In IFS 9, it is possible to define an output channel as XML but open in Excel. You can either associate XML with Excel within Windows System settings or choose, Application to Start and navigate to excel. You are then prompted when excel loads the file to open as an XML table.This will retain leading zeros for you, but the downside is that it will treat all numeric fields as text too, so those that you need as numbers will need to be converted from text. This can be done with the Excel Error checking which will identify that you have a number stored as text.
A bit further down the road in the testing and all seems to be working OK.The issue with the “Auto Receipt” not working was due to stock existing in the destination location with Company Ownership.Don’t seem to have a solution for the Consignment Flag on the PO (generate on Release of the Distribution order) other than a database trigger.
Hi StevenI thought I would share our experience with handling multiple country of origins for a part. We do not have serial or lot batch tracked inventory, so what we do is apply a W/D/R code to the inventory as it is received on a purchase order. The W/D/R is used to denote the country of origin/country code. We can then segregate and trace the inventory and ensure that when we pick and deliver we can report the correct country of origin on our customer facing and export documents.I know this doesn’t directly answer your question but it may help. @Anders Blom - I deactivated all of the Object Connection Transformations this morning and the error hasn’t appeared since. I will still need to reactivate selectively and understand whether there is a particular one that is causing the issue, but it is great this this has put a stop to the errors for now. Hi @Anders Blom . Thanks for the info. I have checked the Object Connection Transformations, no custom entries and the last modified dates tally with the last update we applied (back in May which was IFS9 Update 16) However, looking at the Target LUs these appear to be the screens where we are seeing errors. CustomerOrderLine, PurchaseReceipt for example. I will deactivate the Transformations related to these screens and monitor to see if the errors stop. Thanks again
Hi @Rcoubrou - we also find this behavior undesirable and have a “cleanup” job that runs on the BACKGROUND_JOB_IS_PROCESSED event for Create Order Proposal jobs. This checks any planned Purchase Reqs or Distribution Orders generated with requisitioner code INV and determines if they meet the criteria you are describing - ie are surplus. If so they are removed.

Select SYS.ALL_SEQUENCES.SEQUENCE_NAME, SYS.ALL_SEQUENCES.SEQUENCE_OWNER, SYS.ALL_SEQUENCES.MIN_VALUE, SYS.ALL_SEQUENCES.MAX_VALUE, SYS.ALL_SEQUENCES.INCREMENT_BY From SYS.ALL_SEQUENCES Where SYS.ALL_SEQUENCES.SEQUENCE_NAME In ('PCM_COUNTER_WO_SEQ', 'PCM_COUNTER_PMWO_SEQ') In our environment the PCM_COUNTER_WO_SEQ has a max value of 599999 and the PM starts at 600000 as i expect is the same in your environment. It would appear that this is to prevent a Primary Key violation on the ACTIVE_WORK_ORDER_TAB. The PCM_COUNTER_WO_SEQ has the CYCLE_FLAG set to N so i believe this will error when you reach the MAX_VALUE. In a test environment you could try and simulate reaching the Max Value, but probably one to disc
If you have the message class defined that will allow you to send the Dispatch Advice. There is a setting on the internal customer (Order tab → Message Defaults tab) to Send Automatically or you can manually send from Print Delivery Note @MilSiddiH Do you use this currently for your internal transfers?
We didn’t design our process around Purchase Order Change orders, but we find that occasionally we will be forced to use a change order. Most of our purchase order rules are set to Allow Changes Within Order Amount, and i believe a change order will be created when a change is made to an already authorized PO that increases the order value. However, i haven’t taken the time to investigate this fully and the help text is a little sparse. I would also be keen to learn from others with knowledge in this area what the triggers might be for a change order and whether there are any parameters to control this.
@Harley - I am probably going to move forward with the Quick Report for this , however I am intrigued by your suggestion to add a Reference Type custom field. We have a table within IFS that now has distinct values for these part numbers but I cannot find where or how to tie to that table from this particular query. Since I am looking in the “Customer Order Lines” table, how do I pull a reference from a field in a different table within IFS? Any help you can give here is greatly appreciated. :-) @lmckim - if you are using IFS9 or greater, you can add a Custom Field to the CustomerOrderLine logical unit. The reference i was referring to in this case was CustomerOrderLine → SalesPart → Part Catalog.
Hello The limitation is that you cannot apply any aggregation function to non-numeric fields in the Group/Sum column. If you could apply a min/max to the Sales Part Description then this would be a simple fix. Of course this would be possible within a quick report. Whilst this might not be the most efficient solution, you could add a Reference type custom field to Customer Order Line, to retrieve the Part Catalog Description. This would be unique per part and could be included in the group by condition. Regards Harley
Hi Chris I am not aware of a way of controlling the visibility of standard menu items other that permissions as you suggest, or alternatively via a user profile (right-click, Properties, Advanced). Controlling this via a base profile might be preferable to security. With regard to the code from a custom menu there are a few things to note. As far as i am aware the only fields that you can pass to the PL/SQL block as bind variables are from the base view for the screen you are on. For Quick Order Flow Handling the base view is CUSTOMER_ORDER. You can check the base view via system info. Your code therefore has a number of issues because you are referring to variables such as objkey_ that are not declared. The following may give you something to start with and work on Consider the elements from the base view that you will need to pass and declare these. In this case Customer Number, Site (to get company) and Order Number Then consider the elements that are not in the view but you will ne

Hi @HOOJEWINL We are currently testing Update 16 so i tried this in our test environment and was not able to replicate. What i did notice looking back at the code changes in the order_quotation_line_api, between update 10 and update 12 an additional parameter was added to the Cancel_Order_Line procedure. -- Bug 143415, Added new parameter cancel_info_. I think this is an issue for IFS support. Please update us if you get to the bottom of the issue.

Have you considered using Dispatch Advice to send the delivery information from Site S2 to the receiving site S1. I believe the Lot/Batch and Serial Number should be transferred in the Dispatch Advice message, which you would then process in the Incoming Dispatch Advice screen.
As you are seeing the email being generated, the code would appear to be running without error. I am therefore wondering whether this may indicate a potential issue with site access. Try running the code without the where clause to see if data is returned into the part_no variable when the entire view is queried.
If the information you are passing is available in the screen from which you are making the call, a Custom Menu with action type PL/SQL Block should suffice. The Custom Menu from Historic Work Order would need to look something like this PL/SQL Block: begin ifsapp.historical_separate_api.Recreate_Work_Order(wo_no_ =>&WO_NO);end;
Also look at testing with the Price Query screen in IFS. This provides a Price Logic Visualization, so you can see the price retrieval hierarchy and where your price is being retrieved for a given Part, Customer, Date and Quantity.
