The original way in IFS Applications (Apps9 and earlier) required configuration of History Logging beforehand, and a IAL/custom select & Quick Report to fetch results from History Log and History Log Attribute. Now I suppose you would create a Custom LU and a Custom Trigger to insert a row into the Custom L:U upon Delete of a row form the Shop Order object. Sorry I can’t be definitive about Apps10 capability.

We have a Custom Procedure which runs as a part of Incoming Customer Orders Approval workflow that updates Custom Order header Ship Via based on Forwarder ID and several other parameters for specific order types and order status. Part is not one of the parameters, which are traffic and logistics related. Basically, the order is examined for case quantity and routed either LTL or parcel carrier. I know of nothing in IFS Apps9 that handles the conditioned update of the Custom Trigger. There are so many conditions to check that a View is created and referenced by the trigger. I suppose this could be implemented another way driven off a Custom Trigger on Customer Order Line History as the update is CUSTOMER_ORDER_API.Modify__ with the desired parameters.

When it is applied it can change the graphical interface and behavior of the user interface. The profile consists of a named collection of settings, such as window sizes, colors, saved queries, navigator entries and similar settings in the user interface. Then I found this thread: In Apps 9 and earlier:As the system administrator create a Base Profile, assign it as active in current session and go to all the forms you want and make the UI changes you want. Save the Base Profile.Never change the IFS Standard profile.Then use the tools to assign the Base Profile to the appropriate users (we maintain 3 Base Profiles - 2 by Company Code and one for Customer Service). This sounds to me like an opportunity for a Custom Event. Although not an IFS Finance expert my understanding is that if a Cost Center is open for GL postings then it is available anywhere in the application. Are you using Pre Posting to Purchase Requisition Lines?We have a Custom Trigger that requires a Pre Posting Account and Cost Center on Purchase Requisitions upon PR State change to Released.It sounds like you might put a similar condition in place... require the removal of certain Cost Centers from the Pre Posting data upon PR Release.

Check the Returned Quantity of the customer order lines (column name QTY_RETURNED) and see if it is equal to the Quantity Shipped on the line (column name QTY_SHIPPED). Depending on how you used IFS back in 2002 there may be some additional line quantity calculations to determine if there is any quantity on the customer order line eligible for return. I know I’ve seen this error message but I can’t find a corrective action, so I believe this is the error message meaning “no unreturned quantity remains” but I can’t be certain.
As far as I can tell, this seems to be a feature of IFS. Is my thinking on this correct? We have a few cases with duplicate serial numbers but different part numbers associated with each. You are correct - this is by design. An interesting topic for a Custom Event. On insert check the Serial No value against the table and error out if the new value exists. Some places IFS creates the Serial Number (e.g. in advance on Shop Orders). I suppose certain background operations would just fail if you already had a Serial No value for a different part when one of those processes executed.
View [MATERIAL_REQUISITION] not found in dictionary [Apps10] This alert is displayed when going to "Conditional Field" from the RMB option. That looks like a bug to me; time for you to raise a case with IFS Support. Maybe the IFS user does not have sufficient permission to the Presentation Object as I have not encountered a message like that previously. That seems unlikely as you must have created Material Requisitions with that account.
I believe I have seen the Deliver function lock itself a few times, as in the fast queue two Deliver transactions can run at the same time. I feel this queue should only have 1 process, if any jobs within have the potential to lock, when running at the same time? I did have the bad experience once of having a queue that processed Customer Orders set as 2. The Locking that occurred was monumental.Now we have a Queue, named Customer Order, with all of the expected order processing background jobs assigned.An exception in this queue are Customer Invoicing jobs, create and print. These run in another queue and I have not experienced that Record Locking because those jobs are scheduled for a time when(most) customer order jobs are not running. The rule of thumb I was provided is to keep tasks that update a common LU in the same queue.

You still need to make this Conditional configuration in a Base Profile … and have your IFS Users assigned that Base Profile. I was able to configure this in Apps9 and did not receive any error message.
This is routine for a certain Cost Center value pre posting.Company B creates a Purchase Requisition (PR) with a Pre posting. The PR to PO occurs and the Pre posting is carried to the PO Lines. PO is issued and a Supplier Invoice arrives, PO Receipt is made and the Supplier Invoice is matched to the PO Line, PO is closed.It reads that “Multi Company Allocation” is a route for us. In this instance 100% of the cost of the PO Line is transferred to Company A. I don’t think there is a supplier invoice workflow other than Mixed Payment, but it’s not my area. Thanks.
It would be an interesting Custom Event that monitored Customer Order Line Status for the “minimum” number (ignoring package components) changing to Invoices and then finding the “next” ‘delivered’ Customer Order Line and setting the “Invoice Blocked” column to not ticked. Then execute Create Customer Order Line as a background job for the now delivered line. The starting condition for the Customer Order Lines would be “Invoice Blocked” column ticked. Since only one customer order line would be Delivered AND “Invoice Blocked” column not ticked you should get an invoice per line.
We just, for the first time, enabled a Charge row on the Customer (available since Apps8). We are using a percentage of the order value, rather than a fixed value. Is the ‘Customer’ for Site B only supplied by Site A? If so then this could work, otherwise you might try a Custom Event Action to add a charge row to Customer Order for ‘Customer’ Site B when the Site of the Customer Order is A.
Hi Pamith, Do you want this to run online so that you know the exact time the invoice is created? quite sure this functionality is executing as a background job due to performance-related issues. However, you can change the executing code and do a modification to run this particular job online, it would require customization though as if not all changes will be lost when a new delivery comes with changes to this particular API. There is one more option though where you can trigger an email upon successfully completing the background job via Custom Events. Hi Infaz, what i really want to do is to give a pop-up error when the shipment invoice is created. Since this goes to the background job the error is shown there - which doesn't serve the purpose. Document 4 (Customer Order Debit Invoice) is the Customer Order Invoice report.I don’t have an answer about collective invoices but my suspicion is that both reports share the same ‘document code’ (4).
I don’t know the answer for those objects but a countermeasure I’ve used for Lis Of Value dialogs is to define an exclusion/inclusion search, save it, then modify the Base Profile to include it as the default action for the dialog box.Here is where the dialog Properties are modified.list of values Dialog > PropertiesThen an example of the Dialog Startup BehaviorObject Properties / Dialog Startup behaviorThis assumes you have assigned a Base Profile to the IFS User logons. Otherwise you are faced with the overhead of doing that, hopefully you aren’t stuck with legacy individual Personal Profiles. Not using Change Orders so I wouldn’t know if there is a feature to do that. (Sorry)
As far as I know, there is no specific window to return parts to a supplier which are not connected to a PO. This was looked at at another IFS customer I worked at. The Customer Order approach would generate OESHIP Inventory Transaction History… and corresponding financial transactions (even at zero price)? For that reason this approach was dropped.I was wondering if the material could be moved to the supplier as if it were an Shop Order Outside Operation, and then scrapped. While different set of financial transactions but it shouldn’t show up as a Sale in reports. This I think a suffers from the lack of system support to generate the necessary paperwork to ship product to an outside supplier (at least in Apps8-SP1 there wasn’t anything I saw).
I considered an INSERT on the CFT, but I didn’t want to leave myself in a situation where new fields aren’t defaulted according to the configuration. It’s better to let the application regenerate the CFP whenever a field definition changes. A technique I’ve observed is to trigger on the ‘history’ table, rather than use a background job, and perform the update. Look for the ‘Shop order created’ History Log Action Text (Logical Unit: ShopOrderHistory) to get your ShopOrd value and insert the CFT row?
