Is there a way to locate a Model file for a custom operational report? I was researching another report when I noticed that a previous report is no longer listed in our Project. I can locate the schema (xsd) and rdf files but the model (.report) file is no longer showing. The report is deployed and is running. Is there a way to get the .report file back/recreated? We do not use the build_home concept for our custom objects.
We have employees with apostrophe’s in their email address who need to receive emails from IFS App9 . We receive the Application Error Message: Error while sending data... Caused by: javax.mail.internet.AddressException: Local address contains control or whitespace when trying to send emails to the recipients. The recipient email works fine outside of IFS. Is there a way to allow these emails to work within IFS?? We have even tried setting up a Distribution List with only that employee but ultimately the email needs to go to the individual recipient. Examples in attached Word document.There was previous posting related to FSM but it is older and am not able to access any of the replies which is rather inconvenient since I now have to pose a new question.NOTE: we are just starting the upgrade to Cloud version but that is several months to a year before that happens and need to see if there is some sort of work around for this issue now.
We have a Work Time Calendar in place for our Company Holidays and work schedule which is 4x10 hour days with every Friday off. Can we implement another Work Time Calendar to be used for DME Component we are looking to utilize? This new calendar would include Federal Holidays which are NOT recognized by our company. I have not found any documentation about Work Time Calendars in the IFS Applications 9 Technical Documentation nor in the Community.
We are currently on APP9 UPD 16 and in the process of migrating to Cloud. In the meantime, we are trying to eliminate the need for a Crystal Report Server as our servers need to be update and would like to convert the 8 or so Crystal reports to Report Designer using IFS Developer Studio. The one I’m working on is a Derco AR Aging which would be part of the PAYLED Module. I have created the Model .report but it appears there is much more code required to be added and fixed on the .RDF side. The Report does show up in the Financials-Accounts Receivable-Reports-Info Services Reports. Report is granted a Query role we use but none of the actions in the RMB are active. I was reviewing the Customer Ledger Open Items/CUST_OPEN_ITEM_REP which is where I found much more code required for setting up the Order Report Template. It appears in the RDF that the template may be created on the fly within the code? One suggestion I found in the Community is to refer to Financials-Payment Basic D
I have a report rule to print multiple COPIES of a layout but if the layout is more than 1 page it will print # copies of page 1 then # copies of page 2. How can I get it to print page 1, 2, page 1, 2? There is no explanation anywhere about the DuplexMode, PrintConfFileName, SpoolFileName Action Properties for this Action. I’d like to know if the DuplexMode would be used for this purpose? Documentation on the Report Rule Action Properties is terrible - just some feedback.
I have a continuing issue in IFS App9 with Signature images shrinking based on the amount of data present in the body of the layout. We use Dynamic image stored on database. If there is enough room the signature displays properly but when the page is filled with data it shrinks instead of flowing to the next page. I do not have any properties set to keep with current, previous or next objects. There is data before and after it. My version of Report Designer does not have an aspect ratio property for the images in the body area but there is one in the header/footer images (no issues with these). I have the same issue on all of our layouts. We have our images saved as .jpg and using Media Items within IFS - is there a specific size they need to be or should we use a different file type? Haven’t found anything that specifies so using what we were using for StreamServe.
We are using Report Rule - Send Email and a Route to Connect Process for our Sales Quotations and have found a limitation. Sales Quote PDF is 10 pages with size 237KB which works fine but as soon as we add additional lines to the quote the emails and route to connect processes no longer work. They are still 10 pages but the size changes to 238KB. The PDFs show in Report Archive and Print Manager but the Report Rules do not process. PDF doesn’t show up in the Route To Connect location nor are the emails sent. I’m not seeing any errors in Application Messages, Background Jobs, Print Manager so not sure where to check next.
We are migrating our business documents to IFS Report Designer and I have found the Signatures I am placing on the documents shrink depending on how much room is left at the bottom of the document. In IFS documentation they refer to an Image property - Keep aspect ratio. I do not have that as an Image property so not sure how to adjust the Signatures so they don’t shrink to an unreadable size. IFS Report Designer v100.0.0003. I have attached a word document with screen shots of the layout-image properties, normal image size if goes to 2nd page, shrunken image. I have placed the image into a table, in a cell at the end of the document and have not set it to Keep with anything before or after it. Would be great to include these types of issues in your documentation.
Trying to ‘automatically’ print PDFs to Send PDF to Connect printer for the Route to Connect action. I already have several rules set up for either email, printing to printers based on Printer Definition etc and want to have a Route to Connect rule that will automatically select the Send PDF to Connect printer without the user having to do it and without messing with any other printer options required for other printing options.
Apps 10: Trying to set up Routing Rules to send Report Designer Report PDF to Connect saving the PDFs off to a Network File Share. Need to include the order number or invoice number or pick list number etc as part of the file name so users can easily find the PDF. This should be standard file naming to include the object name for users to be able to locate specific files. I am not finding anything that shows how to configure this. Output File set up has the %TAG=ANY_MESSAGE_VARIABLE% option but what this means isn’t explained anywhere in the documentation. Would be great to have more in depth instructions around these processes.
