Thanks @kvbe , much appreciated.
Hi @Marcel.Ausan, do you know if there’s a quick/easy way to add data to our DEV environment in the Buildplace? For example, we’ve added a lot of Basic, Master and Transactional data into our BP DEV to facilitate CRIM development and testing, however whenever we have to create a new DEV, or apply a Release, we lose this data and need to re-enter manually. Ideally we’d like to copy the data from our Use Place TEST environment and add that to Build Place DEV but we can’t find way to do this?
OK, I found my answer. The customer needs to buy a specific SKU to be able to use this feature: Error when Sending container for signing | IFS Community Yes, and also it's not available for Remote deployment at this point, only Cloud deployment (IFS managed cloud service). Hi @Mathias Dahl, are there any plans to make this available to remote deployment for Cloud in the near future?
@Alexander Heinze did you get a chance to publish the 23R2 version of this document?
@cholus @EntNadeeL Did you ever find a solution to passing parameters into a Crystal Report from 23R1?
Did anyone find a way to resolve this? I’m also trying to default a toggle switch to ON and the ‘Default to Previous’ doesn’t help.Is there a way to do this without resorting to overwriting the default behaviour in Dev Studio?
Laura, In 23R1, there may be a solution. I presume that all employees in IFS will be created and maintained through another application. Therefore there is no need for users to access the person records of employees. If my assumption is correct, then I would suggest to add a filter to the record search to only find records that match is_customer = Yes or is_supplier = Yes (actual field name may be different). This can be done with Page Designer which is explained quite well in the Technical Documentation for 23R1. Once the changes have been made and then published, all user will only see contacts from either customers or suppliers. If you need more assistance, ask and I shall provide detailed steps to achieve this. Thanks Jacques, this has solved our issue.
Now I am very curious what you mean with the magic spreadsheet? Is it the excell migration tool? In previous versions we used a non-official Excel tool to copy an object from IFS, run a macro and then essentially paste the data back into IFS. It was a fantastic way to quickly add bulk data into IFS to support Basic Data entry and testing. It seems this isn’t possible in IFS Cloud, nor is the ability to copy and paste between environments.
Hi @James Ashmore , Can you advise how this is achievable in IFS Cloud 23R1? Thanks, Laura
Hi Samuel, No, nothing has been updated/changed since 23.1.4 in early September. Thanks, Laura
On a related note, is it possible to edit an existing field on a popup within Cloud (23R1)? Can you elaborate what that means and when you want to use it, and why? Hi Mathias, I wanted to make an existing field either read only or hide it from view, as the field exists on a popup you cannot do this using Page Designer. Masheesh provided a solution here - Editing Fields on Popups/Side Panels in Cloud (23R1) | IFS Community
HI @LauraB , You should be able to handle this via page designer. but I think this assistant is not defined in the lead page level. This has been defined separately therefore you won’t see this under Lead page in page designer. (The reason to use separate pages for assistant is to improve performance and reduce the size of the main page) You can follow the below workaround for this, Identify the client model for Convert Lead (since this has a separate projection and client model) . Here the client model is called “ConvertLead” Open a "Dummy" page and configure the Page Designer there. Use below as the URL and go to dummy page: <host>/main/ifsapplications/web/page/ConvertLead/dummy (The client will give you a 404 stating that page not found. It is fine and still can open page designer.) Now open page designer Go to "All Pages" >> "Assistants" >>“Convert Lead Assistant” >> "Steps" and do the configuration. In your case you c
