batch Processing in the APB? Can the results from the batch load be set to save to the IFS database automatically when it runs? Or is CBS needed for automated scheduling? Thanks,Eric
When promising customer orders, we enter the Target date and the Planned Ship date is calculated based on delivery lead time. Can IFS allow entry of the Planned Ship date and calculate the Target Date instead? IFS App10
The time in ship/date time on a customer order line defaults to 12:00 AM. How do we change the default time on a ship date to say, 3:00 PM? We run Master Schedule at 3:00 AM. Because it runs after the ship time of 12:00 AM, we get MS Action Proposals of Actual demand is past due (late shipment), even though the line is set to ship that day and not actually late. I know we can calculate demonstrated capacity for a single work center. Can demonstrated capacity be calculated for all work centers in a site? We have 100+ work centers and want to be able to compare demonstrated vs average capacity on a weekly basis without having to calculate each work center individually. IFSAPP10Thanks, Eric
We have a part that is machined on any 1 of 8 different machines. Each machine is its own work center. Each work center is setup as a different alternate routing for the part. When CRP is calculated, load from shop order requisitions will only appear on the work center that’s on the primary routing. This machine/work center always appears overloaded, while the alternates appear to have plenty of capacity, even though the load will be spread across all machines. Is it possible to generate load from shop order requisitions to alternate routings? Thanks,Eric
In order to prevent shipping due to a variety of reasons, we may manually block a customer order. Manually blocked orders do not allow pegging or reserving which interrupts the workflow for production and shipping/receiving. We still want to be able to produce the shop order, pegging it to a customer order and reserve the completed lot to the order, just prevent it from shipping. Is it possible to allow manually blocked customer orders to be pegged and reserved?
2 questions on the advanced planning board Does the APB consider Shop Order Priority Categories and prioritize accordingly? Can the APB use characteristic sequencing during automatic scheduling when loading shop orders and/or during scheduled batch loading, or is the only way to use sequencing a manual process within APB?
Is it possible to assign multiple resources to a shop order operation?Example: A Shop order operation is routed to Work Center “X”.Work Center X is made up of machine resources X01, X02, X03, X04. A small order will run on X01 only while a large order will utilize all 4 machines. Can X01,X02,X03, and X04 all be assigned to one shop order operation?An attempt was made to manage it with multiple work centers where X1 represents 1 machine, and X4 represents all 4 machines, but this skews capacity views when a resource is assigned to multiple work centers.
Shop order increases packaging requirements when assembly is scrapped during operation.Example: Assembly lot size = 100. Box on the product structure QPA=1. We need to produce a full lot of 100 so we use increase lot size on scrap option. 1 assembly is scrapped, lot size increased to 101.IFS calculates requirements of 101 boxes however a box is not needed for the scrapped assembly. Is there an option to not include scrapped assembly qty when calculating material requirements?
Manufacturing visualizer is used to schedule shop order operations using drag and drop. Operations are typically rescheduled without compression, leaving subsequent operations and shop order finish dates the same. As soon as an operator reports any complete or scrapped quantities, the shop order is again backwards scheduled and the operation start and finish dates revert back. Is this preventable? Can IFS maintain the rescheduled/uncompressed finish date on the scheduled operation?IFSAPP10 Thanks,Eric
I’m attempting to build finished goods (master schedule level 1 parts) using an EOQ planning method (E or F). When running MS, it generates requisitions based on lot for lot logic, disregarding planning methods.I also attempted planning method G and set the order cover time out far enough to where many of these requisitions should be combined and there was no change. Am I missing something, does MS not consider planning methods?IFSApp10.
Looking for information on how the hierarchy logic works when using conditional formatting on multiple columns.Example: In Customer Order, the planned ship date background should turn red if the date is in the past. If the status is Invoiced/Closed, the entire line should be greyed out. Right now the Planned ship date turns red on Invoiced/Closed lines. How do I make the Status trump the Planned Ship Date formatting? IFSAPPS10
