Just to anyone who may have doubts: In the current IFS Cloud 21R2 Update 4 there is a German language online documentation and field help available!
What about Master Parts/Parts? I have found some Master Parts, where I can add Document Texts. And the Table view allows to show the Field “Document Text yes/no”. The entered texts also appear for example on the Purchase Order Report. I find in the Aurena Page designer the following sytax on the document text command:Enabled: {"and":[{"!=":[{"var":"record.DocumentTextNoteId"},null]},{"!":[{"method":["record.isDirty"]}]}]} What does “record.isDirty” mean?How can I add document text to Master Parts?
We are facing the same issue. Any ideas/news on this?

I searched the community and didn’t find the mentioned page and I believe the reason is, that it is not accessible to “normal” users within the community, only partners/IFS employees? At least I get a “content restricted” message. I have contacted the admin, but from previous experience I doubt access will be given. Can you maybe give a summary, if you have access? THXChristian

We are aware of the possibility of using any file format for the view file and have questioned if we can go down to only one view file, but we scrapped that idea as it does not fit our requirement and would cause a new problem during migration.Another document revision would “disconnect” the clear 1:1 relationship beween the native CAD-Drawing number and its output documents and their number. What is the roadmap for this functionality in IFS Cloud? What is the right path to adress this to R&D?
Hi Mathias, thanks for your response.We basically have one main use for this functionality: To make different output formats of engineering drawings available to the company. E.g. we make a drawing in our CAD-System and the native CAD-Format drawing file is managed in the engineering PDM Application (not the IFS PDM module, 3rd party PDM-System). Once the drawing gets released in the external PDM application, different formats of the drawing are automatically created, e.g. PDF, DXF, DWG and via interface should be attachted to the corresponding document in IFS, so that downstream process contributors like purchasing and manufacturing have the necessary information in the format of their choice. We have investigated work around solutions like multiple pages etc. and also had a lot of hope for the new “technical drawing” in IFS Cloud but it’s not really what we are looking for. Extended EDM really fits the gap. Christian

The missing export control functionality within the project and project deliverable is a significant functional GAP I would expext to see in this module. It is not comprehensible how the argument to use the project and project deliverable modules for large and/or complex projects coincides with missing functionality to ensure compliance regarding export control. I might say that I envy any company that has such projects while at the same time their business is fully domestic but I think that most companies will have a certain export business and require this functionality.Are there any plans to adress this in future releases? Hello Mathias, not sure if it is a Docman topic as I am relatively new to the IFS universe but maybe this might be an interesting topic: I am guessing that most Customers using IFS in some way or form purchase things from suppliers for which at some point in time they will receive an invoice.Yes, e-invoicing is progressing and gaining popularity but a lot of invoices will continue to be delivered in a PDF-Format. The usual path I assume most companies will take is to use an OCR-Software or more modern Form recognition software, connect it via API or whatnot and then have the documents and their respective data mapped in IFS.Since I assume that nearly 100% of companies using IFS have this, maybe an OOTB, configurable OCR/Formrecognition functionality or integration for this or similar processes in DOCMANwould be welcome? Hello Dhananjaya, thank you for investigating the behavior of the page designer in this specific case and confirming it. I would say it’s at least a bit buggy, but I’ll leave that to IFS to decide. :-) Your work-around works great and I will keep it in mind for future dialogues/assitants, should I stumble upon this issue again.
