Can we adjust the session expiration interval in IFS Cloud?

Hi @Buddhika Kurera  Thanks for your quick reply. However, when we select this row, there is no "Modify" button available for updating.   Best regards, Feng Can someone confirm whether or not we can modfiy the timeout value?

Thanks! And for others watching, doing this change will only have an impact on document transfers if you keep the documents in Oracle. If they are kept in an FTP or network share, there should be no impact.   Correct however, and this is completely anecdotal , my impression is that it has increased performance across the board.  Screens a bit snappier etc

Thanks for reporting your findings and good that the change works for you. It's interesting why others don't need to do this, any guess? We only noticed it because we scanned a bunch of documents at one time to catch up after the upgrade and our Solarwinds Database Perfomance Analyzer software picked up on the wait time.  I then received feedback from users that attaching documents worked better after the change.  I don’t know that anyone “needs” to do this but I believe it may be helpful for everyone. If your Oracle server and Middleware are on the same network I don’t see how it could hurt.Realistically a  DBA that knows far more about oracle communications than I do could run some experiments and define improvements, ideal SDU size etc but I don’t have the resources to investigate it that deeply.

I just tried adding a line to Document Revision/Access and had no issues Then you probably are not affected by the problem I was thinking on, and it makes sense since you have SU7. Any thoughts if it’s possible to modify the Oracle SDU on the middleware server?  Sorry, no. You can try asking in the Framework section here on Community.   So I figured it out and posted it in framework., seems to have made a real difference

It seems like you have found that there is a general issue in Oracle - don't that affect other flows as well? I should mention that we had a problem on 23R1 where a performance fix created other performance issues. Perhaps that's what you are experiencing. There is a fix for that in a later SU. The impact of the bug shows in several places when using Document Management, and especially if you have a lot of documents (at least tens or hundreds of thousands I think, below that the data is not enough to see the issue) Well the specific Oracle problem would show up far more with attaching documents due to the size than anything else Do you happen to know which SU fixed this issue? We are currently on 7. We have 1,272,295  documentsThanksAlex

We have narrowed down the issue. It looks we have a major wait on  “SQL*Net more data from client”. Normally I would try playing with the Oracle SDU size to see if it could be tuned.Typically you can do that fairly easily by  configuring  SDU size on the server and the client. I’m just not sure how to change it  on the Ubuntu Middleware server with docker and Kubernetes pods. Is there any way to set that in the IFS middleware configuration?

I’m assuming you  replaced XXX with the appropriate IP address?  Here’s a test you can runRun  kubectl get pods -ANote the name of the pod with reporting-crRun kubectl exec -i -t  {ifsapp-reporting-cr-5ff95c59cc-vcd77 -c ifsapp-reporting-cr} -n {cdfprod} -- /bin/bash replacing the appropriate variables  Then  curl -v http://192.168.0.132/IFSCRWebSetup/Ifs_ReportService.asmxChanging the IP to your print serverIf it says connect time out that’s not good, it will be pretty clear when you have connected to the page.

IFS Cloud 23R1 - Crystal report setup error

For some reason I have yet to figure out changing it in “main-config.json” doesn’t seem to be fixing it.I run .\installer.cmd --set action=mtinstaller `--values C:\IFS\PROD\UB1-MWS-2314RU\ifsroot\config\ifscloud-values.yaml `--values solutionset.yaml `--set ifscore.networkpolicy.crystalhost=XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX but I do have to re-run it every time I install a delivery.

I can get there now! I tried on my phone over Airplane wifi the first time and it was unhappy! Can I import the schema from the existing production and then import it into test or does it have to come from test to begin with?   This assumes I’m using the “Export the IFSIAMSYS schema and import it after the DB clone” method

It is attached to the case however I did add the parameter shown above and I don’t believe it’s the issue as the Middle tier is able to communicate with the print server to some extent

Would  networkpolicy:     enabled: false In ifscloud-values.yaml override that?  "I'm not sure whether it would override, but if it doesn't, you can manually add them in the ifscloud-values.yaml file." parameter needs to be in installation values yaml (ifscloud-values.yaml) for it to be persistent. However, make sure it's property indented as below.ifscore:   networkpolicy:     enabled: true     crystalhost: 10.0.45.6 And run pods restart  Is there a way to test if this is working? I have done this and I’m still getting the error

Approval of production time

When we click authorize, we don’t get the separate authorize and approve options. Is there some kind of setup to make  the separate options appear?  Please disregard, it just had to do with supervisor permissions, working now

Crystal Reports Web Service Setup Problem

Hi @Alex Ivkovic, It seems  you are using a view named PART_REVISION in your report. IFS only supports standard report views(views that end with _REP) in Crystal Reports and if you use any other view, then you need to grant SELECT privileges on them to IFSPRINT and IFSSYS users.  Please try granting the above mentioned view and see if there is any difference.  Hope this helps!   Perfect! That was exactly the problem.
