There have been so many times where I wanted to read list values from the screen in the SmartClent, but I haven't found a way to do it. Like you said it just returns the first value. Client scripts would be much more powerful if this was possible. It sounds like you could do your validation with a business rule though.I believe I tested using update/insert commands in the client script sql, but if I remember correctly it just snuck the the data into the database and didn’t trigger business rules or set defaults, etc. I think you’re better off using a business rule for this as well.
Not sure if this is the best solution, but if this were my issue then I might create a new database view that returns all the columns displayed in your products tab. Then make a new products tab using the view.
There’s a ROW_LIMIT app parameter. I’m not sure if it will help you, or how high you’d want to set it. This is the description: Identifies the maximum number of rows that can be returned from the application server at one time. Value is any positive number.

I don’t know if there is a way to do that automatically.In the past I have added a report parameter and some scripting to the rdlc file to show different layouts based on the parameter value. That way when you run the report you can select the layout you like.
Maybe something in the relationship constraints in the child relationships part of UI designer is filtering out that contract?
We don’t have a built-in contract id field on the product table of our version of FSM. Do you know what database column it’s pointing to? You can check using the “View Information” option in the menu.
Just updating this in case anyone else stumbles across it looking for answers.I was able to get IT to send me a copy of the web config files for both Prod and Dev. I compared them using WinMerge and found a lot of lines in the Dev file that were not updated for our server. Most of the issues were paths pointing to folders that do not exist on our server. I’m guessing these were just the defaults after installing FSM. I updated the file to match the Prod and everything is working now.

According to the field description this is a “deserialized value of the .NET TimeZoneInfo object”. We had to keep increasing the max rows for our part table sync rule because our part table kept growing and the new parts weren't syncing to mobile. I’m guessing if you reduce yours below the actual number of parts in the table, you will face the same issue.
Are there instructions for adding multiple end points to the smart client that I could pass along to IT? I have a feeling this is where things went wrong as it’s the only thing we did differently this time. I just noticed we’re also getting “Unrecognized business object 'Quote'” on the Place screen as well.Thanks

Still version 6.5 Hi @csanders , Did the IT team change the web.config or MetrixEndPoints.xml file to point the respective environments? Can you also check whether the correct relationship is there for the request screen under the ui designer’s child relation editor? I’m not sure exactly which files IT updated, but I can now select the server I want to connect to via the dropdown on the login screen. This is something I was never able to do before. When the Production client is installed there are no options to select the server, but when the dev client is installed I can select Prod or Dev. The UI relationships are an exact match of our prod system which works fine.
@Shneor Cheshin I deleted and recreated his person record with the same person ID. He still had the same issue. The weird thing is that he signed into his account from another persons computer and also had this issue even though the computer owner has never had this issue.I created a second account for him with a new person ID and everything works. I don’t get it, but I’m glad he’s up and running.Thanks for your help!
Thanks for the replies!I was mistaken about it being every report. Apparently it’s just this one report and he can print other reports just fine. There have been no recent changes to this report. I guess I could try editing the report, it just seems weird that only one person has this issue. We have hyperlinks in a lot of reports. I checked the XML of a few of them I don’t see anything about “EnableHyperLinks” and yet he can print those.@Shneor Cheshin I have not tried deleting his account. I can give it a try, but knowing now that it’s just a single report do you think there is still a chance of it helping?@roklde We have never used the web client. We only use the Smart client.
@Shneor Cheshin, as I said before when I select a script type data source from the element designer the aggregate option in element designer disappear from the screen, so there’s no way to do what you suggest. I could get this tile working with a different type of data source. Using a script data source was the entire point for me. Thanks for your help, I agree that this seems like a bug.
@Shneor Cheshin Instead of getting hung up on the query, I modified my script to just return “10” (With no query). How can I get the tile to show 10 now? Thanks. It shows “10” in the data source designer. Element designer preview still shows an X.

The data source designer shows that my script is returning the value of 63 But this is what the preview of the tile looks like in the element designer. It seems like it should be working. @ATZSUMIT ,I think it’s going to come down to what exactly you want to update.You can have some fields update using a default def in custom meta data with overwrite set to always. For other things you may need to create a business rule to do it.
@MKNJSHAUL ,I have also asked this question before. IFS told me that it was not possible without custom code.It would be nice though.
I don’t know too much about surveys, but you could create a new table in the db to store these values. You could display the entries in a new tab on the person screen and could create a new mobile screen to input the values. With a little scripting I think you could create exactly what you’re looking for.
We are sending email from different email domains using Outlook 365. Both domains are configured in the same Outlook 365 server though.We have one account configured in the IFS app parameters. On the Outlook 365 side we had to give that account permission to send email as any other email accounts we want IFS to be able to send email from. We can now set the “message from” in the notification message to any address the main account has permission to send as.That’s all Outlook 365 specific so it may not help you.
