Is it possible to link multiple work orders to a parent work order at one time? Instead of having to link them one at a time?
Hi
Are you able to advise what would indicate a WO is a child and what record is it’s parent. To allow multiple connections at once the system would need to search for the relevant WO to attach and to do that it would need some information that would mark those WO’s out from the rest.
Kind regards,

Currently, you can go to the Structure for Work Order screen to link one or more existing work orders to a superior or “parent” work order. However, the work orders have to be added to the structure one at a time. Is there a way to add multiple work orders to the same structure at one time instead of individually?
For instance, if we want to add 50 existing work orders to a structure, it would be ideal if we could add them in mass instead of individually, one at a time.
Thanks!
Hi
In order to do that you would need some criteria to tell the system so it knows what 50 to add i.e. they all have the same value in a user_def field. How do you as a user know that these 50 WO’s belong to the master? Does the system have that same information stored? Is this always the same or can it vary depending on the WO and what its for?
You need to break down the processes of identifying these child WO’s. Once that is done it is likely you could set up a Business Rule or some other configuration to perform this for you. Otherwise you will need to request specifically the functionality you are after in a post in the Ideas section of Community for this to be considered to a later version.
