Customer Order picking

Hi ,If you want to go for automatic reservations , you can setup Priority levels in the Site window / Inventory TAB / Automatic Reservations.If you set first priory as the : Highest put away zone ranking , if the parts are available in the warehouse location which has highest ranking , parts would be reserved from that particular location first.  However , there are few more settings that you need to setup in the application level to make this happen. Many Thanks,Lumini.

Customer order on a remote warehouse

Hi Celia ,Please note that the ‘Automatic Reservation’ prioritization functionality is not available in APPS 9. But you can still fulfill your requirement by following the  ‘Second’ and ‘third’ setups that I have mentioned in my last reply. what you have to do it create storage zones by assigning warehouses to each. Please make sure that the ; Rank 1 : Remote warehouse Rank 2 : Normal warehouse And setup the ranking at the inventory part / ‘Putaway Zone’ TAB  (please rank your storage zones here).Make sure that the below highlighted check box is ticketed at the site level.   Once done with the above and  if you have ranked your remote warehouse as rank : one in the inventory part level. When doing the reservation parts would be automatically reserved from the remote warehouse. I have tried this flow and it worked as expected. Please check and provide a feedback. Many Thanks,Lumini.

Customer order on a remote warehouse

Hi Celia ,I hope you are concerning about how the sales parts in the customer order should get reserved. This means you need to reserve parts from the remote warehouse not from the normal warehouse when a customer puts a customer order if I am not mistaken.1. When it comes to automatic reservations in the IFS application you can set up priorities at the site level. After setting up the priority , please do below settings : Create two storage zones ( 1 with the remote warehouse and another with the normal warehouse ). ​​​ In the Inventory part ‘Putaway Zone’ TAB please rank your storage zone. Rank 1 : Remote warehouse Rank 2 : Normal warehouse Once these settings are configured when you let the system to do automatic reservation for a customer order, it would reserve parts from the remote warehouse which is having rank 1 in the Inventory part / put away zones TAB. I have tried this and part got reserved from my remote warehouse. Please try this and let me know your feedback.

Limit the changes of a Purchase order, based on the Requisition

Hi,As far as I am aware you need to have a sperate authorization rule setup in the PO level ( Purchase Order Authorization Rule ) to have the authorization on PO level.Once you have both PO and PR authorization rules set up when releasing the PO , the particular PO authorization rule would be fetched. Thank You,Lumini.

Regarding Incoming Purchase Price Catalog - when using price lists

How to put parts(inventory) into Handling Unit

Hi Shou ,In IEE client there several options that you can use to attach an inventory parts to the handling unit. You can do it through below windows.1. Inventory part in stockBy RMB on the inventory part and ‘attached to handling unit’ menu option you can attach a inventory part which is in the stock to a handling unit. 2. Through the Shipment WindowIt is possible to create a handling unit structure in the Shipment window / HU tab and attach parts to each handling unit as per your requirement.Define HU structure :  And through the Unattached shipment lines TAB , add required number of parts in the shipment line to the handling unit using the RMB option. 3. These are main two ways and further application provides the facility to ‘Pack parts according to the handling unit capacity’ in the Shipment window as a RMB option in the header. However, in order to do this, there are few more settings which need to be done in the application.Thank you,Lumini.

Transport task, from Drop-off location to Forward To location

Hi Lahiru ,As far as I am aware there is no link to the newly created transport task from the initial one. You need to search it in the transport task window itself. Further I have noted that there are some instances where this transport task does not create automatically. It happens when you have a transport task created for the same destination but stuck without being executed in the created state . In such a case I have noted that even though data related to the drop off location is correctly define the second transport task will not be create automatically. To get rid you need to make sure that no other transport task lies in the created state for the same destination. Hope this helps.Many thanks ,Lumini.

What is pre-posting in IFS APPS 8

Hi Deepak ,In IFS Pre - Posting is using mainly for the reporting purposed and data analysis purposes.For an instance as you have mentioned if we have enabled pre - posting  in CO line or header level , it is possible to add site details in the customer order line level.Once done for an example it is possible to run reports to retrieve data about number of sales which was done on that particular site. Many Thanks,Lumini.

Inventory Part In Stock - Open Purchase Orders

Hi @Benny ,You can also use ‘Inventory Part in Stock Reservations’ window. It does illustrate the reserved qty and the type of reservations as well. And if you further RMB on the line and go to ‘Reservation Details’ it will list against to which orders the reserved qty was reserved. Hope this helps.  Thank You,Lumini.

Refill stock with an automatic transport task IFS9

Hi Nicolas ,Yes this is possible to generate an automatic transport task to refill a remote warehouse through the warehouse navigator. Could I please ask do you want both the warehouses to be Remote type ? Let me explain the logic behind refilling. In order to refill stocks from one warehouse to another through the Transport Task you need to have a warehouse with stock available and a lower putaway zone ranking than the warehouse which is needed to be refilled. Refilling happens from lower level ranking warehouse to a higher level ranking warehouse. To do that through the Storage Zone window , create a Zone and attach two warehouses separately to each zone. Once done in the :     Inventory Part Window / Putaway Zones TAB / Inventory Part Value TAB , provide warehouse and ranking.Rank 1 : Should goes to the warehouse which need to be refilled Rank 2 : Should goes to the warehouse which has stocks available When this setup is available , system generated an automatic transport task if yo

Register direct delivery

Hi Paul ,I have tried this in APPS 9 and it is not possible. It is not allowed to undo customer order deliveries if the order is direct delivered. In the meantime not possible to cancel the PO receipt as well.Thanks ,Lumini.

EDI incoming orders

Hi Svrmhuebner , To add bit of more information to this , when creating a Customer Order through the Incoming Customer Order ( EDI based ) the ‘Price Freeze flag’ is set to true. Which means ticked. Main purpose of the ‘Price Freeze’ check box in this scenario is:If you select it in the CO line , the price would not be affected by any of the price sources’.  Thus ‘Price / Base’ would be populated with the price send through the EDI. This is the purpose of having the price freeze flag true by default when creating a CO through the incoming customer order. Thus, the base price is taken from the incoming order rather than from the application.  If you set this to false (on the CO line) , the price which is populated on the CO line would not be the price sent through the ICO anymore , but the price applicable in the application (Agreement , Price List etc).I have tried this on the Receive customer Order , BizAPI ( EDI ) flow. Many Thanks,Lumini.

Consolidated view of Part Lines & No Part Lines in Requisitions

Hi Jim , Other than viewing PO lines through a PO lines window you can also try exporting the lines to a CSV format if you want to have them on a CSV file.

Reporting Intrastat for Non-Inventory Purchase Parts in App 7.5

Patch 95518 (and its supplementary patches) would solve this issue in APP 7.5 by adding new columns to No part order lines tab in the purchase order to provide relevant data for intrastat
