Thank you all for your responses. They are very helpful!
thank you, that helps
Currently, you can go to the Structure for Work Order screen to link one or more existing work orders to a superior or “parent” work order. However, the work orders have to be added to the structure one at a time. Is there a way to add multiple work orders to the same structure at one time instead of individually? For instance, if we want to add 50 existing work orders to a structure, it would be ideal if we could add them in mass instead of individually, one at a time. Thanks!
thank you
Thank you for all of the responses. They are very helpful. One additional question. When parts are delivered on an Inter-Site customer order, are the quantities in the Inventory Part in Internal Order Transit always increased by the delivery quantity? And do all of the Inter-Site PO Lines have to be received from Internal Order Transit? In other words, is there a scenario where delivering lines on an Inter-Site customer order will not affect the Internal Order Transit quantities?
thank you for the responses
Thank you for your help. We have opened an IFS Case for this.
where are the log files located?
We are using App 9. There are no errors or other messages, the application just closes. So there is no screen shot to provide. The users tried re-initializing and also re-installing the app but neither of those things corrected the issue. This is not happening with other users who should have the same amount of data so I don’t think that could be it. We have not looked at the log files. We can try that. Any other suggestions?
SanjeewaJ HeroWhat forum should I be using?
Thanks for the response. More specifically, we are getting an “Invalid Delivery Address Specified” error when trying to generate a work order from a PM Action on a Service Contract. The customer address and serial object address are correct so we don’t know what is causing the error. Thus the question, what address is being used for work orders.
Thank you so much for your replies. It really helps. We never knew about this until recently So there are a lot of parts that have been in Internal Order Transit for a long time. Too many to try to determine how they got there. So we don’t know which Purchase Orders to receive them on. It seems to be a bit of a mess.Any suggestions for how we can “clean up” the parts in our Internal Order Transit?
Thank you Shawn. We did discover that if an order line does not have a Location No provided then the parts are moved to internal order transit. Do you know of any other scenarios or causes for parts to be moved to internal order transit?
The business requirement is to prevent a shop order from being automatically generated when any configured part is added as a customer order line. As a solution, we were hoping to have the Supply Code default to Invent Order instead of Shop Order.
Thank you for everyone’s feedback.
Thank you for your response. Unfortunately we are unable to return the customer order to the planned status.
